"1515 is one of my favorites in Lodo, and try to get there whenever in Denver. We had the 8-course chef's selection with wine pairings, an excellent choice. The Wagyo beef and the seared scallops are must haves. I've not been disappointed any of the many times I've dined at 1515. The wine selection is impressive, and allowing the sommelier choose is a good way to go. The entrance off Market street is not impressive, but the dining room upstairs is elegant."

"I made reservations at 1515 for Mothers Day, and both my mom and I loved it. I had the salmon and she had the BLT crepe. The food was very well cooked and elegant for not an outrageous price. For dessert we got the vanilla tasting plate and the espresso + donuts. The desserts were divine. Not too much or overly sweet. Overall the food was great and so was the service. We would recommend it and will surely be visiting again soon!"

"Mother's day brunch. The appetizers were excellent. I had the mushroom dish. The eggs benedict was good, but the eggs themselves were runny. My mother had the omlette. She didn't like it at all and, when I tasted it, it was extremely bland."

"Went for a business/social dinner. The evening could not have been more ideal. Bartender, Brandon, made a great bloody and was friendly without being overbearing. Server, Stephanie, made excellent recommendations and gave perfect service and the hostess wen the extra mile for us and hailed a cab. Highly recommend scallops, waygu, elk. The flavors were totally unique and satisfying. Thank you."

"We have been to 1515 before and enjoyed it. In the past, we did the chef's choice dinner, paired with wine -- which was absolutely fantastic. This time we did not (they require the entire table to participate if you're going to do this -- which kinda makes sense), and I must say -- although everything was good -- it didn't impress me as much as our previous trip there. Our server was friendly and didn't rush us. The wine list was robust. My husband started with the bisque -- which was outstanding. I started with the mussels, which were quite good. My husband then had the surf & turf; the lobster was slightly overcooked; the filet was nicely done. I had the short ribs, which fell off the bone."

"Went for my birthday, and I quite enjoyed the experience. I was greeted with a birthday card from the restaurant that was signed by all of the staff. That was much cooler than some lame gathering of the staff to sing me Happy Birthday. My wife and I started with a cheese platter appetizer, which I thought was quite expensive ($17), but overall it was pretty good. For our main courses I had a NY strip entree, my wife had the lamb chop entree. Both meals were perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely wonderful! For dessert we had an "Elvis" chocolate bar, which supposedly is designed off the rumor that everyday Elvis Presley would have a beanut butter, chocolate and bacon sandwich. Aside from the "powdered bacon" topping, it was awesome!"

"If you are someone who enjoys an EXPERIENCE while dining, this is the place for you. I highly recommend the 8-course experience. It's a lot of food though, 2 of us shared it. Truly amazing, creative food served with an attentive, hands-on approach."

"This was our first time dining at 1515 Restaurant, but it won't be our last! Each dish was amazingly delicious, the service was attentive but not smothering. They were out of the sparkling wine we ordered, but offered two alternatives and we were very pleased with our choice (a sparkling pinot noir.) We were 1/2 hour early for our reservation (first ones to arrive for a pre-concert dinner) but were happy we had the extra time to savor the experience. From the amuse-bouche to the salads, the entrees (for him, seared hake with spring green risotto; for her, hand-cut tagliatelle with roasted vegetables), to the shared dessert (kiwi-lichee cheesecake), we were wowed. The owner stopped by a few times to make sure we were happy -- bravo!"

"They open at 5pm for dinner, and our reservations for for 5:15pm so that we could get to the Avelanche game. Our waiter was very friendly and read our energy very well, and was able to pick up on our humor enough to crack a few jokes that we both got a laugh from. It was fairly empty as it was so early, which meant a nice quiet dining experience for my boyfriend and I. We usually have to speak very loudly accross the table. The food was excellent. I had the duck breast and he had the pork chop. After dinner when the owner came to check on how our service was, he remembered meeting my boyfriend a while back and brought us a nice tawney as a dessert. I would highly recommend it!"

"This was my second time eating at 1515 and it was just as amazing the second go around when I already knew what to expect. The food is prepared and served in such a way that you can feel the love and care that has been put in to it in each bite. The meals are an ideal size also, big enough to quench your appetite but not so much that you feel stuffed when you finish the plate, and trust me... you will finish your plate."

"We had an excellent meal to celebrate my fiance's birthday. The lamb sous vide was very tender and flavorful. We were very happy with our cheese plate, as well. "My friend and I decided to celebrate an important milestone in his life, so we decided to go to 1515, which I had heard great things about. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the wine list, however the kitchen made numerous errors that night, at our table and the ones around us as well. Three tables in our vicinity received the wrong meals, and mine had to be redone because they cooked lamb instead of elk. (They caught the error before bringing it to the table.) Their attempts to be creative with their sauces turned out off balance; the fennel on my elk was so overwhelming, I couldn't taste the meat. The same with their dessert. I'm all about creativity, but they were trying too hard and it turned out badly."

"Our 2nd dinner at 1515 was just as nice as the first one. This restaurant has a very creative chef/kitchen. Every course and entree we have had, during both visits, has been outstanding, and well-presented. Don't miss the Bison Short Rib entree. Killer desserts too! The service has been excellent each visit. The wait staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and yet unassuming. The wine list, now on iPads at the tables, has many excellent selections at various price points. Can't wait to go back again!"

"Here for the Easter brunch, so we weren't ordering from the main menu; maybe this was the problem, but the food was wildly variable. Fun crepes, intense shrimp & grits and the 'supercharged' omelet were great, but the french toast was cloying and inedible. Extraordinary desserts (the black forest and doughnuts a 10+) paired with tasteless mush (espresso pudding? I couldn't taste anything). I look forward to returning during regular service and trying something that's been on the menu long enough for the (very attentive) staff to have tried."

"In town for a convention, did a search on the internet for somewhere unique and notable to take 9 clients and colleagues. Although the interior decor could be dressed up a bit, it was the right choice. The food was fabulous, everyone raved about it and still talking about it the next day. "Unfortunately when I cam to the restaurant there was no maitre d' at the door to direct me to the actual dining room, which I believe is downstairs. However, this turned out to my fortune. I ate at the bar, the service there was 15 out of 10. The food was excellent and affordably priced. I had the lobster and garlic soup and a burger. The atmosphere was chill. You often don't think you can go to a nice restaurant with haute cuisine but still feel casual, but at 1515 you can. I will definitely be coming back here again."

"My husband and I think of 1515 as our go-to special occasion place. They never dissapoint us! It is consistently fresh, inventive, and delicious food. The wine pairings are unmatched by any other restaurant. Any time we get a wine pairing at another restaurant, we always compare it to 1515 and it never rivals it. Excellent!"

"Just a quick review - we have dined at 1515 over the years and had not been there for about 3 years - we waited too long! We had a Restaurant Week meal and it was great and the recommended wine pairings really enhanced the entire experience. The parsnip soup was really special. We have never been disappointed at 1515 and plan to get there again soon."

"This was our first time dining at 1515. The waygu beef was outstanding, but seemed overpriced given there were only 6 small pieces of meat. The snails were also very good. The salads were very good portions and flavorful. The main courses is where the missteps started. The duck skin on the breast was not crispy and the portion was small. The lamb was flavorful, although again the portion of meat was small. Portions of our desserts went uneaten. The churros were intentionally raw in the inside and this was not appetizing. The waffle cone fell apart and the funnel cake was too crispy. Overall we were a bit disappointed-the highs did not ultimately make up for the lows."

"Having read other reviews about rushed service during restaurant week, I was a little worried but I did not experience any issue with that. The food was very enjoyable with great flavor and presentation. The different parts really came together to fill out the palette. We ordered the wine pairing and found they worked well. Our waiter was personable and contributed to our enjoyable experience. All in all, it was a pleasant dinner and we would likely return."

"My fiance and I went here for the last day of Restaurant Week. When we first walked in, we were both confused. There was a table of two having a meal and a couple of people at the bar. The hostess, however, headed for the stairs, and we followed. Upstairs, was a completely different scene. It was packed with people having dinner. Who knew?

We ordered the Restaurant Week menu and decided that we would each do the wine pairings as well ($15 for three glasses!). Everything we had was delicious, and we were especially impressed with the wine pairings. My finace loved the white wines he got, and he is usually the red wine guy. And, I found a new fantastic dessert wine that I love."

"Although the downstairs bar of 1515 is nothing much to look at, the welcoming upstairs dining room is the perfect setting for a romantic meal or special occasion. The ridiculous wine list is so voluminous that it is now presented electronically for your scrolling pleasure. The waitstaff is knowledgable and helpful, and our waiter was hilarious to boot. We visited for Denver Restaurant Week, and although we chose from the limited menu, we think it was the best of the 7 different restaurants we visited during that timeframe. This was my first experience with aged black garlic and deconstructed cheesecake (two separate dishes, don't worry), and everything I tasted was better than the thing before."

"We enjoyed the food and wine very much, and our server was excellent. We did feel hurried, and we attribute that to the Denver Dining 5280 experience. We have now participated in the 5280 event three times in the past few years and probably won't do it again. It is a good bargain and seems to be very popular, but we appreciate a more leisurely dining experience. We do realize that this isn't possible for restaurants to do given the price point and the number of participants. We don't fault the restaurant and will dine there again."

"Visited during the 5280 dining and enjoyed the prix fixe offerings. Had a time difference noted on our paperwork and the restaurant called to make sure our intentions, appreciated that personal touch! Food was amazing! First bites of everything brought out the "yummmm's" and we cleaned our plates. Could find each of the flavor layers noted in the descriptions, subtle and not overdone. Very much enjoyed the wine parings offered with each course. Service was unobtrusive but excellent and our waiter knew his stuff. Bar area was unassuming and not noteworthy, upstairs restaurant cozy and well appointed. Will visit again!"

"Needed reservation for 13 people...wasn't easy to find, especially as it was "restaurant week" in Denver.

Great service --- can't say enough about this and our table's attendant Nathan --- and great food. Everything was timed well, hot, and delicious ---- the timing and temp were probably difficult on such a busy night, but they did a great job."

"The food here for Denver Restaurant week was generally very good. All of the appetizer and main courses were truly excellent. The dessert course, specifically the "free form crème brule" marred what was otherwise a good experience with a truly poor final note. What was called a "crème brule" was really a very poorly done mousse. While 1515 clearly specializes in deconstructed cuisine, this deconstructed crème brule didn't even resemble what it was described as, causing a disappointing finish to an otherwise outstanding meal."

"4 of us went on Sunday during Denver Restaurant Weeks. The crepe appetizer was okay, not noteworthy. Entrees were creative and tasted good. The cheesecake and sorbet dessert was a strange combination; each part was good by itself. Our viognier wine was well priced, different from most we've had (smooth and floral), and very good.

The service was excellent. The restaurant is well staffed and they work together well. We were greeted warmly and shown to an excellent table. My water glass never got more than half empty, everybody's selections for each course arrived together, the waitress was knowledgeable, we did not feel hurried even though the restaurant was very busy.

Overall, it was a good night out."
