Blue Stove at Nordstrom
Blue Stove is a stylish yet casual restaurant featuring our interpretation of contemporary flavors focusing on bold tastes and textures. The menu allows our customer the chance to experience our offerings through a variety of small plates that are bold in concept and internationally inspired. We invite our customers to select combinations of menu items with the goal of sharing each dish, making a dining experience unlike any other. The exhibition kitchen provides a stage for our chefs to prepare the menu in a colorful, energetic environment. The wine bar romances wine while providing an alternative dining experience. Our cuisine is inspired by local ingredients at the peak of seasonal freshness. The menu is complemented by a well chosen selection of interesting wines, many available by the glass to pair.

"Surprisingly great tapas in Nordstroms. Open kitchen, you can see the chefs cooking. I was not sure what to expect , but everything was delicious. I suggest the chopped vegetable salad ( small plate also) and sweet and spicy beef. The chicken tacos were also very flavorful."

"The chicken tacos were great we ended up ordering them 3 times. Meatballs were ok, as was the garlic roasted chicken. However, the sweet pea croquettes were a surprising delight.
Overall it was a good meal for 3 and provided a quiet enough atmosphere to talk through dinner."

"Blue Stove is the place I suggest when a friend says, "Let's have lunch." The food is truly always superb - imaginative, delicious, fresh, appealing. The atmosphere cozy and relaxing. It is our "go to" place for good reason. And the service, attentive, polite and gracious is almost always perfect. This time it was not, something so unusual that my friend and both took notice. But we will return, perhaps our waiter needs some more training."

"We met up with coworkers here one night. The place was comfortable and fun. We were there to talk so the noise level was quite nice. There were a lot of people but we were still able to carry on a conversation. The food was quite good. Better than what I would have thought for something inside a clothing store. The plates were nice to share, the wine was reasonably priced and quite good. We ended up sharing about 8 or 9 plates and a couple of bottles of wine. As a mid-week meetup spot, where you want to talk, and catch up with friends, it is a nice spot."

"This was the second time I have taken a corporate executive to dine at Blue Stove.
I warn them before hand this is NOT your usual dining experience.
We ordered food like we were taking a trip around the world!
Meatballs to start, followed by chicken tacos, then onto Lamb Brochettes, Scallops & Risotto, butternut squash for fun....and then he ordered ANOTHER Scallops & Risotto becaused he loved them.
While we were dining, his wife called and he gushed over the menu and how they had to find a Blue Stove near home - he couldn't wait to take her!

"I took my girlfriend there for valentine's day. I have been meaning to go for a while. The location is a little unusual with it being inside of Nordstrom, but the place was great. My only complaint is that the tables are way to close to one another. You feel like you are eating with the people on either side of you. Also, it's a wine and beer bar only which was unexpected. The food was excellent and the service was superb. The price was not too bad, I'd say $$-$$$. 2-3 dishes each should do the trick nicely. I look forward to going back, but next time we will wait for a booth."

"This restaurant serves "tapas", small plates, so we could try a wide range of foods.
Interesting menu, with several "southern" entrees like green fried tomatoes or shrimp and grits (which were great)! On the other hand some other combinations did not deliver well, such as the salads or the Vietnamese sliders.
The decor is nice, simple, clean. Excellent service.
I had booked for Valentine's day, as we had plans at the Mall after dinner.
Being Nordstrom I was expecting a romantic and exclusive place. Instead, it's a rather casual place, with a large dining room which doesn't offer much privacy so its ambiance did not strike me as romantic or elegant."

"We went on Valentines Day.
Despite being very busy we were seated promptly ( thank you OpenTable!)
Our server was attentive and took the time to answer our questions.
We appreciated that he split a glass of wine for us.
The food was delicious. We eat here about 4 times a year and it is reliable.
We especially like the mushrooms with asparagus."

"The locale itself is quite stylish – it is after all Nordstrom – the food was overall OK.
We were 4 adults at lunch each ordering 2 small plates, all were too salty.
I ordered the Lemon Risotto and Scallop: risotto was much too salty and it looked like there was 1 (yes, one) diver scallop in my plate sliced in 3 pieces. Definitively not worth the price.
My second plate was the crab cakes, they were perfect: the right texture, perfect frisee with a light dressing, the remoulade had a nice kick. I’d definitely order these again.
For dessert, the Valrhona (THRILLED to see Valrhona on the menu!!!) raspberry cake was overcooked and slightly too sweet. All desserts were massive compared to the savory plates.

"My friend an I visited teh Blue Stove on a Tuesdau evening. Our server was very attentive for the first porting of our visit. As the resaurant became busier, she wnet "missing" for about 15 minutes. It was not botersome as we were enjoying our conversation. However, I can see he service being suspect on a busy night.
All in all, this experience exceeded my exoectaions. The food was very good, the wine seletion better than average. We will certainly return. Perhaps next time the service will be consistent thourought dinner."

"Blue Stove was a fantastic find! The service was impeccable, and the food was out of this world. Combinations of flavors that were delicious and left you wanting to come back. I went with a friend at dinner time, and we enjoyed the Arugula salad, Ricotta Meatballs, Chicken Tacos, Risotto Croquettes, Broccolini, and an Apple dessert with homemade cinnamon ice cream, (really delicious!). I highly recommend stopping in for a bite, or making it a dining experience, you will not be disappointed."

"Having never dined in a dept. store before, I didn't expect much, but my gf and I quickly forgot that we had walked through a Nordstrom. The food came out extremely fast, the wine was delicious, and the dishes were interesting enough (the steak with almond puree was a bit odd, though). Great atmosphere, and the plates are perfect for sharing. Dessert options are not very interesting. Overall I would probably visit this restaurant again in 2 months or so if I lived in the area."
