"This was the best restaurant that we eat at all weekend! The service was impeccable and very friendly. We had conversions with all our wait staff and they made us feel at home. Our waiter explained all the wines to us and even taught us what to look for in a good wine. I can't wait to go back again and it was worth every penny!"

"Had reservations for dinner before a Ranger playoff game so we needed to eat early in the evening. We ordered drinks and apps which were fine. My companion ordered the fish special which she didn't care for and asked for another meal which was provided without question or comment. The only negative was our waiter who rushed through announcing the specials, wasn't sure of the vegtables with the special and seemed to want to be somewhere else, the other wait staff were considerate and efficient. This was our second visit to Uncle Jack's and would recommend it to our friends."

"The sides were by far better than the steaks. Ambiance was nice, service excellent although we were there at 4:30 on a Saturday so it was not busy. We won't go back but I would get a take out for some sides. Typical overpriced steaks, for the money we like Smith & Wollensky and Ruth Chris."

"Service was ok but not excellent. One of the steaks wasn't prepared correctly so my friend didn't get her steak until we were almost finished. They did bring us complimentary desserts and drinks. Also they overcharged us for some salads."

"After watching Restaurant Steakout, we had high hopes on a dining experience here...and were totally disappointed. Talked down to by our waiter for ordering the light fare, he was unattentive and didn't even offer to refill our drinks. We were practically done with our meals before he came to check on us, and 3 of 4 of us didn't even get our entire order. Apparently what you see on tv isn't how it is in real life :("

"I will not recommend this restaurant. I and my partner ordered a porterhouse steak (for two). On the site was mentioned that a porterhouse is 48 ounce and the picture they showed is a fine piece of meat of 48 ounce. Totally different from the piece of meat we found on our plate. It was barely enough for two (the quality of the meat was ok). In Europe it's normal to have some time between the courses, so when we were finished with our main course we were still enjoying our wine. We told the waiter we want some time before we decided on our dessert. A minute later he ask us again if we want dessert or coffee. Again, we said that we need some time. Two minutes later the waiter brought us the (enourmous) bill. Within 75 minutes we were outside"

"I was in New York on business and looking for a place to have dinner by myself. I found Uncle Jack's on Open Table and made a reservation, then when I arrived I asked to sit at the bar. The bartender knew her wine list, and had three very good and uncommon cabernets by the glass for me to choose from, so I had to try all three. The oysters were perfect, the salad was very good. "They were definitely having an off night.The fact that there were problems(they ran out of bread & slow kitchen)is not the problem, it is the fact that we asked for it 3 times,were told "yes, of course, right away" and then nothing.We received our appetizers in reasonable time, but then it was forever for our entrees.Instead of coming to the table and telling us they were out of bread,they just let us sit there and almost were afraid to come to the table to even refill the water.It was 1 hour between the time we were seated and the time our entrees came out. When management could see I was not happy, they finally came over and fell over themselves to make things right, but the damage was already done.Maybe we will try again."

"There is nothing special about Uncle Jack's steakhouse. The menu is pretty standard fare for a NYC steakhouse. Service was ok. MY husband and I went for dinner saturday night. between appetizers and sides we decided to share the larger rib eye. Imagine our surprise at a $10 sharing charge that we were never told about. I would understand if the entree was all inclusive but everything is al cart and we were never told about it. Prices are high enough to forgo a share charge"

"I was disappointed with this location. The service was not that good and I could only eat half of my NY Strip due to all the fat and grizzle. I would have sent it back, but the restaurant was very busy and did not feel like waiting for another steak, Especuially since my wife had already finished her dinner. The Queens location is much better. We were very disappointed and it was not cheap."

"after eating in every steak house in the city and the north shore of long island i was going to the car show with a couple of friends and decided to give Willy a shot.the greeting was outstanding. extremely accommodating. the table, perfect. service perfect. there were 3 of us ordering appetizers so we figured we would order different stuff and kind of split them. so we order shrimp cocktail, a wedge and one of us doesn't like apps and only salad so he ordered a house salad. the wedge comes out and its the smallest wedge i ever saw. i mean its iceberg for goodness sake. each of 2 of us that shared it had 3 fork fulls of salad and that was it. we just felt the wedge was tiny. steaks were perfect."

"Owner Willy should practice what he preaches on his TV show !!! I had high expectations after listening to his views on customer service, etc. Service was slow and unattentive. 7 of us sat for too long before we were even acknowledged. Server was very distracted - doing us a favor by serving us. Food was delicious, but service was lacking. The serving assistants were very good, but our main waiter was not. Expected something a little more upscale. Pricey menu but we were over dressed - jackets and ties not needed here.....many looked like they had just rolled out of bed - real slobs. On a positive note, our table was ready when we arrived and it was as I requested - round for 7."

"First visit to this restaurant and the service definitely lives up to its reputation! Food was delicious and drinks were awesome! Our head waiter was fantastic- answered all if our questions and made some fabulous suggestions! Never rushed us and our water glasses were constantly being refilled! "The restaurant was lovely and our waiter was just the nicest guy. If not for the customer service, I would've given this restaurant 2 stars for effort. The website was wrong to post that "kids eat free ALL DAY Sunday." It so happens that it's only for "dinner." We spent another $40 for a Sizzler steak for the kids. Haven't tried Sizzler, but that's how I imagine their steak would be. The porterhouse may be shared by 3 people. It was bland. The ceasar salad was also not very interesting. The crabcakes were delicious. It should be, as it is $6 a piece."

"For a restaurant and an owner that prides himself on the best service in the world as he mentions numerous times on his tv show, Uncle Jacks was very disappointing. To start, we sat down at 7pm on Saturday, 23 MAR 2013. Our waiter didn't get to us till 7:15. The restaurant was nowhere near capacity by the way. We were never given menus but told to just look at the menu boards hanging around the restaurant. Our appetizer didn't arrive till 7:45 and the porterhouse for 2 didnt arrive till almost 8:30. The steak was cooked as we asked but lacked any flavor. Overall, the food was mediocre at best. The food is extremely overpriced for the quality and the service was below average at best. First and last time we will eat there."
