Executive Chef Laurent Tourondel brings the celebrated flavors of BLT Steak to South Beach. "Love BLT Steak from the popovers to the coffee! When we arrived, the restaurant was busy but our table was ready for us. Our waiter and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Dishes were beautiful and sized to satisfy.The lobster cobb salad, the tuna tartare and the spiced swordfish were absolutely delish. The Certified Angus Beef (CAB) filet and the NY Steak were cooked to perfection. The peppercorn steak sauce was sweeter than we expected but definitely hot. The Key Lime Panna Cotta and the cheesecake were very nice too. We asked for a mocha, not in the menu, instead of an Espresso and we were shortly pleased. Overall we had a great lunch and great service."

"Everything was cooked to perfect, when it actually arrived at our table. We had a party of 4 and were brought food for 3 and the 4th party waited on her food for 37 minutes. The waiter took 15 minutes on refills and was very rude. Love the food but do something about your service."

"Steak was well cooked but could have been served a bit warmer and seasoned better. The butter garnish felt like a blob if fat as it never did melt. Popovers were good but heavy so filled up on those before meal showed up. The chocolate praline desert was too dense and not much flavor. Casual and comfortable the room at the Betsy was tastefully done with warm bar area."

"We had eaten at this restaurant in NYC in March so for our anniversary we decided to try the one in miami. The bread (poppers) were just as sgoos as in NYC.. Miami's BLT has a raw bar, my husband ordered the tuna tartar, real good & fresh. For
his entree, my husband had the duck which he said was to die for. I had the filet which was delish also. For a side dish we ordered the parmeasan gnocchis. Ehh.. Not what we expected. We shouldve ordered the baked potatoe or something else. The sides in NYC were more appealing.
For dessert we had the crepe soufle, that was realllly yummy. It was a nice experience.. Outdoor seating wouldve been better, as it was on ocean drive but the wait was 30 min (with resversations)."

"This was our first time at BLT Steak in South Beach. We were looking forward to a nice birthday dinner. The food was good; however it did lack service. One of our appetizers never came out and our dinner took a very long time to be served. We were compensated with a second glass of wine for free. The birthday was never acknowledged and we ate our dinner so late, that we didn't bother ordering coffee and...
It could have been new wait staff, not sure, but we would like to try the place again and hopefully the service will be more attentive."

"This was actually the second night in a row we went here. We had 12 people and one of our guests had to leave early so they took our orders quickly and delivered a small filet to the guest who had to leave early but kept the rest of us on a "normal" timleline. I didn't even have steak..I had Dover sole the first night and swordfish the second. Outstanding. Their popovers are fantastic. The waitservice was first class. Note - not cheap. Very expensive wine list."

"The food was ok. The service was a disappointment. It started with a hostess who had a "sour pus". She was charming compared to our indifferent waitress. The waitress wanted our food order before we had a chance to order a drink. She often disappeared for long stretches.
The food was ok . The chopped salad was nothing more than ice burg lettuce, The other main courses were ok but nothing special. There are many better choices in SB at this price point."

"We had brunch at this Miami version of BLT Steak. The popovers are simply delicious. They serve an entire breakfast in a large, flaky, delicious popover by halving it and then then filling it with gruyere, ham, spinach, poached egg, and topped with hollandaise. It is served with a side of bacon and breakfast potatoes. It's an absolutely delicious, savory breakfast that I would return for over and over. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the beautiful Betsy Hotel and provides a nice, energetic atmosphere with views of South Beach's public beach and the ocean."

"We really enjoyed our dinner at BLT Miami. It was the last night of our trip to South Beach and although BLT is just a little ways down from the main part of Ocean Drive, it is far enough away that you feel the cheesiness of may drag. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic. It is not a cheap meal but it is worth it! I would highly recommend it. It was viewed by all in our party as one of the best dinning experiences."

"We have been to this restaurant a lot and loved it. On this occasion we took friends from out of town who are moving down here. We sat for some time before we saw our server. The lamb chops had more fat than meat and well done came out rare. The wine list is very very expensive. Check for 5 with no desert was almost $600 and two shared an entree. Sorry, this is not one for me anymore."

"Everything was perfect, food, service, atmosphere. I do have one complaint though- we were talked into ordering one side dish each and told we needed it and that one to share was not enough. We were given a wonderful treat of pâté from the chef, then a huge popover so by the time our appetizers came we were getting pretty full. We had trouble eating our entries and neither one of us touched the side dishes. This made the entire wonderful meal end on a sour note."

"We were astounded at a glance by this place. Never thought to find a restaurant like this in Ocean Drive, area more oriented to fast food tourists. This beautiful louisiana plantation palace alike hotel (the restaurant is inside the Betsy Hotel) is really awesome. The lightning, the ambiance, and the most important, the food is excellent. Truly high quality steaks, from the best selection of nationwide producers. Impressive. We definitely recommend this marvelous restaurant."

"So I do not like the tourist strip on Ocean Drive but an out of town friend just stayed at The Betsey (where BLT Steak is housed) and said it was great. Bad call. The service was inattentive (no smiles, engagement or menu discussion) and very robotic. I could live with that. The food was a real (and unusual in my experience) problem. I ordered the crab cakes which turned out to be 70% breading...they should come off the menu now...I never return food to the kitchen but these were not eatable. Hoping for a better outcome I switched to meat thinking "it's a steakhouse" they can't mess this up. Ordered the Cab Filet...shows up cold! Sent back to "warm up"...came back over-cooked. No real attempt at explanations for apologies."

"Food is between good and very good, but there is nothing else special to set this place apart from the many others located along this strip. This is a fine place if you're just looking for good food. But if you want a special experience (and are willing to pay for it), then this may not be the place."

"I've been to BLT several times and always found the food fantastic. This time, not so much. I will pay over $50 for a steak, but I expect it to be great. Mine was extremely tough and not cooked as ordered. I ordered medium and it came seared on the outside and very rare everywhere else. First time I've felt ripped off by paying that much for one piece of meat. The other dishes were fine, but not as good as I had previously experienced. It was a let down."

"I loved dining on the front patio - it was quiet and relaxing, which was the perfect backdrop for enjoying our meal. Tried 2 varieties of west coast oysters - like them both. I ordered the small fillet and it was divine - the best I've had in years. The poached green beans were perfect. The decadent key lime panna cotta was good too. I'm from MN. Our server was from IL. Enjoyed reminiscing about back home. His service was artful - only noticed him there when we needed him."
