"I went to Table 17 with my fiancée and my parents for a birthday dinner. We had the steak tartare and the hot balls as appetizers and they were great. The mains were good too, so nothing to complain about food-wise. What really got under my skin was when, as he gave us our coffees after dinner, our waiter informed us that we should hurry up because another group was waiting for our table. Our bill for four came to nearly $500. We had 2 bottles of wine and 4 cocktails and we were being rushed out of the restaurant. For that reason, I will never go back."

"On Sundays, they have a prix fixe menu and you can bring a couple bottles of wine with NO cork fee. We've only gone on Sundays.
They advertised the prix fixe menu on their website at $32, but they charged $35 when we went.
Also the menu on the website didn't match what we were given, but still some outstanding dishes.
Highly recommend . . . they just need to update their website."

"Food was spectacular! Our group had the polenta with venison stew which was served tableside. The flavours were magical and made a polenta convert of my friends. We all loved the hot balls that were paired with their own dipping sauce. The roasted brussel sprouts were the best I've had with a bacon vinaigrette. The beef short ribs were unbelievably tender. The banana cheesecake was too overpowered by the peanut butter, but it was still tasty. Try the whiskey sour!"

"The overall experience was very nice, thank you.
We were undisturbed during conversation and were allowed to enjoy eachother's compnay and the experience rather than just a meal. I was a little disapointed, however, in our table location, as I would have preferred something a little more intimate. My back was to the street window and I ended up wearing my jacket over my shoulders the entire time...a little chilly.
Both my guest and I are tea drinkers and found the cups a little small. Also, I did not care for those pesky little metal, hot water pots. It may be worth the investment for ones made of china/dishware instead. Water/tea stays hotter, brewing is more flavourful and pouring is easier.

"The food at Table 17 is incredible, menu is not very big however changes based on what's seasonal and fresh which I love! The service was very good, atmosphere great, the only issue we had was a very odd odour that kept creaping up on us as we were dining....not very pleasant and did affect our dinner unfortunately. "The good: The food was amazing; the server, Nadya, was friendly and quirky.
The bad: we were made to wait half hour at the bar, even thought we had a reservation, then the bar-man, ignored us for over 10 minutes before telling us he would be with us in a minute. Lastly, we were eating our main course, 90 minutes after our original reservation.

"We agreed to end time as we were 15min late hostess went on and on. No smile when we thanked her for bringing bread -rude Lindsay. I told waitor (accent)I had a restricted diet and needed my meal to be meat or fish and vegetables. He insisted that the menu cannot be substituted and the meal was designed to bring out the flavours etc. I am not an idiot I know a chef puts together ingredients to make the meal taste great but when someone cannot eat any carbs and is on a restricted diet and on medication,they cannot eat anything fancy. I told him I saw brussel sprouts on menu so how can restaurant not have veggies? I told him I eat out 3x a week and this is 1st venue to give me a hard time. I insisted he ask the chef which chef accomodated"

"A great little restaurant which surpassed mine (and my gf's) expectation. The food was really excellent! The scallops and beef tartar were delicious and the portion on the beef was quite generous. An all out meal for two could get a little pricey with wine (pushing $200), but if you can restrain yourself a bit you can certainly get a delicious meal for a decent price."

"We were visiting for the weekend from Pittsburgh, and relying on online reviews took a chance on Table 17. We loved everything about our evening, except that the bar was too crowded. But we went next door to Rasputins for a fine cocktail prior to returning for dinner. Extrordinary food, lovely ambiance, friendly professional servers. Thanks for a lovely experience."

That information should be well publicized so an informed choice can be made about whether to make a reservation. Our server informed us when had a half hour left at the table. "Really enjoyed everything that was sent our way. Very pleased with the sides, specifically the cabbage and brussel sprouts. We felt the portions were very generous and well executed. We shared the duck rulade, and I had the roasted onion soup(perfectly seasoned for me), pork belly (not fatty at all), and the sticky toffee (would return simply for this). My wife had the fish balls, arctic char (skin was great, cucumber balls were really neat), and the sticky toffee.
We'll definitely return."

"Table 17 it's a really nice place. I went there with my friend. I booked a table using my OpenTable app and works perfectly. Our table was booked to 9:15PM but waited 15 minutes to have our seats. This was not a problem at all. We sit at the bar and had a good glass of wine (Rose) from a very good list of wines. Everybody there is friendly.Instead of we ordered a main course, what we did was order some suggested appetizers. We had 3: Kale Salad (delicious), a suggested dumplings and a beef tartare. After that a very good desert (their desserts are amazing)! The food was very good and the price fair.We definitely had a good night there.I recommend!"

"Very pleasant staff, and helpful. The cauliflour soup was fabulous. The duck with farrotto was very nice, the steak was just okay, the sticky pudding was to die for. Not great was the collard greens which are bitter and the only option for a green. I tried them but couldn't do it! The only other problem was waiting quite a while for cream for my coffee, which had cooled down by the time the cream arrived."

"Right from the start the server seemed to be in some rush (there were only 2 tables occupied).She would walk away literally and reply back with her back towards us.Our two glasses of red wine came completely COLD! Another server was nice enough to come check on us and when told, he quickly fixed that. The beef tartar had so much seasoning that it was overwhelming. I told the server and offered to take it back and replace it with something else. Rib eye was a poor quality of meat, beef short ribs lacked in taste-it was boring after 8-10 bites. Banana cheesecake lacked finesse.At the time of the cheque she tells me we comped ur first glass but charged u for second. We only had one glass each-what comp? You served cold wine that I sent back!!"
