"Very decent meal. I had the ribs which had a unique taste and fell off the bone. My husband had the prime rib which was a bit saucy, I would ask for the sauce on the side next time. The kids menu was thorough and very reasonably priced. We will definitely come back."

"The meat was tough, the drinks had very little alcohol, waiter was rude when asking for I.D.'s for alcohol. Commenting on how I look like a child and that I must be to young to drink rather than a simple "may I see your I.D.?" Overpriced for sizes of portions. Would most likely not return."

"Nice room and ambiance for a Saturday night dinner. Came from the East Bay to have dinner and see a friend sing jazz. Friendly host greeted and seated us. Ordered a $20.00 bottle of Cabernet which was fine, but took a while to get. Spotty service through the night. Food was mediocre at best. Terrible calamari appetizer: small portion, tough, chewy. Boring spinach salad. Asked our wait person about the restaurant specialties and settled on the prime rib. Big mistake. Asked for medium. It looked and tasted like they cut a rare piece, then boiled it to LOOK medium-well, and served on a bed of mashed potatoes that tasted suspiciously like instant. Got the check, then waited a long time for the change. Rickey's is NOT a dinner destination."

"The good news and bad news is there was live music. There were 5 of us and we had to scream at each other over the entertainment. Actually we screamed in groups of 2 plus 3 because there was no way all 5 of us could hear each other. When the band took a break they replaced them with recorded music so we were still screaming. The food was disappointing for all of us. The menu looked great and we liked the idea of the small plates for small appetites. But the meatballs were crusty and overdone. The Caesar salad was marginal. The fish was just ok. The atmosphere was really great, giving us high hopes, and the service was terrific. But the food was a very weak link."

"This was an excellent restaurant! We had been driving past this place for a long time and I decided to make reservations for my valentine and I to eat there on Saturday night. It was absolutely perfect!! The food was great and the ambiance was just right. We were able to talk to each other and listen to great music from a live band without yelling across the table!! I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends!!! Great experience!!"

"We invited another couple to have dinner with us because we wanted them to hear the band, Swing Set, that plays there once a month.

The band played wonderful danceable music, but space was never cleared for dancing, probably because the tables were all occupied throughout the evening and couldn't be moved.

The food was excellent and we had a great time, however the noise level was tough to talk over. This was especially problematic for one of our guests who wears hearing aids.

I highly recommend the smaller entree of lamb chops. They were prepared to perfection and delicious! We also LOVE their cornbread!"

"The food was delicious although our waitress was of no help at all when we asked about a wine choice. I do think that the "for small appetites" plate was overpriced for the amount of food we got. A token green vegetable on the plate would have been nice."

"The food is excellent. The waiters were friendly but didn't come back often enough to ask us if we wanted more drinks. It was too hard to flag them down because the jazz music is so loud on Friday and Saturday nights. They should turn down the volume a bit. If they made these two improvements -- the overall score would be a 4 out of 5."

"Very poor and slow service on New Years eve.
Waitress kept apologizing for the slow and service and fact that they forgot to serve our salads which she discovered when she brought our entree. The entree was served 1 hr after our appitizer was put on the table. Staff appeard unable to handle the New Years eve crowd. Heard other tables complaning aBOUT THE LONG WAIT BETWEEN COURCES."

"Awkwardly located at the end of a series of dead end roads next to the highway. This restaurant is part of a motel and has too much of a motel-like feel even in the restaurant. Our waitress filled the role of sales agent pitching the hotel rooms to us while we tried to eat. Overall, the place is just okay, not worth visiting again."
