"Menu customized with Happy 35th Birthday for my husband, seated early, great service, excellent food. Only downside was I'm not a seafood lover like my husband so the oyster bar by our table was a little too smelly for me. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, even bringing out a special complimentary dessert for my husbands birthday."

"Food was impeccable. Delicious Alaskan Rockfish "Dynamite". The Grilled Center-Cut Filet & Shrimp was tender and flavorful. Recommend the Oysters as well. There are so many appealing dishes, you can't go wrong! Will be back!"

"We had the best time. Great greeting when we entered, great lighting, really great food,Great waitperson . It has been ten years since we were there, only because we do not go to dallas very often. We receive your email and it keeps oceanaire in our thoughts. WE live in temple, tx and georgetown, colorado. WE have not been to the denver oceanaire but we are returning to colorado the first week in june for the summer. Going to the CO oceanaire is definitely on the list of things to do. (probably more than once...it could become a habit) The food was great. My husband loves the crab cakes and told several people at the Byron Nelson Classic of our dining experience the night before. Bravo, guys!"

"I really like Oceanaire ordinarily, however, they were unprepared for the Mother's Day crowd. It took way too long to get our food, which isn't good with squirmy, hungry children. Also, both mom's at the table ended up with crummy meals. In fairness, everyone else's food was good. Too bad. Normally we love Oceanaire. They were slammed and undereqipped for it."

"This is our go-to-place for ALL special occasions. The restaurant itself was the same. Wonderfully calm and the managers and hostess seated us right away. Unfortunately the server for our table was on a break, so we were served by John from another section. John was busy. Very busy. We didn't see him very often and we we did, he didn't t bring us what we needed/asked for. Out of the 4 meals ordered, 3 of us couldn't/didn't eat our meal.
It's one of theses time you just go through mcD's on the way home. Just not the food they have ALWAYS DONE. When you go knowing your gonna spend $250.00 - $300.00 for 4 meals, you just feel let down when the food/service falls really far short of normal."

"This was our second visit to the Oceanaire. Our first visit was wonderful and the food was excellent. Our second visit was horrible. First of all our Entree took almost an hour to get to our table. When they finally came, the food was over cooked and dry. I'm not sure what happened with the cook staff in between our visits but not sure if we will give them a third try"

"We go to Oceanaire a few times per year, then always ask why we waited too long. The crab cakes are the best (Eddie V, you are number 2). Halibut this time, with the hash browns. Yummy. Yes, the menu is more Landry's than it used to be, and we miss the old music/ambiance, but the signature food items are still great.

"Just relocating to the city from MN I have to say that our server was one of the best servers we have dinned with and made our dinning experience one to remember. His recommendations were spot on and the food was to die for! My client was also as delighted. Hats off to the Chief!!! "I brought someone here for a birthday celebration and it was his first time. He was blown away by the ambiance of The Oceanaire, the food, but most of all the staff. .We love going places where the staff truly take pride in where they work, they are kind, and easy to chat with. I truly loved the people that we met while dining as well as the exquisite seafood which is hard to come by at other restaurants. This was my 2nd time dining at The Oceanaire and I can honestly say I have many more visits to come. Thanks Oceanire!"

"First time there and my husband suggested we go for our 12 year anniversary. Good Choice I must say it was very nice - they printed out our own special menu that acknowledged our Anniversary which was too cute and the food was OMG...just outstanding - and the wine was oooh sooo good - everything was perfect!!!! - I had a wonderful time with good friends and good food and our waitress Miriam was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!

"Very nice restaurant. Food took a while to come but they brought us free cups of gumbo and clam chowder to tide us over. Prices are really high but the food is delicious. "Great selection of fresh oysters to start. Entrees of stuffed sole and filet mignon with shrimp were wonderful. Attentive service without hovering. Nice level of energy about the place without being loud. Good selection of after-dinner port, cognac and whiskeys. Will definitely return!"

"Service was great. My fish was not so good. I had trout and when I asked the watier if it was the ruby red trout similar to salmon he said yes. What I ended up with was a white mild fish that was very bland."

"Oceanaire has some of the finest seafood in Dallas. Oysters were amazing - a sampling of various east coast selections. Incredibly fresh, delicious. Entrees were almost perfect. My wife's redfish done Oscar style was rich and perfectly prepared. I had a whole Pompano that was done as well as fresh fish can be done. Only quibbles were service and placement. The restaurant is pretty and there were ample tables. They seated us in a noisy, busy place. I asked to be moved and they put us off in an a corner almost alone. There were plenty of nice tables that were empty. The waiter was knowledgeable but too overly familiar and chatty for a nice restaurant. Overall a great meal, but the seating and service detracted a bit."

"Thank you, Oceanaire, for providing a wonderful 75th Birthday celebration for Al. A lovely table for 10 on the balcony was perfect. What a fun to surprise to note that the take home menu contained a personalized birthday greeting. Service was superb and timely. Each of the salads and entrées drew good comments. Then after the dinner staff presented us with a lovely flaming desert to share for the table. Wonderful!"

"Hooray its the beginning of Halibut season and the Oceanaire always has the freshest available. It was not inexpensive but it was wonderful and well worth the price after no fresh halibut for months. Oceanaire remains my favorite restaurant with the best seafood, outstanding service, perfect cocktails and a splendid wine list."

"The best crab cakes I have had since I moved to Texas. I nenjoyed my meal tremendously and our server was so helpful in allowing us to see if the crabcakes did indeed resemble authentic blue crab maryland crab cakes. My wife and I have been sverely disappointed in the past but wrer not this night!"
