da Campo Osteria is located inside the il Lugano Hotel and Residences on the Intracoastal Waterway.
At da Campo Osteria, Executive Chef Steven Acosta takes you to a gastronomic journey to Italy. It’s a creative reinterpretation of the Italian tradition, characterized by the freshest seasonal ingredients, homemade pasta and simplicity!
"This restaurant, in the Il Lugano Hotel, brought out freshly baked breads with three selections of roasted garlic spread, warm pesto and tomato to start on the table. The pastas were freshly made in house and delicious. The ravioli with short rib was especially good, as well as the linguini with lobster.
For dessert, the hot zepoles filled with Nutella was delectable.
While on the more expensive side, foodies will appreciate the gourmet touches at this restaurant."

"We were greeted by Chef Acosta personally upon arrival and escorted to our table. We had a beautiful view of the Intracoastal waterway. The buffet was set up in another room nearby and there were waiters and servers who were able to give detailed explanations about what was being prepared. Everything was delicious and above all, very fresh. I will return for lunch and/or dinner for a more traditional experience. I recommend this restaurant highly."

"I had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago and remembered it was beautiful. Although we found the food to be very salty. So we were going to be in Ft. Lauderdale for Mothers Day and decided to try this restaurant again and take my mom. The service was great. When I ordered I did say could we have less salt. Everything was VERY salty. The prices were out of line for portions. I ordered broccoli rabe, they literally gave us 3 skinny stalks a quarter of a usual order else where. The giant meatball, please was maybe 5-6oz at best. Very expensive, not worth the money."

"Lovely place, wonderful food, amazing dessert. Mozzarella chesse is a must. Tiramisu suffle is also a must. Only thing, come with a big wallet. Without drinks expect 60$ per person bill. Wine list is affordable thought.
Enjoy"

"We enjoyed our meal again at de Campo. The table side mozzarella is a great treat. Service was a bit slow, but the environment is nice...so we didn't mind. The cocktails were very good. Overall, a pleasant meal...just expensive. We'll go back again, but not on a regular basis."

"The best part of our dining experience was the mozzarella cheese pulling class we did before our actual reservation!! Great fun and the mozzarella was the best and freshest we ever had! Three glasses of wine and two huge plates with prosciutto, olive tampanades, dates etc!! Just unbelievable. Didnt even need dinner after the class!! You MUST do this. Went with my father for a date nite. We laughed, drank and met some great people! Thanks Chef and everyone involved. As locals here in Ft. Lauderdale.... We're going to tell everyone!!"

"We ordered 'Belvedere' martinis ~ and after two tries, the drinks are hardly 'drinkable' ~ very, very watered-down. In all of our years drinking martinis, we have never received 'watered-down' vodka, as served here. Obviously, the meal didn't start off very well ~ and it got worse. The steamed mussels were inedible ~ not cooked and we sent it back; of course, the server took it off the bill. Other items came on small plates, however they were tasty and extremely smaller portions than one expects. The seared scallops were very good, however, and our server Lenin was accommodating. We will not return to this restaurant. Nice view & ambience, though."

"This was our third visit in the past year. The food quality took a dramatic turn for the worse. I can only assume a new chef? The signature mozzarella app was prepared as usual at the table but very quickly and without the usual attention. The meat ball literally crumbled apart a soon as I touched it with my fork. The pasta was extr undercooked, very chewy. one shot of grey goose on the rocks $15"

"Received this lead from a family member who had not tried, but heard the restaurant was excellent. And we would return again and again. It was great fun ordering the pulled Mozzarella and having it prepared table side. The bread and dipping sauces were some of the best i have tasted. The homemade pasta was outstanding. It's difficult to locate Italian restaurants that make their own pasta -- and that alone is worth the return trip. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with our waiter. He was not very attentive and our water glasses were nearly empty before he thought to refill them. But we think his service is not indicative of the overall staff, so we giving the restaurant a pass on his service. The manager visited our table."

"Frankly, this was a disappointment. we had read that they had a new chef, who we did meet and was very nice, but the food itslf was mediocre, especially for the price! Also, we remember when Will was making the fresh mozzarella and it was superb. our order was hard and not very good. Waiter is excellent but it doesn't make up for the cuisine."

"This was our second visit to Da Campo in two weeks. We were greeted warmly by the lovely hostess, Jacqueline. She immediately escorted us to a table of our choosing, and started our dinner on a very positive note. The food tonite, was exceptional. We felt like we were FEASTING, because of the noteworthy quality of our food. And, alongside this,--our waiter, Sergio, was attentive, accomodating and fun to deal with. Da Campo is an up-scale restaurant with fine food, beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. I left this restaurant feeling very pampered and priviledged. We will return very soon."

"All three courses I had were top notch. Service was good. Only minor complaint I have was the room was a little noisier than I like, between the music and patrons a bit loud.
Otherwise I enjoyed it very much. I will go back next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale."

"Da Campo was a "Da-vine" culinary experience. We were warmly greeted by their gracious Maitre D', named Tedrick. He immediately escorted us to our "scenic" table, with a superb view of the Intracoastal. Their signature mozzarella dish, prepared at our table, was excellent. The Da Campo salad was exceptional and was "dressed" with a subtly flavored viniagarette. The Diver scallops were wonderful. The mussels were fabulous. By the time we had finished our entrees, we had no room for their very appealing desserts. However, we plan to return very soon, and next time,-- we will have one or two of their tantalizing desserts. I can't wait to taste their exquisite ricotta cheesecake and their chocolate dessert specialty."

"A must try the pulled mozzarella as an appetizer. Meals were delicious, although the veal saltimbocca serving was rather small for a man. The service was excellent, and the breads on the table out of this world. My only negative is that when served a red wine the portions were extremely small. Should have been at least 1/2 glass full for the price. I would highly recommend this restaurant though. Elegant atmosphere but casual dinning. Great presentation and taste."

"We were seatedat a nice table, but sat there for some time before a waiter appeared. He took our appetizer order, but never asked for drinks. Our first appetizer appeared (crispy eggplant) very soon but still no drinks so we asked an asst waitress (?), she took our order but again drinks newver appeared. Finally we asked for the manager, Kedrick, cancelled the drink order and ordered wine. It was quite unusual for a restaurant of this reputaion. The food was very good; Lobster Tagliatelle, Braized short rib ravioli, and Swordfish. The fish was not good at all, believe it or not it was hard to cut? Their famous tiramisu, was good but from a traditional dish it was disappointing. Sunday nights must be staff taining night."

"Our first time there since last year when we were very disappointed. However, all new personnel, great chef and kitchen staff. We sat at the "kitchen counter" and saw how professional the kitchen is. And they had a banquet and room service to tend to as well. The food was very good and we had a great time chatting with the staff and chef. How happy we are that da Campo is back to being great!"

"We were seated right away and waited a long time for our waiter. We complained amongst ourselves that we needed drinks and next thing we know the executive chef took our drink orders. After that service never improved. The restaurant decor was not what we were expecting based on the article that was written, a romantic place!??
There are better restaurants to dine at"

"Not what we expected - the Staff were actually our highlight - very friendly and attentive. Yeah the table mozzarella is unique and interesting - but I've had better mozzarella from Whole Foods! And the pasta - and the meatball - all familiar and nothing unique nor memorable. Good not great. Wine list has enough entry end to not be intimidating but few gems. Good room, good fun - but can eat better elsewhere."

"We are world travelers, and have had many, many waiters/waitresses take care of us. But Roberto is one of the best of them ever. Additionally, the food quality and preparation/presentation and water view was impeccable.

"Great improvement over the last year, after all went downhill when the Todd English connection dissolved. Will definitely return now. Mozzarella table still the best. The tiramisu souffle was surprisingly outstanding (do not forego the dollop of chocolate gelato in the middle!). Wine list ok, overpriced and not very extensive, but some nice selections. Must say i do miss the Ferrari rose champagne by the glass that used to be available."

"We had a 9:15 reservation and were not seated until 9:40. When we said something, we were just blown off by the maitre D. Will never go back. In addition, the waiter that served us should not even be a busboy. Tehre were 4 people at our table and only 3 got water. After about 10 minutes he finally asked us if we wanted bread after he already served the table next to us that was seated after us bread."

"My boyfriend & I went for Valentine's Day, and were excited about the delicious sounding Special Menu. Unfortunately, we got stuck in horrible Miami traffic and I called to let them know we were going to be late. What I didn't realize was how late, needless to say, we missed our reservation time by an 1 1/2 hrs. When we arrived and explained the situation, the hostess quickly reviewed her schedule and fit us in. Our waiter was very friendly, and kindly recommended a wonderful wine for the meal. The accomodating & friendly staff was remarkable, and the food was equally delicious. We would highly recommend this restuarant, and will go back for our next special occasion."

"It seemed the menu items could have been more creative and more of a selection would have been nice. I realize it was Valentine's Day but that doesn't things should have had a generic feel and that's the best way I can sum it up. Generic. The food was good but nothing to write home about. I don't mind paying $$$ for dinner but in return, I would like to be impressed."

"Was extremely disappointed that the mozzarella was not available at all!! You should have told people upfront that the most popular item that everyone talks about would not be available for the evening. We would have not come if the menu was 2 items only. It was a disappointing experience and the dinner was way too fast for a valentines day experience. My wife was not happy to say the least. I think management needs to understand why word has spread about the restaurant and change the formula for a special event. I understand its a very busy night and you want to please guests by not turning them down but you can't sacrifice what has gotten you to be a popular spot. That is sacrificing quality for quantity."
