The Village Inn & Restaurant is located on the Russian River, with its spectacular views and majestic redwoods. It's the perfect spot for drinks and dinner. Under independent ownership, we offer a contemporary menu featuring steaks, chops, fresh fish and seafood, pasta, fowl and vegetarian dishes. We have a full bar with a premium well and a multi-award-winning wine list consisting exclusively of Sonoma County vintners or vines. There are three distinct dining areas to enjoy: The Deck overlooking the River is the perfect place for an al fresco meal or a drink to meet old friends or make new ones, The Bar is charming and intimate with extensive art, a fireplace and lots of windows to enjoy the views, & The Dining Room, reminiscent of a trans-continental rail dining car which offers the same spectacular views. Service and ambiance is Sonoma County casual and the food is superb. A favorite return spot for local residents and visitors alike!
"We were there on the last night of Sonoma County Restaurant week. Except for a group attending a winemaker dinner in the next room, we were the only people in the restaurant - so, we were alone in the bar area dining room. Which was strange and ok at the same time. The service was ok; our server was very nice, but I think her attention was split between us and the winemaker dinner. The food was good, but not outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant only if you are in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to get there."

"This place is a charming, welcoming place with good food. My husband and I felt like we had stepped back in time a few decades. Not a bad thing, just not expected. Like, when was the last time your had rice pilaf??? It was really good, just dated. I had a chicken dish that resembled a "cutlet"..again very tasty. The real joy of this place is Mark, the owner, greeter, and bartender. He is so great...makes you feel like you're part of his family. Overall, a great experience...will return and often..."

"The proprietor and staff are absolutely wonderful and welcoming to everyone that comes in the door. My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary at this restaurant and they made us feel extra special by being extra attentive. This is a nice cozy restaurant with regulars and locals coming in. We enjoyed meeting and talking with other folks while at the bar. We were put in a nice quiet area with a nice view and had a lovely meal."

"Perhaps it was just a bad day for this place, but the service, although friendly, was incredibly slow. My salad and my husband's soup were forgotten and then it took well over an hour after we finished our appetizers to get the main course. The crab croquette and the fish dinner were good. I'm thinking that maybe they just were understaffed that night because I have heard good reviews from friends. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary that night and I really wanted to treat myself to a delicious dessert, but after being there for almost two hours by the time the main course was over, I just couldn't stand to wait for dessert so we left without dessert... my favorite part of the meal."
