"We were in Buffalo to celebrate my son's college graduation and I picked Hutch's based on online reviews - I am not familiar with the city and my son knew no "fancy" places. It was wonderful!
There were 7 of us and we all have different tastes (including a vegetarian and someone who keeps Kosher). Everyone loved the food, including my boyfriend who pronounced it very good (which is the highest praise from him).
The service was excellent and they were so nice - when I called to tell them that we would be late because we were lost, they could not have been more understanding (unlike some experiences I've had on Long Island!).
Great food, great service, great place!"

"Our server was excellent. She made recommendations and checked back without hovering. My son and I were celebrating. I had a 5 Sipper Manhattan and he chose a Rusty Chain. The Manhattan's description is sweet, but it was not, which I like. I had the Foie Gras Torchon and we shared the bacon, which was bourbon and apple cider braised. Make sure you you get this if you dine at Hutch's. My son had the perch app which had a vinegar-based cole slaw and the perch was fried but not greasy. My entree was the fontina and sage stuffed veal chop wrapped in prosciutto. The dish was fabulous. My son had the shrimp and scallop topped halibut. My son had creme brulee and he described it as classic and done well. All I can say is go to Hutch's!"

"The food at Hutch's is excellent with a good selection for most tastes. I found the servers to be well trained and attentive without being disruptive. The bar is well stocked with higher end liquors and a great selection of wine by the glass or bottle. The only small problem is the restaurant is in an old home so noise travels and there is no defined hostess area."

"Always great food but we made a reservation for 7:30 and when we got there we waited 10 minutes for the hostess to greet us and were directed to the bar area to wait 15 minutes. I'm assuming they do this to get us to drink at the bar but what is the point in making a reservation? However the food and service(from the waitress) is always outstanding."

"First off let me say our waiter was outsanding with no complaints about him or the service he provided. The first problem was luke warm gumbo. The second problem was the restaurant was out of apple crisp and then told out of cheesecake. We had our Prawns and

"We went to Hutch's for our anniversary dinner. We don't live in Buffalo but happened to be there this weekend and had seen good reviews of this place. Maybe it is good for a Buffalo restaurant, but given the prices it was just ok. The service was slow, the food was fine but not worth the prices, and the menu selection left something to be desired. There were a number of things that were listed on the website menu that were not actually available. I would reccommend this restaurant if it wasn't so expensive because it's fine - just not worth the steep prices."

"We lived in Orchard Park, NY 13 winters before moving "south" to Pennsylvania. We often dined at Hutches while we lived in WNY and hadn't been back to visit for 5 years. While visiting our son, we dined at Hutch's this weekend. The quality of the food and drink hasn't changed a bit. This is one of the culinary gems in Buffalo. The young chefs in the kitchen are culinary artists in the true sense of the word. The food quality, flavor and presentation continue to be awesome. Prices are reasonable considering the offerings. I was especially happy with the wine specials list. Hutches was offering a Barolo at the price I would expect to pay retail in our pathetic Pennsylvania State Stores. Great value! The veal chop is superb!"

"I have been to Hutch's many times over the last ten years and had overall a good opinion of the place. Last time was not what I expected at all. My friend's salmon dish was inedible and my sesame crusted tuna was sinuous. Since tuna served this way should be sashimi grade this was unacceptable. We didn't complain about our food because we were dining with an out-of-town guest and didn't want to make him uncomfortable.... he seemed to enjoy his food... but who knows maybe he was also being polite. The Guinness chocolate cake was nothing special...kind of blah. Hutch's has never been particularly a foodie place, but I used think about it as a solid and consistent joint. Not anymore :("

"Very good food and everything was perfect, from our welcoming to the 1st drink and our dessert. Only problem I had was that our waiter never asked my husband if he wanted dessert after bring the 2 complintery dessert for the 2 birthday celebrants. And after receiving our 1st cup of coffee - it took some time to get a 2nd and then the waiter brought some for myself and my friend but never any for my husband."

"Our server Anthony was wonderful. Very friendly, energetic and was ejoying his job.
All four meals ordered were cooked to perfection. I love a good steak and my strip steak just melted in my mouth.

"My husband and I had dinner reservations for 7:30 pm. We were not seated until close to 8:00 pm. The restaurant feels claustrophobic
as there are no windows in the back room where we were seated.

"Was horrible that I had to wait over 1 1/2 past my reservation to get seated. I left and went to another restaurant. I understand it was busy, but 1 1/2? I will not go back to this restaurant, no food is that good to wait that long after a reservation."

"Very nice for a special occasion, although the dessert menu is a little over a the top. Mr and my wife felt the desserts had far too much going on with them too really enjoy. All in all it is a nice place for a good dinner and phenomenal table service."

"I love Hutch's, out of my price range, but certainly a nice place to take guests. Dinner plates stayed way too long on the table after we finished eating, we had to talk over empty plates, so we skipped coffee and dessert. Nicest place in town would repeat again soon!"
