The Mill has enjoyed a reputation as one of the state’s finest restaurants for 75 years! Situated in a beautiful lakeside setting, The Mill offers Innovative American Cuisine featuring great steaks and the Shore’s freshest seafood.
"As usual, our dinner at the Mill was excellent. The sea bass special was very good as was my wife's favorite, the lobster pot pie. We will be back!"

"It was very nice. We were seated on time and had a nice table by the window as we requested. I liked the menu where starters, entree and dessert were all combined. i am not a heavy eater and usually have to take home half my order. This option was very good and i would recommend it again to friends. Service was well done also.
Thank you."

"Was insanely quiet for our Friday night reservation, but The Mill is always a great experience for dinner. The staff is so friendly and enjoyable, and the food is incredible. A great place for girls night out, romantic dinners, or birthday celebrations, but perfect if you're just in the mood for a great meal in a nice place."

"oysters rockefeller were tasteless. pork chop too salty. side of sweet potato very small. creme broulet barely covered the small plate and was about 1/8 inch thick. portion was embarasingly small for the price. not enough food for the price. bread assortment very good. last time there well over a year ago food was terrific and good portions for the price. server was very good though. entertainment (Carrie jackson) GREAT..."

"The seafood platter was excellent but the steak was just OK, and the potatoes and vegetables that came with the steak were cold and not tasty. We heard so much about the cheesesteak but in the end were disappointed with it. It wasn't fresh and came out dry. The appetizers were excellent. One was the salad that was fresh, crisp and tasty. The other was the pound and a quarter chilled lobster that also was excellent."

"Went for dinner with a friend from NYC...very disappointed to find out that "everything lobster" was NOT available on a Friday night. The lobster bisque was available and good but very salty (and I like salt). The crab cakes were good as was the pork chop my friend had to eat. Wait staff good. We both liked the lake view. I had come here for my nephew's wedding reception about 7 years ago. The food was excellent at that time which is why I thought to come here for dinner."

"My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the variety of foods at the buffet brunch. It was well presented and plentiful. A complimentary cocktail was was very welcome and unlimited coffee too. We would recommend the Sunday brunch and plan on returning in the near future."

"The Mill is one of our favorite places. We enjoyed the Lobster Bisque and Ceasar Salad. My Husband always likes the rack of lamb and I hade the Salmon. We finished with Chocolate Rasberry Cake and Creme Brule. We have shared so many memories here like watching the swans chasing the geese or just ejoiying the sunset. The service is good and and the food is always consistant."

"Although the chef did a masterful job on the TASTE of the food (notably the rack of lamb), the meat was definitely not of the highest quality. The ribs were fatty and tough around the edges --- not at all what good lamb is like! My husband had the lobster bisque to start the meal and, although it was very tasty, there was an unpleasant grittiness about it. Except for morsels of lobster, a bisque should be very smooth. The salads (a Caesar and a Waldorf) were beautifully presented and very good, but for a high end establishment, we were a little disappointed in the overall experience. (The ambiance was the best part of the dinner!)"

"We've visited this venue many times. The view from the picture windows overlooking the pond is enjoyable in the daylight hours. I find the booth benches uncomfortable though. Try to get a seat at a table next to the windows during the daytime.
The food is very good. It is fresh and well presented. Also the prices are moderate. The wait staff is very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"I'm getting married at The Mill this October, so I thought it would be nice to take my fiance here for Valentines Day.
We were both very impressed. The food was great, the tables are generously spaced out, so the noise level is very reasonable, and our waitress was excellent. I also enjoyed the slow, relaxing pace of the evening. Never felt rushed. We arrived at 7, and finished dessert around 9:45. If you're in a hurry, this probably isn't the place for you.
It is fancy (i.e. pricey), but about what I expected it to be (dinner for 2, with appetizer, dessert, and a bottle of wine came to about $150, before tip).
All in all, we loved the experience & can't wait to go back again."

"We had not been to The Mill in awhile but decided to go recently. For some reason, it falls off our radar but I was very happy that we tried it again. The setting is really nice and comforatable, the service was great, and there is something going on in the kitchen. An interesting menu with enough going on to interest a foodie and obviously a chef who is interested in putting out good food with a more modern twist - down on the shore. For those who have not been in awhile, GO and for those who have not ever been, this should be on your list of places to visit. It is a varied and well balanced menu - the oysters on the half shell and calamari were delicious as was the bronzino with salsify and the tasty and juicy pork chop. GO!!"

"We chose The Mill to see some Jazz so we were served in the Lounge. Perhaps different in the main Dining room. It would be helpful if there was a more private place for gathering parties as a large group was waiting for a celebration and the noise was quite loud in the lounge. Food and service were fine. Certainly would return again."

"We first sat at the Bar and they wanted to keep our credit card behind the bar, which is a no no for my husband. Why would they have to do that, do they have such horrible people that come there that would do that??????The Bartender was not very nice to us and obviously did not like her job and had a very nasty look on her face the whole time. She was not very nice to us when we wanted our credit card back. The service was terrible, we waited over 40mmins to get our dinner and the waiter kept making mistakes with our order. I am sorry but we will not go back."

"My husband and I have dined at The Mill several times. We were there on Saturday Jan 19th. Our server was excellent. The food was very good. However, this was the first time we were disappointed with our visit. We were shown to a table for four right near two large, loud parties. We asked to be seated elsewhere and were accomadated. There were many empty tables at 5:00PM, not sure why they still put us near the large parties. We asked for a table for two and at times still couldn't hear each other across the table. One of the the things we like most is the ambiance at The Mill. This was our choice of restaurants since we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. We ate and left quickly because those parties were just so loud...not fun."
