"Really good food for price point. All well prepared.
Slow, somewhat lackadaisical service, though friendly."

"Our table was waiting for us as we walked in and they also fulfilled our reservation request for a high back booth. We were comfortable and enjoyed the food tremendously. The sweet potato tater tots were outstanding. Service was friendly and just right. We would go again."

Review 3 for Beacon Street Tavern

"Would never go back for dinner. Limited offerings and not good. Drinks and appetizers were fine and that's where it ended. As a last resort, I ordered the vegetarian squash dish and it was tasteless and inedible. Another person in our party had a hamburg and said it was awful. Waitress was good, but offered nothing instead, simply removed the uneaten food and charged for everything. Very disappointing."

Review 5 for Beacon Street Tavern
Overall Rating
(Very Good)
"The new chef at Beacon Street ia a welcome addition. The food quality has improved - more creative, not oversalted, and properly cooked meat and fish. They've added some new things while keeping past successes. The baked cheese starter is great for sharing. The moules frites are well executed. The duck breast was perfectly cooked. The chicken pot pie was steaming hot and used chunks of roasted chicken in a flaky puff pastry crust. We were too full for dessert. Service remains hit or miss depending on whether or not your server in interested enough in your party to bother actually paying attention."

Review 7 for Beacon Street Tavern
Overall Rating
(Good)
"We really like the Beacon Street Tavern for its location and ambience. The quality of the food and service is a little uneven--sometimes really great, but occasionally so-so. On this past visit, the service was a little slow; my short ribs were fine (could have used more sauce to make me really happy), but my dining companion's fish pot pie was a bit of a disappointment. The crust was a bit soggy and the filling a bit bland--the couple seated next to us had to send theirs back--something just wasn't working with that pie! I've had better luck with the burgers and steak tips on other visits."
