"Service was very slow. Our wine did not come with our first course, so we flagged down a waiter (no easy task) and asked for it. Our wine was served to us again by our first waitress an hour after we sat down. When she found out that we had already been served, she whisked it away. The bill was very slow to come. This meal took two hours, but it wasn't our choice to stay that long.
The website said that the prix fix was $25. The window said it was $27. The bill said $28."

"We have been here several times over the past couple of years. As of late the dishes seem to be getting more variable. For instance, my wife had duck confit, which was incredibly salty, and she like salty food. I had steak tartare w frites and the frites were limp and soggy. However, our two table mates had excellent fish dishes. Perhaps it was an off night - lets hope so,"

"Tati has hit a roadblock. Taken its best items off the menu. Reduced portions to ridiculous levels. Decimated its wine list. Made good service impossible by only having one waitperson for the entire room, with inept help from the owner. The cassoulet, which used to be one of the best offerings, is simply put unedible (mealy beans, large slabs of uncooked fat on the duck, tasteless sausage--nothing else). I've been a regular for many years, but I won't be going back."

"Overrated restaurant. When I read the reviews, I had the impression that it was much better, that they had a special brunch for Easter, but it was not the case. The decor is run down, mostly a college kids restaurant. Does not give me the impression that it is a French restaurant, in spite of the name, so it is misleading, more a poorly copied french cuisine."

"Setting atmospheric, casual, easy going. Excellent service by our attractive (elegant actually), friendly waitress. Pacing very good; took our time, no rushing of courses. The food is very good, too. One of those places you can depend on to be a good choice."

"The food was great as usual, but I have one complain. I was thinking of going to a Winterlicious restaurant on Harbord that night. Tati is not doing Winterlicious, but their website advertises a prix fixe menu for $25, so we decided to go.
When we sat down, that menu was $28. When we asked the server, she said 'sorry, they changed the price'. Well, the laminated menu looks quite worn out, and there is even a die-cut sign on the window, so the change couldn't be too recent. She never offered to charge the advertised amount.
We ordered anyway, not wanting to make a scene. We ordered wine and beer with our meal too. But we keep having the feeling that they have purposefully leave the cheaper price on the web to attract customers."

"We had a family dinner at this place as I crave some French food. Escargot (excellent), frog legs, Mussels are all great. Pickerel was good, the sauce was great. Duck confit would be better with some sauce. Lamb was good, just portion is smaller than expected. In all, good food and reasonable price."
