"Very crowded, but food was plentiful. What I ate was OK, not exceptional, typical brunch items. Wait staff was very attentive and courteous. One objection - I did not partake of the carving station, although I would have liked some lamb, because the 3 meats were on the same carving board, not separate boards, and only one knife was present. It seems to me that some people do not eat pork, and also, for health reasons, how difficult is it to give each meat a separate cutting board AND a separate knife. I would have expected it in a classy restaurant like Tuscany. I've found this a problem in other establishments as well."

"Reservation was honored. We had dined here a couple weeks prior and had had a bad experience. The restuarant had encouraged us to come back and promised that we would have a better experience. Again, we were disappointed with average food at a high price. We have marked this restuarant off places that we will be revisiting."

"Tuscany in Wheeling is a great neighborhood gem, especially on Wednesday before 6:00 p.m., when everything (other than liquor) is half price. The food is good, as well as the service. I don't know if I would go there and pay full price, even though there may be a difference after 6:00 p.m. (portion)."

"The moment our food arrived, which was served to us by a kitchen staff, not by our waiter, the waiter never stopped by our table again. Our drinks were not refilled, and we had to flag down a manager to get the check. Our waiter was running around the restaurant, but somehow decided he no longer needed to attend to our table. Very disappointing for a restaurant with this kind of price."

"This wonderful restaurant is aptly named. I travel to the Tuscany area of Italy several times a year and the people I do business with there are true foodies. They have taken me to some amazing places for dinner. Tuscany Wheeling could easily compete over there. The waitress suggested a dish that was not on the menu - a pounded bone-in veal chop sauteed in a white wine sauce and layered with prosciutto and Fontina cheese. We rolled the dice and oh my Lord, it was incredible. So much so that I took another group there 2 nights later. It was just as good the second time. They also have a wonderful bar with a great top-end bourbon selection, which is not all that common this far North. Desert selection is also fantastic. Tusany is a home run."

"The food was fair, not great. We had a rather irritating waiter that was very pushy. My wife asked for a wine suggestion and he told her to order a wine that was $13 per glass. He was very insistent that she try it. It was obviously way over-priced. Big turn off.

"Easter Sunday brunch was not the time to have a meal here. Service was fair, not up to par with the 20% automatic tip charge added to our bill. We had to flag down the server several times just to have our drinks served, and although the food that was available was good, selection was rather limited. Expected more items and food was somewhat cold at the stations in the serving area. I can not recommend the brunch, but have always been pleased with regular dining experience. Wonder if they should not tackle a brunch or train staff and kitchen on how to handle a crowd."

"I have eaten at Tuscany's many times for lunch but mostly dinner. I have always thought the food was presented well and tasted very good. When looking for a place to go for Brunch on Easter Sunday I was surprised to see Tuscany's on the list of Brunches. The caption said 6 different stations: seafood, breakfast, carving, Italian,and desserts I wondered how would this be possible and still have room for diners. When I walked in I was very empressed everything looked very inviting and of course the presentations were wonderful. Our server was very friendly and up beat, she explained what was available and the best way to maneuver the stations. We never felt rushed although from our table Icould see the line to come in. I give 5 stars"

"Food was very good. We have been to the other Tuscany retaurants. The atmosphere at those in the city are much more comfortable and have the feel of a small, local restaurant. This location feels like a sterile, corporate lunch-type place. It probably has to do with its location and target customer being close to the Exec. Airport. Not bad, just not as good as the others."

"Last time I slammed them because they would not honor my gift card. I did pre-call Corp to make susre that it had the $100.00 on it this time. They were very professional. The dinner was great to celebrate our friends B-day and Anniversay - they had a tiny dessert with they comp'd. The food was very good and so was the service. It was especially nice because Spring Break was starting on the North Shore and the placve was quiet!"

"Tuscany has declined dramatically in service since our last visit. We waited twenty minutes before the Wait Staff approached our table to take our order. After an additional thirty minutes we were finally able to find our Wait Staff; who was shocked that the appetizer had not been delivered. The appetizers were finally delivered, but one of the appetizers was the not what we had ordered. The Wait Staff response was “that is the artichoke dip; that is how the chef makes artichokes”. The dip turned out to be the cold hummus appetizer. Other errors occurred, such as our meat was cooked to well done when medium rare was ordered. I cannot say if these errors were due to the Wait Staff, or by the Chef, who was blamed by the Wait Staff."

"We had a pleasant experience returning to Tuscany after a relatively long period away. The menu has been changed a bit, all for the better. I enjoyed the Pollo Porcini. Two of our group ordered the salmon and enjoyed it. The fourth in our group ordered Veal Parmesan, which is not on the menu, and had enough food to take home for about a week. We also had great service. The noise level at the restaurant is still an issue, but we enjoyed our meal."

"This restaurant is beautiful. This is the second time we were there. Our waitress didn't seem interested in our questions and seemed rushed. When I asked for a water refill I didn't get a refill for 10 minutes. My entree was chicken with porccini mushrooms and not very good. The bread was delicious. Other diners seemed happy so maybe it was a bad night."

"We had to wait 40 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation. The management did nothing to alleviate the experience. It was crowded and unpleasant in the bar area. Once we were shown to our seat, our waitress was not helpful or friendly. I had ordered my filet medium rare and it was overcooked. I sent it back and the manager brought it back out to show me that according to him it was cooked correctly in part of the filet. It was not. Medium rare does not mean mostly grey. Our waitress was inattentive through out the meal. I was very disappointed."

"The food was outstanding. the meal begins with a baked head of garlic that is squeezed table side and mixed into a delicious dip for bread. The Tuscon salad was cold and crisp with may great ingredients..I had shrimp on linguine, Both the pasta and the large shrimp were cooked perfectly .The only problem was their inability to honor their reservations. We had a 7:30 reservation, When we arrived at 7:25 we were told there would be a twenty wait. At 7:50 we were told there would be another twenty minute delay. This was problematic as I recently had foot surgery, I am in a surgical boot and am not supposed to put weight on my foot. I pointed this out to the hostess to no avail. My party then sat at an empty table without being seated"

"Excellent restaurant with great food. My only beef is that I was seated at a table right by the desk when a lot of much better tables were open. I'm not sure why I would get such an awful table especially when I made a reservation through opentable.com. Otherwise the food was great and service aside from the seating issue was excellent. My girlfriend and I would go back again for sure."

"Went there for a special Valentine's Day. Short wait at the bar and for a busy night the barstaff did a great job. Comfortable table. The ambiance...trying a bit too hard to not be what it is (a suburban restaurant). The service started out great but waned near the end. Still, to be expected on a night like that. Didn't mind. Gave me more time with my sweetie.
The food delivered. The dover soul special is a special treat and was happy to order it for my sweetie. Her eyes lit up with the first taste. All in all, a very good night. I'd go back again."

"Food is always excellent. If you are looking for a quiet evening this isn't the place. We could barely hear ourselves talk. Our waitress was just okay - she avoided direct eye contact and seemed to always be looking at her other tables when waiting on ours. But, our meal was delicious - mussels, linguini with clams, and salmon were all wonderful."
