Francesca's Passaggio
Francesca’s Passaggio is the 14th addition to the “Francesca’s Restaurants” family. This location is the second Francesca’s Restaurant to enter the Naperville community, joining its sister store, La Sorella di Francesca, which resides in downtown Naperville. Francesca’s Passaggio features the traditional Francesca’s concept of zesty, earthy cuisine from Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. Francesca’s Passaggio encourages the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices. Francesca's Passaggio features an outside patio with a Firepit Table and Bar. Live music on the weekends outside during the summer months.

"I never do reviews, but this is a great place, and deserves positive feedback. We go here for special occasions, and just recently went for dinner. Outstanding, as usual. If you're looking for a great restaurant wit decent prices and great service, this is the place. Oh, and the food is the best around!"

"We had a group of 8 for Mother's Day. We were seated on time at a round table at the entrance of the dining room. The noise level was crazy loud, but that was probably because of the crowd on Mother's Day.
We asked the waiter to split 2 Caesar Salads for four people. We ended up with (and were charged for) 3 full Caesar Salads and one 1/2 salad. One entree was served about 10 minutes before the rest of the entrees. Because it had a cold salad on top of grilled salmon, I didn't want it sitting under a warming light, so I just waited until everyone else was served. Besides the mix up in the service, the food just wasn't as good as other Francesca restaurants. We love the one in Barrington."

"We have been to several other Francesca restaurants and was a little disappointed with this one. We dined there for lunch and although it was Mother's Day, I would not say it was overly crowed. The service left a lot to be desired. We waited several minutes before anyone came to take a drink order, and even longer before our waiter came to take our order. The food was very good, but the wait we had to get our bill/pay it was much longer than it should have been."

"Very comfortable restaurant with that great Francesca's menu. We far prefer it to the downtown Naperville location because it is so much more conducive to a leisurely meal with good conversation, i.e., no bench seating next to another couple and a much lower noise level. All of the pluses of Francesca's without any of the minuses (at least to us)."

"I recently dined on a weeknight with clients and we had a great time. The service was outstanding. Our server, Joann, was very personable without hovering. Water was always refilled and plates removed promptly. The food was delicious, but I'm used to serving sizes being larger at Italian restaurants. The desserts could have been larger, too, but they were very good. There were several families with children dining at the same time and the kids seemed to like their food. Noise level was minimal so it was easy to have a conversation. I would recommend this restaurant."

"Three of us met for drinks & appetizers on Good Friday. Because of the Holiday, it was not busy at all so we were quickly seated and our server waited on us promptly and was both professional & informative. The wine list had lots to offer for reasonable prices and my cousin & I split a main course, and it was brought out in separate plates with generous portions for each of us. It was a cavatelli dish and it was magnificent. My husband really enjoyed his calamari appetizer. I would recommend this spot for a nice evening dinner or appetizer, and for special occasions - overall nice atmosphere and attentive staff. I have been there many other times, and even when it's busy, the staff is there when you need them."

"It was half-off bottle of wine Wednesday! What a nice surprise to make the evening even better. Our server, Sheila was attentive and fun. The food was excellent as usual. Visiting during the week when its not so busy is really a great way to experience the restaurant."

"Absolutely a great place. I love all of the Francesca's restaurants. This time was the first time going for lunch and the Davanti burger was the best I have ever had! My friend had the rigatoni piselli and it was also great. We always order the bruschette tre colore, it is probably our favorite thing on the menu."

"We used to enjoy going to Francesca's for a nice dinner or special occasion, even though there is little ambiance at the Route 59 strip mall location. However, over the last year or two the quality of the food has declined noticeably while the prices have risen unreasonably. So altogether, Francesca's Passaggio is not a restaurant that we care to go to anymore."

"Went for my daughter's eighteenth birthday, her pick. Everything was great, got in for early Sunday Dinner and service was good. Ordered Calamari and Lobster Rissotto for appetizers. Risotto was creamy and tasty, calamari were OK (slightly overcooked).
Ravioli in cream sauce was excellent, as were rigatoni in creamy parmesian sauce with sausage and peas. Chicken breast with lingiune and proscuitto was also very good. Certainly will be back for more family occasions!"

"We went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day - and have been here many times before on other dining occasions. I have to say I was very disappointed! I knew it was going to be busy because of the holiday (Valentines) but they took way too many reservations and the place was too crowded for my liking. We were stuck at a table for 4 in the corner that really could only seat 2 because it was pretty tight. The service was very poor that night, the waiters were too overloaded with work. We had to wait awhile before even being asked if we wanted anything to drink. Took a long time to get our glass of wine. The server brought me the wrong dish. I ordered gnocchi and received some other rigatoni pasta dish instead. Food was just ok."

"When we got there, they didn't have our reservation...that I had made thru Open Table. They did accomodate us at a "small, crammed in table".
We did not get the food we ordered. We did mention it to our waiter and he apologized. It then took 10 min. to get the additional food. I love it, but will have a hard time getting my husband to go back.
Disappointed."

"Aside from the wait for our table, the evening went very well. The restaurant had added extra tables for Valentine's Day and, as a result, the tables were quite close together. The restaurant had a very large number of reservations with only about 15 minutes between which made it a certainty that they would be running behind on seating people. Nonetheless, the food was delivered quickly, hot, and delicious! Service was pleasant and solicitous without being hovering. Overall, I uld highly recommend this restaurant."
