"We love to dine and especially a steak restaurant. Red was recommended by Lowes. For the prices we were disappointed! Chopped salad was soggy and the Arugula salad was way to much! Almost obsene. The steak was ok. Nothing to write home about. The only thing that was good was the mushrooms and mashed potatoes. We were rushed as we were barely done with our salads and the entree was delivered. The server toward the end of the dinner started to have an attitude. I don't think we would return"

"Way too over priced for what you get. We ordered the special appetizer of a scallop on a bed of corn. It was a measly small scallop and it cost $30! Also the waitress came out with an additional appetizer of sausage stuffed peppers which she said the chef wanted us to have. They were very good except she charged us for it even though we never ordered it! I would never go there again. I dont mind paying extra for a nice meal and a nice place but I would have much spent the money on a place that didn't make you feel screwed when you left."

"I was excited about the location and the food was alright but I have seen a lot of restaurants in the US and that was definitively the most expensive one, especially the drinks: how can it be that you pay 20 US$ for an ordinary glass of red wine or 39 US$ for a simple cocktail?? That is far beyond the limit of a decent value for money equilibrium. In Europe, you get a gourmet 15-point-Gault Millau 5 course meal for the same price and "Red" is definitively not a gourmet restaurant, but prices are above that!! That was disappointing even if the service personnel did an outstanding job."

"Very expensive - Everything including sides and sauces to accompany a main course are a la carte. Wines are way over priced. A bottle of wine selling at retail for less than $18 is going for $19 a glass! A slice of salmon (wild no less) is $49. This is a "must" for people who want to be part of the South Beach scene, but hopefully, they are on an expense account."

"For more than 20 years, following Tax Season, we have a special office dinner. We try to pick a restaurant that most of the attendees wouldn't normally visit. This year we went to Red, the Steakhouse. None of us had eaten there before. There was a unanimous consensus that, of all the Tax Season Dinner restaurants we visited, Red stands out as #1. The food was outstanding, cooked exactly as ordered by each in our party; service was excellent, attentive, but not pushy. We were treated like regular guests."

"Been here a few times and have nothing but great things to say. Excellent on all fronts! Each server I had was well spoken, quick, and very responsive on our needs. The food was absolutely incredible. Every item on the menu is fresh and made from scratch. Amazing ambiance. And great place for a stellar meal."

"We were so impresssed with the food and the service, we cancelled another reservation and went back a second time. It was a very pleasurable experience on multiple levels. I would highly recommend the resaurant for anyone who knows good food that is well prepared. do not miss the steak, which are as good as some of the very fine NY steak resaurants, and better than most. They have a reasonable corkage fee, which they waived each night."

"Excellent service; well designed sleek dining room; sadly the food doesn't match it. Salads were good. Both the filet mignon and rib eye were mediocre. While the seasoning on the rib eye was great the meat was tough. Two in our party had pasta dishes; they are enormous but no better than good. Desserts are good but coffee was barely warm. This is not a $49.00 steak restaurant. I really hoped it would be better."

"One of my top 3 favorite restaurants. The service is always top notch, but not over the top pushy. The food is always consistent and very good. The wine recommendations are ALWAYS spot on! Looking forward to my next visit!"

"Talk about steakhouses all you want, this is truly the best place for steaks. The filet is everything you would expect from a 5 star restaurant and yet it still surprises you. The sides are oversized and delicious, making tomorrow's lunch a special treat. If you like your steaks cooked past medium, order fish... you would be ruining the best meat Miami has to offer."

"An ok meal with spectacular prices....and by spectacular I mean out of control. Two apps, a shared steak, one side, one dessert and a $105 bottle of wine (that retails for $38), valet parking and tip....$475. Service was meh, our waiter couldn't tell us the blends so just brought the bottles to the table for us to sift through. Recent transplants from DC, will Continue our search for a nice steak place here in Miami...."

"As always the food in Red was excellent. However the last 2 times I have been in there, the table service has been lacking in time and attention. I know they are busy and have gained popularity, but to keep loyal 4 or 5 time a year customers at their prices, the service needs to be better and consisitent."

"45 minutes for bread, $75 lobster tail was cold by the time the waiter decided to bring my butter for it 15mins later after asking twice. Used to be one of our favorite restaurants, i guess we'll go back to prime 112 like we used to"

"Have eaten at many of the most notable steakhouses in US, but my filet here was truly one of the best I've ever had. Wonderful. My husband had the ribeye, which he declared simply ok. Food was good and service was good. We would return."

"Been there before but only for drinks. Heard good things about the food and wanted to see for myself. Got sat in bar area booth (no problem since I'm a bartender..I enjoy the action!). Got dinner menus but no wine list..server was prompt but kinda abrupt. She talked really fast (not a problem, but not loud enough to really hear what she was saying), and kept leaving as we were trying to ask her questions (she had to make extra trips to bar b/c she wouldn't let us finish our order). Until we got our apps, we were her only table (that we could see), so we were a little baffled. Ribeye, Filet, Lamb Chops, shrooms, clams casino, and green beans were awesome! Asparagus a little bland but ok. Great wines by the glass! Leftovers were killer!"

"Not worth it ! Nice decor, trendy restaurant but will not be going back any time soon. The service was poor, our waiter did not even mention the night's specials . He only recommended one appetiser of herloom tomatoes and mozarella cheese and the tomatoes were awfull, way too ripe ! They were $24 !!! Our steaks were were so big they could of fed a family of 4 (would of been nice to know, could of shared one with my husband)and they were very tought and dry even if they were not over cooked. Your steak come with no side dish, all of those are by la carte, and again way too big for one person !Sauces are also a la carte for $10 and are soo small... Very nice wine list but none of the ones we liked were available! Do not recommend Red."

"Ordered two biottles of wine. Neither wine brought to the table was the vintage listed on the wine list. While the filet was very good the strip was like shoe leather. Though in all honesty nit quite as tough as the unpleasant waiter."

"Good Menu little expensive Good service Wide range of wines but very expensive (even a glass was expensive) Recommended service of 20% far to high (12 to 15% is sufficient) (Why are we the customer exspected to pay the waiters salary ?)"

"Probably the best strip steak and filet mignon I have EVER tasted. Ever. The rest of the food was amazing as well. Mussels appetizer, shrimp cocktail, and caprese salad were awesome. Sauteed mushrooms, sauteed spinach, key lime pie dessert. All fantastic! The service was somewhat spotty; things just took our waiter a little longer than I would expect, but we wanted a leisurely meal so it wasn't terrible. The waiter disappeared for a LONG time, probably 25 minutes when we were full, ready to leave, having been there for about 2.5 hours, and he was totally AWOL. Finally he showed up and acted like nothing was wrong, we paid and left. But that was really the only hiccup in the meal. Again, the food was AMAZING."

"We had a grilled shrimp in white wine appetizer which tasted great. The steak was good. There were very little options on the menu for someone who doesn't want to eat vegetables or side dishes drenched in sugar and fat...
The price of wine by the glass is high and nothing extraordinary.
I think there are better steak houses in Miami. Red was just average."
