Jack's Restaurant is a casual dining experience offering Turner New Zealand all natural meats and fish as well as italian cuisine. Dinner is served seven days a week starting at 5:00pm. Breakfast on Sundays 8:30-2:30 Catering and banquets are available. happy hour everyday from 5:00pm until 6:30pm in the bar and patio.

"I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. We arrived early for a few drinks at the bar. The bartender was really great and made strong drinks. Then it was time to sit - we had a great, friendly waiter, who was also suitably attentive. The food was great too - I had a petite rack of lamb with some sort of deglazing sauce that was excellent, served with mushroom/rice and grilled carrots (that also had some finishing sauce on them). My girlfriend was not as hungry and had a Caesar salad with blackened grilled salmon, which was also very well done. The dressing was clearly made fresh with eggs and anchovies. If you're looking for a great place for dinner, you can't go wrong with Jacks."

"It is hard to characterize Jack's. The food is very good but it is not exactly "plain" and not exactly "foodie" food. There are some excellent appetizers - the polenta and eggplant appetizer (which is actually eggplant parmesan) are the best. The main courses are all well-prepared but fairly standard. As to the atmosphere, it really is "your neighborhood place," suitable for dress-up or ultra-casual, so it's not that formal yet formal enough if you are looking for a romantic dining spot. The service is very good and the staff (and owner) are friendly. All in all I give it a "thumbs up" but it is not the place to go if you are looking for the lastest trendy or adventurous offerings."

"I had a great experience at Jack's. I was celebrating my birthday and a friend's birthday on my visit. Our food was delicious and a great value for what you get. It's a cute place and everyone was nice. They wished us both a happy birthday a couple of times so it was nice they remembered it was a special occasion. "My wife and I truly enjoyed the organic items that were offered. We tried the fresh caught Sole and really liked it. The restaurant gives an entirely different message on the outside verses what you experience inside. Once you are inside and seated you will love the ambiance and the feel. "Jack's is the place we go for special occasions...and every time we go is special. My wife loves the salmon. I have tried several items, but the sirloin with a Merlot reduction was out of sight. We go early for our reservation just to sit at the bar and meet new people, and Jack is always there with a smile! Our last visit we met a couple from Vermont and they raved about the place. Prices are right on. You get more than you pay for."

"Second time at Jack's now. I chose to go there for Valentines this time! I was not let down. Food is very fresh and excellently executed. The atmosphere is very quiet, and private. The service is that of a restaurant twice it's price range. Great place to go for any occasion!"

"Wonderful restaurant in Dana Point. Relaxing and you can actually carry on a conversation without screaming across the table. The food is excellent. I especially like the John Dory with Grapefruit Sauce. The best fish I've ever had. Jack who is the owner is so friendly and always visits each table to be sure that everyone is happy with their dinner. Jack's in Dana Point is a must. You won't be disappointed!!"

"If you are looking at great food at reasonable prices, this is the place. Jack's uses organic, locally grown ingredients, grass fed meats, free range chicken and fresh caught fish. I've eaten here 4 times now and every meal has been outstanding. Never a disappointment. Service is pleasant and attentive. Wine and bar selections excellent. Kind of an odd location in Dana Point, but the restaurant is cozy and very comfortable. Outstanding selection for a great meal. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in south Orange County. Food rival and service rival the best restaurants in Newport or Laguna at better price points. Enjoy!"
