"Had to make a last minute Mother's Day reservation at this place; host was friendly, server was friendly but lacked on checking in on our table and refilling our drinks. Cooks at the omelet station had a bit of an attitude...perhaps because they were working on a holiday weekend. On the other hand, the cooks at the meat carving station were so friendly and courteous."

"We drive by Rickeys off of Hwy 101 often. We never really considered stopping. And then we went to a wedding reception at Rickeys last week. We were really surprised when we saw the lovely green lawn area, decorated beautifully for the reception. Great appetizers ( coconut shrimp! yum!) and a delicious dinner served by great staff. Dancing afterward...a lovely setting. The next week we had a family gathering in the bay area with about half the group heading north afterward, so we picked Rickey's for that meal - everyone was happy with the food. In the future I will be using Rickey's as a "halfway point" to meet with family, including grandkids since if you eat at the restaurant the pool is available for swimming."

"We hadnt been to Rickey's for many years after a unimpressive meal long ago. Thought we would give it a try and truly enjoyed our meal. The food was good and well prepared and the wait staff were attentive at all times. A good all around experience and a definite several steps up from their past incarnation."

"Who'd expect a motel restaurant within spitting distance of the freeway would be an oasis of calm, with friendly, professional service and imaginative, well-prepared, moderately priced food?
Yet that's been our experience of Rickey's, over and over again. It's not fancy, but it's definitely on the nicer end of the scale, and has everything we like - even a full bar."

"I especially liked the menu that catered to a smaller meal. That was such a great idea, and if other restaurants would follow suit, that would be wonderful.
The only criticism I have was the noise level. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other and we were so close to the table next to us, that we all ended up shouting over one another. It was exhausting. I think when the weather permits, we would prefer to dine outdoors.
However, the staff was very cordial and the food was excellent. Overall, a fun evening."

"Our second trip to Ricky's. discovered via a groupon deal and decided to check it out. Had been driving past for years!
Love the Saturday night jazz. Hostess accommodates out table request via open table and called to confirm selection. Waiter Nelson is friendly and knowledgable bar tender Gal was also friendly and made great suggestions. Portions were great not overkill so you could feel good ordering apps and desserts. Yummy food. Highly recommend :)"

"This restaurant has the potential to be great. The decor is sophisticated and food is priced right (if they tasted good). However, the quality of food is way way below par.
They just taste like they were cooked to be "cooked" and no skills were involved whatsoever. the caesar salad was drenched with dressing on chopped lettece that tasted like the ones from a bag in a grocery store and the calamari rings were tiiny tiny.
The pasta dish was just OK and my duck breast has no seasoning and was cooked overly well done when I ask for medium."

"Was a little disappointed the prime rib wasn't available on Friday night as I expected, but the ribeye steak I had was smoked and cooked to perfection. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. What really made the restaurant was the live band they had playing."

"Pleasant enough atmosphere for an Easter brunch. Food was average (although the salmon was fantastic). Plenty of staff, yet beverages weren't refilled often, plates weren't removed (we ended up stacking them) and the 20% built in gratuity for a party of six (which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website that I could find) was a bit steep considering the service.
The thing that stood out was the guy wearing the Easter Bunny costume. Creepy, just plain creepy. His body language said it all, he didn't want to be wearing it and with that plastic mask---well, we were expecting a chainsaw to pop out at any moment. The funny thing was that everyone at our table was talking about him. Glad none of the children seemed to be weirded out."

"I wanted.to surprise my girlfriend with a place she would not have thought of. Success! Rickey has a lovely mid week special dinner that is very affordable. We had so much fun together and the food was perfectly cooked and served with great care. The dessert plate decorated with chocolate spelling out Happy Birthday was the icing on the cake so to speak. It was a progressive dinner and we got to talking and almost missed out next surprise. It is such a pleasure to be able to have local place that gets it right everytime we visit. Congratulations to the people and staff. Another home run for me."

"It's great to sit out by the pool for drinks on a lovely afternoon, then we sent inside for dinner. Staff were super -- friendly, courteous and they came around to check on things often but not enough to be intrusive. Portions are generous, and prices are very good. Everyone loved their meals."

"I can't remember a time that I went out and from the welcome at check in to the final bite of dessert and last sip of wine, things were this good. It was a birthday celebration and I was trying to think of a new place to try. Rickey's hit a home run. The 3 course meal served Tuesday-Thursday from 5-9 is a treat. I loved I didn't have to rush there and place my order before 6pm like so many of the other restaurants I have tried. This place is relaxing and delightful in every respect. I can't wait to go back and enjoy another evening with them. John Marshall came around and introduced himself and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. I appreciated his thoughtfulness.Best cornbread I have ever tasted."
