On May 8th, 2008, The Edison opened its doors and became a fixture in Ft. Myers dining and nightlife. Located on historic McGregor Boulevard, just one mile south of the world famous Edison & Ford Winter Estates, The Edison is a tribute to one of Ft. Myer's most favored past residents.
Upon stepping across the threshold of The Edison Restaurant, Bar and Banquet Center, visitors are taken to a simpler era with memorabilia and decor complimented by our beautiful outdoor porch and Terrace Bar overlooking the famous Fort Myers Country Club. Our spacious, yet private dining facilities are perfect for weddings, banquets and private parties. Each of our dining areas offer elegance with a touch of warmth from a time gone by.
Enjoy our daily specials from lunch and dinner to live entertainment and drink specials. The Edison restaurant, Bar and Banquet Center is a great bar, a great restaurant, in an ambiance of fun and indulgence.
"The menu was wide and fantastic. They paced the crowds so that the food area never felt congested. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the golf course, would not have wanted to listen to the cheezy entertainer inside. Will definiately return to try the regular menu."

"The salad bar at the end ofthe table, where the deserts were, had empty plates and plates with half eaten deserts, and the cup of water for the ice cream scoop was full of ice cream floating in it, yuck. Price of $39 was ridiculous. The salad bar still had breakfast foods, and we arrived there at 5:30!"

"Great hot spot. Our favorite dining restaurant prior to taking in a play at the Fla. Rep. Most entertaining dining rooms. Food is good, but prime rib last week was a little tuff. But all in all, have always had a great time there. Drinks are priced reasonably. Could develop some more low priced appetizers. Outside patio dining looks like a blast. will be back."

"We always have a good meal at The Edison. We ate out on the patio overlooking the golf course with family from out of town. We can always count on a good meal at reasonable prices."

"I was not overly impressed on my first visit to the Edison. I chose the stuffed flounder and it was cold along with the asparagus. My wife ordered shrimp over linguine and the shrimp was way over done. Others at the table had the fish fry and a seafood dish which they loved. The waiter Ms. Jordan was outstanding always looking or asking if there was anything she needed to do for us.
Yes I will give it another try, every restaurant has an off night. I would recommend not sitting in the bar area to much noise, you have a hard time talking. The back dinning room our the pitio looked like the place to be. They have a great special occasion priviate dinning room."

"We brought my mother-in-law to the Edison for a pre-theater dinner. Arriving at the restaurant promptly at 5:30 pm, we were seated almost immediately. However, we were ignored for at least 10 minutes before ordering, we waited 45 minutes for our dinner and we started fretting that we would be late for our performance. Our food was good, but the stress and noise negatively affected what should have been a pleasant dining experience."

"Never been there before, saw their ads and booked a table thru Open Table on the same day. Had to wait only 5 minutes to be seated. One dining room was closed due to a wedding so everyone else was jammed into the bar area. Very noisy, waitress was more interested in taking care of her large parties vs. our table of 2. Had to ask about the prime rib special which we had. Food was okay but meat was floating in a sea of juice. Was in and out in an hour. Found it amazing how fast the check came when I had to flag her down for a beer. Won't judge this based on one visit but there is room for improvement ."

"We had lunch at The Edison earlier in the week and decided to return for dinner with family members, including an energetic 4-year-old. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and did everythung possible to make sure we had a great experience. When our niece didn't like her macaroni and cheese, it was immediately replaced with a hot dog and fries. The restaurant had crayons and a coloring placemat for her, too. The food is an interesting mix of new and old. I had pot roast for dinner, which was delicious, and a roasted pear and salmon wrap for lunch, which was unusual and fantastic. The ambiance is warm and although the bar was noisy with golfers, it was a very pleasant evening."
