"This conveniently located restaurant located in a Doubletree Motel had surprisingly well prepared American cuisine. The compact menu, with a nice addition of specials, was appealing and executed well by the kitchen. Pricing was fair and comparable to other casually excellent restaurants in the Metropolitan area."

"Food was decent and tasted good but the bread on the sandwiches was fairly dry. The caesar salad was very tasty but the portions were small for the price."

"Food was excellent, great variety, well-presented. Service was less effective than earlier visits - had to ask repeatedly for drink refills, etc. Still, a lovely meal and an excellent value, especially for a large group."

"The food here is ok. Service was terrible. I had to ask for our drinks twice, my son needed a straw to drink his beverage - had to ask for that twice, too - and it took forever to get our food. Our waitress kept disappearing. When our entrees finally arrived, she didn't bring any ketchup to the table and she was nowhere to be found, so I walked across the restaurant and got some from another table. We wanted coffee, but it took so long for her to come back to get our entree plates, we decided to skip it. Then we had to wait for the check, which finally came and then she didn't come back to take our payment, so my husband finally went to the front desk and paid for it. Terrible - we will never dine here again."

"My friends and I enjoyed having the lunch there. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a long lapse between each course. I had been there a few times already and it was very good. Other than that I wood definitely go back"

"The service didn't seem to be experienced or know what they were doing half the time. The service as slow and we had plates sitting on our that sat there for way too long. The food was presented in a five star style but the taste and quality didn't come anywhere close to five stars. The reaturant was in the middle of the hotel we were next to the bar and the hustle bustle of the hotel. We went here expecting a classy ambiance and amazing food and we left aggravated and highly disappointed. I would never dine here again not would I suggest it to anyone for a dining experience."

"This restaurant was chosen for the interesting Restaurant Week Menu despite being in a hotel which, unfortunately is it's undoing. Too bad the space is for the blue haired ladies as the food and service should make this one a winner. Vegetarian entrees are usually not very creative, not only was the entree delicious, it was creative. The non-vegetarians all thought the food was really fresh and perfectly cooked. If it were not for one appetizer which was awful, I would have rated the food higher."

"We were the only patrons at noon, a bad sign, and wait staff still took twenty minutes to delivery a basket of bread. However service was much more reliable once the appetizers finally arrived."

"Bistro Z is located in the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown so it was somewhat surprising that the food is of such a high quality. Three of us had dinner here, and we enjoyed a "Restaurant Week" menu - three courses for $29.95. We started with a delicious pumpkin soup followed by sea bass with crab and duck as main course selections. We each selected different dessert choices that included an apple crepe and a chocolate ganache. Service was helpful and friendly."

"I was not impressed by Bistro Z. The space itself isn't too bad considering it is located in a hotel. Unfortunately, right across the hall is a bar. We had dinner during a basketball game and throughout the evening there was plenty of shouting going on.
We had the Restaurant Week menu. The food was not particularly good and the portions were too large. Our server was kind but we never got bread plates.
There are plenty of nicer places to have dinner in Westchester. Check those out instead of going to Bistro Z."

"Went on a Groupon. Menu the same week after week. Many dishes are basted in garlic; so if you don't love it your out of luck. Didn't come by to refill water. Dinner was good but not as great as last time we were there. Without a Gropon it's pricey. Shrimp cocktail which had 4 shrimp was $14."

"We arrived right on time for our 5:30 reservation and were greetd by name by the hostess.A wonderful table by a window near the fireplace which was lit shortly after we sat down. Our server was punctual and got better as the meal progressed.Chilean Sea Bass with a vegetable/potato ragout was well made and tasted vey good. The shrimp and scallops with asparagus risotto was excellent. Cappucino and a trio of sorbets was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The cost was reasonable, the atmosphere was warm, and even with a wide open room the noise level was very manageable. I would go here again even if I wasn't staying at the hotel. A nice place to meet friends and business clients."

"Our trip to X Bistro was memorable and we'll certainly return. Our meals was fine and the only complaint is that the service was very slow at the end of the experience as the restaurant got busier."

"Food and service is terrific. I would not recommend not going on the weekends, as there are many families who are staying there and their children are allowed to scream. However, the hostess was very good and asked the adults with the screaming child to move to another room. We told her that we would our entrees home, as it is not enjoyable to have a lovely dinner with a screaming child right next to your table, and the parents could care less! The parents moved and we continued our dinner. Next time during the week only!"

"Beautiful room in a hotel. We were the only ones present in the restaurant for an early dinner, so we can't attest to the noise level at more "normal" dinner hours. The staff was wonderful, couldn't be more helpful."

"Truly a hidden gem. One doesnt often think of a hotel restaurant as being anything more than mediocre food at exhorbitant prices-not so here. The prices are comparable with other local establishments, the service is very good and the food is well prepared. We keep on going back!"
