"For a special date or an evening to celebrate - I would recommend Blu. The food was great, the service nice and although we had a late reservation on a quiet night - the staff stayed (we were the last to leave the place). I would highly recommend! Also - for a Yorkville fine dining restaurant, the Bill for 2, with wine and cocktails and starters + mains, came to little under 175 - which is pretty affordable too - kudos to the Chef the waiters."

"My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday on a Friday evening. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was impeccable. There was a man playing the piano - the music selection was fantastic, his vocals and playing skills were absolute - added that perfect extra touch. We would definitely recommend BLU and are already looking forward to dining there again soon!"

"This was our first time attending Blu Ristorante for our best friend's birthday. Having just travelled back from Rome, we were missing the Italian food and this restaurant did not disappoint us at all. The olives reminded us of being back in Rome. "From when you walk in, they take care of you by taking your coat. Servers are attentive and food comes out at a proper pace. Had the marinated olives which were warm and good. The goat cheese panna cotta for the appetizer was ok, but the star of the night was the vegan stuffed acorn squash. It is a big portion an the slight sweetness of the squash was balanced out by the beans and salsa on top. It was my second time there and they did not disappoint. My friends had the risotto and sea bass and they were very happy with their choices as well."

"Blu was recommended to me as a Sea Food restaurant but that is not how I would describe it. It has a nice variety of food.
The food was very good and the service was excellent - we had a great waiter.
The 3 orders of fish that were ordered all came undercooked and our waiter was quick to take them back and replaced with new fish. Still not 100% to our liking as far as how cooked it should be, the flavour however was very good.
Our waiter took them off the bill without us even mentioning or expecting him to.
We enjoyed ourselves and all 6 of us would recommend it and come back."

"I have enjoyed the food at Blu the few times I have been. Seeing a vegan entree listed on their menu, I invited a vegan friend to dinner. She loved the entree but found it odd that Blu did not offer a vegan appetizer, pasta nor dessert. It would be great if Blu expanded their menu to include more vegan options -- missing a part of the Yorkville market with only the one vegan entree available."

"The service was really good. The owner, Alfredo, greeted us at the door and was an amazing host. The food was very good, but not best I have ever had. I would go back again if only for the great service and wonderful ambience."

"My girlfriend and I went for Winterlicious. The food was great and the staff extremely friendly. The gentleman playing live music was a nice touch, he even walked around the restaurant and asked if they would like to hear anything specific.
It was a bit crowded, so much so that the woman beside us asked if she could move a curtain so they had a bit more privacy.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant to others."

"Being a concierge at the Four Seasons before I have only heard good things about Blu, so I thought it would be great to finally try it out. A friend and I decided to check it out during Winterlicious, and unfortunately the service was not what we expected. After waiting sometime to be served, we saw the table next to us be served, but we still had to wave down a server ourselves a few minutes later. We felt slightly neglected that evening, but a few servers were quite decent and attentive to our table. Unfortunately, with Blu being a restaurant that I had heard so highly about through co-workers it was not what I was expecting."

"My experience at this restaurant started out positive the atmosphere was warm the live music was entertaining, the food was average for Toronto. Our waitress was great. The customer service shown by the hostess was extremely poor. We had just finished our dinner as was about to order after dinner drinks when the Hostess basically told us our table was reserved for 9pm and we would have to leave. Needless to say the way the situation was handled just made us leave. We ended up a One Restaurant where we have a great remainder of the evening. So I would not recommend this restaurant."

"We went to Blu last Friday the 25th Jan 2013 for winterlicious. Nice live piano player, great food. I had the 3 course meal winterlicious meal. The trout was fantastic as was the desert and starter. This is our 4th time there, blu never disappoint. Highly recommended"
