"The wife and I have a very nice "kid-less" dinner date with another couple. Food and service was excellent! The menu is very good but for Foodies pay attention to the chef specials. My only gripe is that the booth we were seated at was a little too small for the 4 of us. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars."

"The restaurant was out of the bottle of wine we tried to order and out of the dry aged steak my husband wanted to order.
He was not happy with the steak he ordered. It was supposed to be a Kobe steak but it was dry, a little tough, and did not look like its picture on the menu at all. Disappointed......"

"Have been there several times a year to celebrate special occasions, and this time was for my birthday. As an appetizer I ordered the "Krispy Kreme" size onion rings, a meal in itself, and they were excellent. For my entree, I ordered the 8oz. fillet, well done,
although in hindsight, I should have ordered it medium well. The edges were a little too crispy, but still an excellent steak. And as a side, ordered the mash potato's and mushromms accompanied by a very nice Cabernet wine."

"This is a great restaurant for a special occasion. The food is very good. Service is outstanding, and the restaurant goes the extra mile if you let them know in advance of a special occasion, (birthday.)
Unfortunately, this is not the kind of restaurant you want to go to every week. Prices are one of the highest in the area. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine will run, on average close to $200 before gratuity.
But, for that special occasion, it is a wonderful experience."

Some ordered items did not come out promptly so you wer waiting tostart your meal. I feel the price was high for most items considering the size of the portions. "This was the best steak I have ever had. My wife and I celebrated our 14th anniversary by relaxing in the nice suede-type booth. Evan had the kitchen write "happy anniversary" in chocolate on my wife's dessert plate. The food was exquisite. The noise level was just a dull roar. The only problem was a family with children in the private area across from us. Kids played with the blinds. They were unkind to the staff as well. DO NOT bring kids here. It makes no sense and you will be miserable/make someone else miserable."

"Very relaxed enjoyable evening. Good menu selections. Service and food excellent. Our server was Mary. Attentive, friendly, professional. The manager also stopped by our table to check on us. This was our second trip to Chop House, and it won't be our last!"

"Very good food. Steak was perfectly cooked. Au Gratin potatoes were to die for! My only complaint is the staff. Our server Tim never smiled and was very slow and her personality was sterile. Other staff did hang around near our table to chit chat which was disturbing. Over all was very good."

"The table was terribly located -- there should have been a policeman there to direct the traffic that was passing by constantly. The waitress was OK, but a bit pretentious. The food was passable, but overpriced. With substandard ambience, staff, and cuisine, I couldn't in good conscience recommend the restaurant."

"A wonderful evening from start to finish, attributed in large part to our enthusiastic, knowledgable and very friendly server, Trevor! Trevor was always available, yet not overbearing.We began our dinner by splitting a wedge salad (split in the kitchen). It was loaded with Gorgonzola crumbles and a light dressing. Moving on to our entrees... Our steaks were all cooked perfectly. Accompanying sides included a piping hot baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. The creamed spinached rivaled that of top steak houses. It was our daughter's 17th birthday, so Trevor announced that dessert was on the house. She chose the Peanut Butter Bombe, a delightful mousse covered with chocolate ganache. A lovely evening!"

"We had a great time as usual but the food took quite a while to come out. Our server seemed to be on top of things but the kitchen must have been behind. We went for my birthday and we had other plans for after dinner, but we had to cancel after the meal took so long."

"The Sliders, French Onion soup and the Wedge salad were all very good, as usual, but the NY Strip I ordered, although perfectly cooked, was very gristly. I tried to eat around it but it was difficult and considering the price I expected better quality. When I brought the issue to the waiter’s attention he did ask the manger to come to the table. The manager did apologize and offered 2 options, cook a replacement to go or remove the steak from the check. I appreciate that he was willing to something but I expected a little more from a high end restaurant.
I usually enjoy dining at the Chop House and love the food but after the last experience I think I’m going to go back to eating at Morton's"
