Step off the Bridger Gondola at 9095' and walk into a contemporary and hip new place.
Already recognized by Food and Wine Magazine as the place to eat in Jackson Hole (February 2008) and most recently named on the Conde Nast Hot Tables list (May 2008), guests will enjoy exceptional hospitality, delectable American cuisine with Rocky Mountain roots and warm service. "Our dinner was delicious. At a table for 4 with very varying tastes, there was something delicious for everyone to eat. Phil and Howie, our servers, were very attentive and friendly. Mike, the sommoilier, was very knowledgable about the wine and how it paired with the food. The gondola ride was not just a mode of transportation but a fun part of the whole experience.
Couloir would also be a great place for a private event or wedding- you cannot beat the views or overall experience!"

"Given Coloir is considered 'fine dining', the lack of service to and from was surprising. The hot chocolate/Bailey's was a nice touch but given diners are dressed for 'fine dining', the lack of seat covers/cushions and/or blankets is disappointing. Additionally, when arriving at the top, one would expect a 'greeter' or someone to direct to the restaurant."

"I was excited to dine at Couloir after a week long stay in Jackson Hole. The restaurant delivered on all fronts and easily exceeded my expectations. Food was amazing and wine pairings were spot on. The house smoked tenderloin of Buffalo was absolutely delicious and my favorite of the evening. It was beautifully paired with a California cabernet."

Management was quite responsive to our request of not sharing in with the 4 course dinners set up for that evening. "....while skiing. Reservations are a must at this mountain hot spot, off the gondola, if you don't want to wait 45+ minutes to be seated for lunch. I had their grilled cheese sandwich which was delicious. My husband had the chicken ceasar salad with a roasted pepper infused dressing. Also very good. Portions are generous so no room for dessert-- although tempting. Many people enjoy libations with lunch or at the bar, so be careful when getting back on the slopes. There's always the gondola for assistance down the mountain."

"Had a wonderful dinner and bottle of wine here. The ride up the Gondola was very different in the dark of the night but once we got there everyone made us feel welcome. The three course meal was fantastic with the right portions and make sure you save room for dessert! superb!"

"I was skeptical that the ambiance could shift from daytime ski lodge with sweaty skiers to an elegant fine dining restaurant. But it did. We had a fantastic dinner and were served by a seasoned waitstaff. My waitress correctly guided me to the Walu- the most flavorful white fish dish I've ever had. A passionate sommelier helped us find a red that worked for both venison an fish. Coming from someone with NYC standards, the NYC ($$$$) prices delivered."

"the food here is amazing, seasonal, and local. The waitstaff is very attentive and interacts with the guests well without being overbearing. "We didn't stay. It would have been better if we would have seen the menu before. Not only were we not hungry to eat a 4-course meal $95 for each without drinks and gratitude, but I also wasn't willing to spent the kind of money. All menu items were very delicate and exotic. I also would have liked to see at least one good choice of dinner with more simplicity in food preparation for my son. (He has allergies and when there is a lot of different ingredients, eating out is difficult."

"Top notch presentation of a 4 course prix fixe meal. You are given a choice of several options from the starters through the entrees. Every course a work of art. Currently best Margarita in Jackson. Price a bit over 140 per person with drinks and tip. Reasonable for this level of food. If you are into wine, there is also a paired option with meal. Adds another 40-50. I had two drinks about 13 each. Noise level is high. If you want window side seating you will need to ask for it early in the booking. They are fairly discrete and placed a family with young children in the far corner. Thank goodness, one of the tykes was screaming his or her head off for a good part of dinner. Parents should have taken kid out until screaming fit done with."

"We went for dinner and it was wonderful. When we got on the gondola to get to the restaurant we were given a blanket and a hot chocolate to stay warm on the ride up. The food was superb and the staff was welcoming. Definitely worth the price for experience and food."

"We have eaten here several times, and we have never been disappointed. Excellent food, service, and a very special place. You must plan ahead, because of it's limited schedule and days available especially during the ski season, but it's worth every dollar spent."
