"We came to celebrate my daughter who received a school award, as well as to celebrate Mother's Day. We were seated immediately for our 4:45pm reservation, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious! Seafood lovers should definitely order the Seastar Tower, either to share or as a dinner entree. Even with several patrons there and background music playing, the restaurant was never too loud where my family could not hear each other with normal conversation voices. We also appreciated the validated parking."

"Our waiter had an outstanding repoire with our four year old son. It made the experience extremely pleasant for him, which as any parent will attest to...it makes it a pleasant experience for us.
The CA roll had a clean fresh taste, but not noteworthy. The Bisque was rich and tangy. It would have been better serviced as a shot, for it was too rich on the palette to be eaten entirely, even from the little 4oz bowl size. We tried both the Salmon dishes and found them cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning to lingering on the tongue without over powering the delicate flavor of the salmon. The vegetable accompanying the salmon a tad oily, but flavorful with a bit of a snap."

"For all you Dungeness crab lovers -- get to Seastar today and order the Dungeness crab and corn bisque. Yes, it has a bit of cream. But it's without a doubt the best soup I've ever had, and the few extra calories are more than worth it. Incredibly sweet and delicious."

"It was a nice experience and the menu had a variety of options. However, we got the vibe that the food for the restaurant week menus was simplified with smaller portion sizes compared to other entrees we saw benign brought out. Which is a terrible idea considering that it was our first time to the restaurant and first impression. So if the food would have been great we would have been back to pay for regular priced items, now definitely not."

"Had a wonderful meal - everything was delicious and well-prepared; despite the dining room being large and full there was no noticeable noise to take away from our conversation. The only downside was that the interior design of the restaurant, all the way down to the napkin rings, made me feel like I was in a chain hotel instead of a nice restaurant that specializes in high-quality seafood and fresh, seasonal ingredients."

"We are regulars at Seastar and it is one of our favorite restaurants. We were sorely disappointed - both of us had meals that were far below the standard of Seastar. The service was a bit off, as well. After I alerted the server to the fact that my swordfish was dry and chewy, my wife chose not to let me know that her scallop entree was sub-par, as well, until after my replacement had come (she did not want to create a scene - she does that). It was our second visit last week, but far below the first one. I guess every restaurant is off sometimes. We are confident that this was an isolated event."

"The seafood from the Raw Bar is wonderful. I'd make a whole meal out of it, but then I'd miss out on the great entrees.

"of course the food was nice -- what surprised me this time was that the service was not up to par. I arrived ahead of my husband, was seated early (good thing) but was pretty much left alone (bad thing)
I had to signal to the manager walking by to please get me a drink, and when the appropriate wait staff (who eventually became our waitress) came by she dropped off the drink - no apology for the wait -- and didn't check if I wanted an appi.
I had to flag her down again to please take my order.
Dinner for two with two drinks was $180 -- for that kind of money I deserve to be noticed :-)"

"The only problem i saw is when the waiters or managers go around
and "dust off" the seats of the chairs by taking a napkin and hitting
the chair seats thus causing dust to arise into the air.
I know they are probably knoching off ant small crumbs that might be on the
seats but surely there is a better way to do it thne by causing a "dust storm"."

"Pricey? Yes, but worth it. Excellent seafood especially the raw bar dishes. Only negative that bothered me was when offered some ground pepper on my salad, the waitress grabbed the small pepper mill on the table and used it. Really, I have been to many lower end restaurants where they at least carry one of those monster mills with them when serving salads so one can enjoy much fresher ground pepper! Picky point probably."

"A very good dining experience. This is one of my favorite places to take clients on the Eastside. You can't go wrong with the service and food. As the valet out front takes the hassle out of parking. All in all a great value."
