Recently awarded the AAA Four-Diamond Award, Madison’s Restaurant and Wine Garden at the Old Edwards Inn and Spa helps define the dining scene in downtown Highlands. The talented culinary team hand crafts each dish with farm-to-table, sustainable ingredients to bring out the most abundant flavors nature has to offer.
A Wine Spectator award-winning restaurant for the past five years with “Best of“ awards for the past two, Madison's wine list features an expansive selection from an extensive wine cellar. Madison’s sommelier—or “Wine Navigator” as he introduces himself—helps with selections. The Private Wine Cellar offers an intimate dining setting for up to 12 guests.
Madison’s Restaurant and Wine Garden is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Reservations are suggested for lunch and dinner. The Wine Garden is open in the warmer months. All major credit cards are accepted.

"We have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at this fine restaurant several times already in 2013. The setting, service, and food are all of the highest quality, yet the restaurant is very comfortable and not at all stuffy. The prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the level of service. We also recently visited the organic gardens at The Old Edwards Farm where many of the greens are sourced and were given a tour by farmer David Taylor. His passion for unusual organic produce is evident in the garden and on the plate where it can show up just a few hours after harvesting. Farmer Taylor, the very talented Chef Johannes Klapdohr, and the wait staff all strive to be the very best!"

"Ash for Jesse! She made us into food adventurous eaters! Loved the pear salad. Meat and potatoes hubby loved German Flounder and I thought pink trout delicious. Turned out Madison's, while not cheap, is definitely cheaper than I expected. They even have meatloaf. Remember, this is Highlands and nothing is cheap, but this comes close. They made us feel like out of town family coming to visit--lovely."

"The food was beautifully presented and tasty. All though very good, it lacked a certain pop in flavors that would take it to outstanding. The dining room was very comfortable and beautifully lit. What made the experience outstanding was our waiter Jeffrey. He was entertaining, attentive without smothering and had complete knowledge of the nights offerings. He seemed to be able to read our minds about what we were wanting and brought just the right things. Because of Jeffrey I had one of the best dining experiences ever."

"We had dinner at Madison's on a Friday night in April 2013. The restaurant itself is very nicely appointed. The food was very good. My wife had the nightly special which was Petrale Sole. She had been undecided about what to get due to a special salad that came with another dish. They were nice enough to bring her a small sample of the salad even though she ordered the Petrale instead. I ordered the ribeye, which was prepared well and cooked as ordered (medium rare). For desert, we split a rice pudding. it was not our favorite, but it was nicely presented. Though out the meal, the service was excellent. Always available, but never felt like they were hovering. Overall, I would definitely recommend."
