Welcome to Amici Restaurant, where friends meet friends, in the heart of Boston's historic North End. Located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway just a few minutes away from the TD BankNorth Garden and accessible to many T stops. Ours is one of the few family run restaurants around. We are open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. We are also open for dinner on TD BankNorth concerts and Celtics Home games and welcome private parties.
"This was the first time I had been to Amici. There were 5 of us and we put in our order around 7:30. At 8:30 we asked the waitress to check on our food since it had been awhile. We had to ask a second time before we were told that a chef had cut himself and was at the hospital and the backup chef had just come in. Another waitress came by and said the chef of 25 years just walked out. Either way, it was about 9 when we were told about this. We decided to stay since we were already there and would have to wait for food somewhere else anyways. While waiting, a pipe burst above the table behind us. We got our food a little after 10. The food was decent (probably because we were so hungry). We still had to pay for most of the meal too."

"As a frequent diner in the North End, we had high hopes for Amici. Upon arrival, it was hard to tell where to check in for reservation, the staff was disorganized and running around. We stood with several other parties waiting to be helped for quite a while. Food was fair, nothing special. Wine was not great - none of us finished our one glass. Wait staff was very disorganized. We had to ask for plates, silverware, drinks to be refilled... We could hear several other tables complaining about how long they had waited for their entrees. A lot can be forgiven if the food is good - it was not. There are so many good choices in the North End, this is not one of them. We will not return."

"While the food at Amici was good - not great but good. The service left a little to be desired. The wait-staff was busy all night scratching off lottery tickets and at one point our waitress had to call her bookie. There was more artwork on the staffs bodies then there was on the walls. This restaurant also claims to be in the 'north end' Boston's well known Italian section if it is they are on very out skirts and I am not really sure if it would qualify as north end. The good news...there is a parking lot across the street for only $20.00 for dinner."

"Our dinner at Amici was very good. A little off the beaten path of Hanover Street. Waitress was great and told us about the feasts in the North End during the summer. Walked to Hanover Street after dinner for dessert. Had a great time."

"Been here a few times before TDGarden events. Food and service are great; not fancy but comfortable. Have brought my family (teenage daughters) and clients. Never had a bad meal."

"This was my first visit to Amici--a dinner stop before heading to the airport--but I'll be back the next time I'm in Boston. My wife and I shared a plate of fried calamari, which were fine: crispy on the outside and not rubbery, as calamari too often are. Then she had the sautéed scallops special, and I had veal marsala. Both mains were tasty. The dishes weren't adventurous, but if you're looking for traditional Italian-American comfort food, Amici is a good bet. There was a large family seated near us, and we saw that the waitresses were good with children."

"It took at least 30 minutes after we were seated to get our drink order taken, and that's only because we flagged down a waiter. The place is small, so it shouldn't take that long. Then it took an additional 30 minutes to place our food order...had to eat in 15 minutes to get out of there on time."

"Our first dinner at Amici was excellent. This visit was a disappointment. To be fair, they were shorthanded. But they ran out of some of the specials, and rather than coming back and offering another choice, they brought part of the meal (in this case, stuffed shells without the meatballs), which did not give us the option of refusing the truncated version and choosing something else. Also, the food was cold when served. They food is very good, however, but I would recommend going to Amici on a quiet weeknight rather than a busy weekend."

"Food was delicious and the service was very good. Prices were about what I expected. However, I was a bit shocked to discover that the Sangria, which was on special, cost $12 per glass!"

"Went to eat there for our first valentines day and it was great. It's a very nice place with excellent food, large portions and good prices. We ordered Calamari for and apitizer and I had veal as an Entrée and both were cooked perfectly. Sitting at the front of the restaurant in the window was also very nice and the staff were all very friendly and polite. It's a small place that is nicely decorated and is a great choice for something nice but not overly fancy or expensive. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly go back and recommend it to others."

"The duck tape on the carpet on the stairwell was my first sighting which wasnt good. Waitress sat our group and within 90 seconds had asked us 3 times what we wanted to drink or place orders for apps....i was a bit annoyed already for feeling rushed. The old lady with the tattoos all over her arms grabbed our dinner plates and drink glasses off the table when we werent even done yet. Thank God the food was atleast good, the lobster ravoili was delish."
