Steel’s interior design expresses a Zen theme. Steel serves authentic Japanese & Indo-chine (Vietnamese) cuisine, a sushi bar with fresh seafood flown in daily, and a walk-in wine cellar with wine collection of over 1000 boutique vineyards. Steel is located in the heart of Dallas, Oak Lawn / Turtle Creek, just a few minutes from downtown. Hold on to your chopsticks!!
"I haven't been to Steel in a few years but was beyond impressed from my visit Saturday. I had a friend in town and we wanted to grab a late dinner, 10pm. I made a last minute reservation and when we arrived we were greeted very warmly, given a fantastic table, and had an unbelievable server!!! The food was top notch- just as I had remembered. It was still pretty busy for being so late but the flow of the food delivery was just right. The drinks were fantastic and the server gave us some great suggestions. I cannot wait to go back!!"

"Not as crowded or lively as we remembered. Weird soundtrack playing even though it's set to be a trendy, hip-lounge, upscale sushi place. They were playing a steakhouse-standards type of playlist in a different setting for it. Sushi was as great as I remember it though, so great news there."

"Found food good but no memorable. Most lacked any spice so somewhat bland. Shaken Beef is excellent, but chefs selection of sushi and sushimi overpriced and fish on sushi was overcooked."

"The best item on their menu was their Chocolate Volcano Cake. This was the main reason we went there, and we were sadly disappointed to find that they had changed it. Now it's just a plain chocolate cake. Still a good restaurant to go to, just nothing special to compel us to seek it out."

"Take it from two foodies... you'll love this place! From the moment we pulled up to valet parking... to the warm welcome when we entered the restaurant.... to the knowledgeable, informed, and friendly waiter... this place is impressive. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the preparation and presentation were "dressed to impress" and a great value for the price point. We will most definitely return!"

"Every time I dine at Steel I leave impressed. The food is always delicious and super fresh. I love going here with a group for parties, birthday dinners, or date night with my husband. Perfect spot for perfect sushi."

"We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had been there before and remembered that we liked it. It is just excellent. The service was fantastic; we had drinks before we got the table. And the food was to die for. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. I would recommend it to everyone."

"We opted out of the prix fixe menu on Valentine's Day and did sushi rolls. They use way too much shrimp and crab in my opinion, and most of the ones we got came with tons of jalapeños in them in addition to a dipping sauce. It was the first time my husband and I ever ordered sushi and left some on the plate because we didn't care for it."

"Oaklawn hidden gem. It was about 2 years since my last stop at Steel but I was happy to see this place still has its mojo. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth the splurge!"

"This was our second time at Steel and it was just as good the second time as the first. The Scottish Curry Salmon and my wife had the Sea Bass in marinated miso and sake.
Our server, Xuan, made the night very special. Great job!"

"What a great dining experience. Service was fantastic - our waiter took his time answering questions about the menu and giving a wonderful recommendation. The Shaken Beef was mouthwatering as was the Chilean Sea Bass - don't forget the sauce! Am looking forward to my next visit!"
