"Food here was above average. I had the Halibut and that was pretting amazing. The sauce around the fish including the grilled onions were very good. Oysters were also good so you can't go wrong with that. Dessert, mmmmm so delicous, good chioices."

Review 2 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"It's a nice looking reasturant with good decor, I went during the evening but as it has glass windows along two lengths, I'm guessing it has a nice view during the day. Do not get the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, I love both types of veg, but this was HEAVILY salted (I also love salt) and inedible. Sadly the service was extremely poor. I had to ask for the 'complementary' bread, oh haven't you got it' no surprisingly not, hence me asking for it. The staff couldn't be less attentive, I'm certainly a person who likes to take their time when eating, bitbinthink they filled up my water glass once, in the whole evening. Overall it's an 'okay' place, there are much better places to eat, that are better food, better service and cheaper."

Review 3 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Waiter very pleasant. Restaurant had plenty of open tables. We wanted to sit outside since I have been there before and loved the outside. However, they were not seating outside that night because there supposedly was a chance for rain. We ordered cocktails and then ordered our meal. Salad came very quickly. No time to even enjoy cocktails. Then they served the dinners while one of us was still eating our salad! They made room to put dinner down on table. My dish tasted fine except it was luke warm inside fish as if it had been made earlier and put on a hot plate. There were plenty of tables open. Felt very rushed. In and out of there in about an hour or less."

"Great restaurant. The food was fantastic and the manager (Riley) really helped to make our event the best ever! This restaurant team goes above and beyond the call of duty. And the food speaks for itself."

Review 6 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Food was overly salty. If they had kept the ingredients down to 3-4 per plate, the dishes would have been great. But instead they piled ingredients on top of ingredients on top of salt and it just overwhelmed your palate. It's too bad because the quality of the ingredients individually was great."

Review 9 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Food was fair to good; not innovative or very interesting. I ordered wine by the glass which took a long time to come to my table and was not there for the correct food course I was eating. Being on South Beach, there are more interesting restuarants to choose from"

Review 10 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"I had such high hopes for this restaurant. I really wanted to love everything about it. But, sadly, not to be. Too large to be intimate, too noisy to be conversational, too dark (at tables near the windows)to read the menu, too long to wait for food...
My choices were delicious: roasted red beet salad, blackened grouper, s'mores dessert. My husband's, a disappointment: vegetable platter soaked in olive oil and limited in selection.
We're in no rush to return. Too bad."

Review 11 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"They serve basic home food at five star prices. We took the chef's five course tasting menu and rightly expected something delicious and special, but there was not an ounce of refinement or specialness in the dishes. The steak was so tough and salty that we had to send it back. The service was slow and disorganized; the atmosphere nothing special. A big disappointment and way overpriced."

Review 13 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"We had steak and stripped bass. The steak was good, but the bass was average. Portions were way too small. No sides came with the steak. The fried asparagus we had as an optional side was very good. Prices of all items on the menu were at least 40% higher than they should have been given the quality and quantity of the food. Drink/wine prices were overpriced by at least 50%. The menu was very limited, and our copies were virtually unreadable because of small type size, poor quality of printing, and bad lighting. Service was slow and unattentative throughout the evening. Overall an exorbitantly priced disappointing dining experience we would not want to repeat anytime soon, nor recommend to anyone else."

Review 14 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Quality of the food was poor. The steak I ordered was small and flavorless...not what I expected for the price. My wife ordered scallops and she did not eat them, Other dishes seemed overly complicated and the complexity did not improve the flavor. Would never go back."

Review 15 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"I ordered an excellent skirt steak dish, which was served with a perfect chimichurri. My waiter, who was juggling several large tables, provided a free glass of wine upon discovering that the bar staff had forgotten to bring it with my meal. Lemon bar dessert and port menu were satisfactory. This is an above-average overpriced hotel restaurant with a nice ambience."

"I am a foodie and have gone to almost all restaurants in Miami. This restaurant made my top 5 in just one visit (I would even say it's the best I have been to in Miami!!!) in only the first time I went. VERY single plate was INCREDIBLY good!"

Review 18 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"The food and service were decent. However the restaurant knew I was a hotel guest and entitled to a discount for an early reservation. They failed to apply the discount and when I asked at the hotel the next day, they refused. Not good customer service, especially for an elite Marroitt member."

"The pork chops were delicious! Had Aimee wine which was a great choice. Had an earlier reservation so it was pretty quiet when we arrived, but as it got later in the evening the place was packed. You need a reservation for sure! We were in town for business and came to 1500 on a recommendation. The next day we recommended the place to our co-workers. They also had nothing but good things to say."

"Athmosphere, meal and people great. We did feel a bit uncomfortable with the proximity of other couple tables, it was hard not to listen to their conversation.
Rather than that a great place to come back, ensuring a more private sitting."

"Awesome restaurant, top for all the restaurants we ate at this week. The Grits and Chorizo were delectable, the Mac & Cheese one of the best we've had in ages, and the steaks by FAR the best we've had in ages.
This restaurant deserves every star it gets!"

Review 23 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"The service, which seems to be the norm in Miami Beach, was lazy and inattentive. I was served warm water once then waited forever to get a refill. The ribeye was just okay, thin cut and lacking flavor. At the bar I asked if they had any craft beers and the tender yelled, "we don't have any draft - just bottles." I asked if they had any local bottled beers, and he just sticks a glass of who-knows-what and never returned, as if I was not worth his time. Cool spot, super nosiy, not worth returning."

Review 25 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"I had the skirt steak, very good, my husband the chops. The service is very attentive and friendly. It's a busy, loud but "happening" place. My only criticism is that when I pay that much, I want tablecloths! Actually all three high end restaurants we visited in Miami were bare tables. I'm used to Charleston where the table setting is part of the total package."

Review 27 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Food is excellent, though the portions are really small, like in the majority of high-end restaurants. You will definitely have to order an Appetizer and an Entree, if you want to walk out of there feeling satisfied. However, the food is so good that you will love having to do so! The entire menu is worth trying!!! We will back iver and over again."

Review 30 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"What a disappointment! Would not accept reservation after 6 or before 9. "Walked in" on Sat nite at 7pm to an empty room.Food was mediocre -lovely to look at, but tasteless.Shrimp cocktail was the only decent thing we ate, but at $6 per shrimp one would expect it to be outstanding.Burned a $99 steak then argued WE didn't understand their cooking "techniques". Dinner for 6 was $750 without liquor.Except for convenient location near boat show, restaurant holds no redeeming value.Miami is filled with exciting gastromohic choices. This is certainly not one of them."

Review 37 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Everything was fantastic, superb and out of sight. The only thing I would change is the music which was bad heavy bass industrial disco! Horrible. How about jazz or Sade or something as seductive as the cuisine?
But it was a great dining experience and we will definitely have another meal before we leave. The beet salad was fantastic, the brussell sprouts outrageous and the spinach divine! I try not to eat animals so I was so happy to have wonderful vegetables. Dessert was out of this world. We ordered the chocolate cake and were "gifted" the banana tart also. My husband loved his fish and my sister loved her beef with bernaise.
Breakfast was superb too with wonderful waitstaff."

Review 38 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"Our waitress told us the bar stocked Effen and Zyr vodka and came back after we ordered to say that they had neither vodka. The bar "ran out " of Santa Margueita Pinot Grigio. Our friend's dessert arrived after the rest of our party had finished their desserts. My NY bone-in Kansas City steak was tough."

Review 39 for 1500° - Eden Roc (A Renaissance Resort)
"1500 is located in the Eden Roc hotel so parking is at a premium. We went at 7pm on Sunday night, too. We valet parked for $17. I did not think to ask about validation. The hostess was quick to seat and our waiter, Matthew, was professional and observant. We started with a beet salad and polenta. Definitely get the polenta. I had the wahleby steak which was seasoned beautifully. My wife had the grouper which was nice. We got asparagus and corn which complemented perfectly. I had the "Squeeze Me" drink which was quite refreshing with quite a kick. Dinner was topped off with a delicious creme broulee and banana tart. What really made this night sparkle was the excellent service and tasty delicious food prepared and presented perfectly."

"We actually ate there three times during our stay at Eden Roc - appetizers and drinks, dinner and then breakfast. The food was amazing and the service was awesome. Richard was our server and he was a delight. Our stay in Miami was so much fun, and 1500 was a large part of it! Thank you, we will be back!"
