Hana Japanese Restaurant
Here at Hana Japanese Restaurant we will be introducing the authentic style of traditional sushi, Japanese cuisine, and wine-friendly foods. We stick to the fresh seasonal fish from Japan that is imported daily and the freshly grown local vegetables and meat. We also have local Napa Valley and Sonoma County Wine and chilled or warm sake that our chef hand-selects from Japan.

"Although we are locals, Hana is worth a drive up from San Francisco just to enjoy this wonderful food. Every single bite would be worth the time. Everything tastes amazingly fresh and clean. They don't hide their food with pounds of rice and thick layers of hot mustard and sticky sauces. The freshly made Wasabi and the black sesame ice cream are absolute must-haves. The service is friendly, professional and efficient. Even though they're in a strip mall, albeit an upscale one, the atmosphere is beautifully understated Asian once you pass through the doors. Hana is not inexpensive but I also cannot say that it's overpriced. We thought it was worth every dollar."

"This is our first time at this restaurant. We found it to be quite busy upon arrival, looks like it is a very popular place with the locals and the hotel guests (which we were). The food was very delicious and cooked very well. We had the plate dinners and our friends had the box dinners. If you want a little bit of everything, I suggest the box dinners. All our plates were very colourful and you get quite a bit of food. I would definitely go back one day...not from this area, so it may be very difficult, but if we had the chance, yes it's a definite!"

"This is the best Japanese restaurant in Sonoma County. Their food is not only fresh but also very authentic (I'm from Japan). Eventually, this is very competitive to the many popular Japanese restaurants in Bay Area.
I'd like to add a special note that their lunch manager, Danny has the most superior skills to provide hospitality to his customers.
I'm sure you would be pleased with dinner time although they are often packed and service could be slow, but I definitely suggest to try lunch whenever you have a chance.
They have a special daily menu for sushi lover which is very fresh and flavorful, but you won't regret any of non-sushi menu (I personally recommend Ten-don, Sea-food Katsu, Chicken-Katsu). Bento box provides a great value too."

"A little over-air-conditioned, but wonderful food and service! We go to Hana whenever we can. Ken doesn't serve up your run-of-the-mill sushi standards. He is an artist and conscious of sustainability and seasonality. Our server was knowledgeable and responsive."

"We have dined at Hana three times prior to attending the San Francisco Symphony at the Green Center. The food is wonderful. The server was excellent but had too many tables to handle. Most diners arriving between 5:30 and 6 are attending the symphony and have to leave no later than 7:30. The server was gracious and apologized for the slow service. Hana needs to "staff up" on symphony nights. Given the terrible parking situation at the Green, the pressure on Hana to get guests on the road will become greater."

"This is the best Japanese food we have had in the North Bay, and beats many in SF. They had several kinds of Blue Fin and were happy to explain differences as needed. Ten Zaru Soba was not on the menu but I asked about it and they were happy to make it for me. We'll go back!"

"This was our second visit to Hana and it was as great as the first. The wait staff knew we had symphony tickets. Our meal was served in a timely manner giving us plenty of time to drive to the Green Center. Reservations are highly recommended especially if there is an event in the area."

"Hana has been one our my favorite restaurants for the past 10 years, however we haven't been there for some time. This is the first time we've ever been disappointed by the service. Although when we arrived before the rush hour and the restaurant was not full, we waited a VERY long time for the waitress to take our order, then to receive our order. The food was excellent - as always - and because of that Hana will remain among our favorite restaurants and unquestionably our favorite sushi restaurant."

"Visiting from MN, we were tired (had been winery hopping all day after flying in from MN), hungry and simply did not want to drive any distance. We'd heard old things about Hana and decided o I've it a go. The food was great, each sushi roll served had a unique flavor and texture, the service was outstanding (wish I could remember her name) was fabulous, very well versed in all he foods being served. Definitely would go back !!"
