"This is the first time going to this restaurant. I took my mom and kids there for Mother's day. It was buffet style . Food was mediocre and service were disappointing. The buffet selection was limited. It was difficult to get the attention of the waiter in order to order drinks. I will not return and cannot recommend this overpriced disappointing experience"

"As always you are treated very special when you walk in. For a Mother's Day brunch there was no long lines or cold food. Everything was wonderful. The wait staff is so attentive. I love this resaurant and even though it is a 45 minute ride for us to come from Julington Creek we will always go there."

"This time it was disappointing. The waiter did not listen to our requests. It is a nice restaurant with a decent menu, but a waiter can make or break the experience."

"My first visit. Went into see the singer on Thursday night. Would love to go back. The bartenters were "nice". The singer Jukebox 377 was great. Loved the Ambiance!"

"Hostess was not at station and we waited several minutes for her to appear. Food was OK. Server was nice but not experienced ... Had a bit of trouble with opening wine bottle. Food was OK - not great, not bad."

"Easter Sunday Brunch was fantastic. I loved the very 1st brunch @ the Bristo! All the food that should have been hot was & whatever the food that was to be served chilled was! It was a great meal to meet with future family...................!"

"We had Easter brunch there. The food was good but was way over priced. There were only a handful of choices for $32.95 per person. I am totally willing to pay that or even more for quality food but I felt this fell short. I would be willing to try them again for other meals, but will not go back for brunch."

"Both my wife and I had fish, 2 different dishes. Both were cooked perfectly, moist and tender. We enjoyed the dishes but felt the flavors were OK, not Wow. Presentation was great. Prices were toward the high side, especially for the wine list. While the beer glasses are attractive, the long/tall shape tends to drive too much carbonation out of the beer too quickly so it tastes flat by the time it's half-way gone."

"Over priced for what we ordered. My wife and I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was good, however the cabbage was not good. It was 1/4 of a head of cabbage whole. It was so tough I had problems cutting it with their steak knife."

"Great food and very obliging service. Limited wine selection but they will let you take your own bottle for a corkage fee. Next time we will save some room for dessert - we are told the bread pudding is excellent!"

"We booked this based on OpenTable, and were pleasantly surprised. It was on a rainy Monday night, so was pretty quiet, but the food and the service were both very nice. The menu offered plenty of options. All in all a nice place!"

"To me there is one thing a chef should never mess up and that is shrimp. It only takes 3 minutes tops to cook and more than that it turns to rubber. Unfortunately my shrimp and grits appetizer and main course boillabaise suffered from rubbery shrimp. The grits were dense and chunky which was good because the sauce was watery and flavorless. I was underwhelmed by the Shrimp + Grits. Despite the overcooked shrimp, the boullabaise was outstanding. Rich tomato soup with generous quantities mussels, fish, shrimp, lobster, and squid. The chef's choice soup of duck broth and vegetables was simple but full of flavor."

"This restaurant is probably a great local gem. The food seems well thought out and presentation is pleasing. The service, however, cast a negative feeling over our experience. Our server was condescending, making us feel as though we were inexperienced diners, even when we told her we were not. Wanted to try this to perhaps put it in our beach restaurant rotation. Will try one more time, but will be certain not to sit in the same server's area."

"Our first time here (found it on Open Table) and it was GREAT! Live music on one side with a quieter dining section too. Food and service were both outstanding. We will definitely be back.o"

"Our experience at North Beach Bistro was great! We had party of 12 and I really had a hard time finding a place that would take a reservation for such a large group. The food was AMAZING! Everything was perfect. We will definitely pick this spot again for another night out on the town with friends!"

"Split The Calimari was great and Caesar. Fantastic on both. Service was excellent until she took our salads away and then nothing for 30+ minutes. I can't remember going that long between courses. Fortunately we were in great moods so we kind of laughed it off. Also fortunately the entree I ordered was amazing. Tuna soba. It made me forget the wait. My wife had pecan grouper I think and it was pretty good but get the tuna. Better than Roys."

"My companion and I visited on Tuesday for the Maine Lobster specials: Two four-ounce tails for $18 or one for $10. It includes whipped potatoes and vegetables.
I also ordered the Lentil Stew; my companion ordered the Wedge Salad, and we shared the Hazelnut desert.
Everything was well prepared and tasty. The Lentil Stew is especially good."

"We went with a group of 6 and were seated at a nice table. We were all able to find items on the menu that we liked, even my two picky vegetarian friends. One person ordered the filet, and he said it was one of the best filets he had ever had. I had the shrimp & grits for an appetizer, and it was very good, although I really loved the other version they had for years. I had the seafood soup, which had lots of seafood and a very tasty broth. My husband had the beef ribs and he said they were very good as well. A very good restaurant that is always pretty consistent with service and food quality. I'm disappointed that they took the whole fried fish off the menu, as that was my favorite."

"Appetizers were the best part of the meal. Decent wine list. Entrees were disappointing for the price - the bouillabaise lacked flavor, however the Schezuan Ahi Tuna was excellent. Dead atmosphere on a Tuesday night."

"You can go high end or low brow in this wonderful warm toned establishment. The bar area was playing trivia and you never heard it in the dining area. The open kitchen is quite quiet and a astonishing to watch. The Chef is excellent. If the Crab corn Chowder is on the menu is it a must! Everything in the resturant is FRESH! Homemade and made with love! I had the apple cider brasied pork tenderlion that was fork tender and had leftovers!"
