"-staff appeared upset that they had customers -served the wrong bottle of wine, watched as the waiter tried to insist we drink it anyway -4 identical dishes, served as 4 different cuts of beef -took 30 min to take our order, 1:45 to get our meal -food was OK, not worth the hassel"

"A wonderful meal. Our waiter was excellent, and very personable. But there seemed to be a computer snafu with our bill which took a while to straighten out. In all, though, an excellent experience."

"The server we had (Guillium) was very rude and unprofessional. It took forever to take our order and the way he spoke was like he was yelling at us and he rushed us as we ordered. We put in our order and it took 1 hour to get our soup and salad. The entrees took another 20 minutes. The food was fine not great just fine. We wanted desert but didn't want to spend another minute at the table so we asked for it to go and our waiter told us no. We didn't want ice cream just a piece of cake and he told me he couldn't make it to go. HUH? I guess putting it in a box was a hassle for him. I told the manager about how long the wait was for appetizers and how rude the waiter was and she just nodded her head and said sorry and that was it! Never again."

"The food was very good. But unfortunately we were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation. This should never happen at such a high-end and expensive establishment. I rated the service as "fair" instead of "poor" only because our server was polite and knowledgeable."

"The Duck confit on mushroom risotto was phenomenal!!! Our actual server was so-so, but the bus boys and other staff were quite attentive and friendly. I had a big work bag with me and the hostess was kind and smart enough to place me at a table that had enough room for me to put it to the side without crowding my personal dining space (she was thinking ahead and I like that)."

"The setting is elegant and warm, the staff is efficient and wonderful, the expectations are high since this is The Fairfax Hotel. Then comes the disappointing food. The butternut squash soup was OK, the main meal of Strip Loin, was dry, very little taste, I could make much better at home without paying so much for it. I decided I will not finish it because the calories were not worth it. We finished the meal with Creme Brulee, which was good, but nothing special. It's not a place for foodies."

"Beautiful ambiance, had a great corner booth. Unfortunately they brought the wrong food, which was impressive since we were the only table the waiter had. Could not suggest a pairing with wine or cocktails. Steak was delicious"

"I had wanted to eat here for many years and finally booked a table this week. The food was bad, poorly prepared and no taste. The service was not much better. I would not even go back for a free meal!"

"Food was quite tasty and beautifully presented. The service was weak. We really weren't quite sure who was our server and nobody came to check on us after our meal was delivered. Our plates sat for a while after we were done and getting our bill took too long."

"Yes, it is Restaurant Week, a stressful time for most restaurants. However, some of that stress would be alleviated by staffing properly during this busy time! At dinner on Weds, we only saw one actual server, providing service to the entire floor! Yes, there are back waiters to help...but throughout our 2 hour dinner our server visited our table three times. Greet, order taking, and check drop! We ordered a bottle of wine, which I ended up pouring for myself and my fiance throughout the meal. After our entree, the person who opened the bottle came over and picked it up to pour more wine (finally!), realized the bottle was empty, and made fun of us for finishing it "so quickly" (again, 2 hours). Got dessert to go. Won't be back."

"I loved the Jockey Club and was thrilled to find the same ambiance, good service and food. We had a group of seven, and everyone was very happy that we could talk. Excellent place for a small group of people who are looking for quiet."
