"Service was excellent. I thought the food was too pricey for the quality. The other diners enjoyed their dinners, mine was just ok. The house salad had no taste. I had the lobster stack special with guac and black beans. The seasoning overwhelmed the dish. My husband enjoyed the lobster ravioli and my son had the sole fixe shanghai style and he enjoyed it. Personally, for the price - there are better restaurants in Fort Myers area."

"It was restaurant week for all of the venues located at the Bell Tower complex. Our entrees were very good and the specials run for restaurant week at this establishment offered a nice variety. Only problem keeping it from getting a better review were the quality of the oysters. Very disappointing especially given the name of the restaurant

Michael was our server...a familiar face who transferred up from Real Seafood in Naples...another one of our favorite oyster restaurants.
A great atmosphere for outside dining.

"I've reviewed Blue Pointe so many times, and will continue to do so as consistency in great food and service should be commended.
Had our usual oysters (Katamas are so fresh), and I had a ribeye. Not a place you would think of for a steak, but the ribeye was really good.
Albert was our server and did a great job!!! Thanks Albert!

"Besides the fresh oysters being outstanding, the dynamite sushi roll was excellent. Grilled grouper was incredible, as was the scallop/shrimp dish. The signature blue cheese vinaigrette slaw is unique. Wines were a bargain!! Reggie, our server, was terrific and great to talk to. Outdoors on a warm Florida evening, the experience was peak!! We have been here several times and have never had anything other than a great meal!"

"Recently reviewed Blue Pointe and gave it a great review. We dined again with 2 couples visiting from out of town here and their eyes opened wide at the great food. From steak to fish, everyone was very happy about their choices. As one of our fellow diners crunched down on the Calamari he commented, "Now this is REALLY good!" Great service from Tim, our waiter, as always."

"Out of four meals, three were not very good. We brought our dissatisfaction to the attention of the manager and he delivered several excuses, none helped the food. Server was not as attentive as you would expect for a rest. with the pricing structure they have.

"As locals, Blue Pointe has been one of our local mainstays for years. Food is always dependably good, service always friendly and efficient. Good variety of steak, fresh fish, sushi on the menu. Not an oyster fan but they offer quite a few on the menu. Affordable wine list. Cozy atmosphere inside good for romantic or business meetings. Outdoor seating plentiful for the tourists. Relatively small but comfortable bar area for those inclined to drink and watch a ball game. In season reservations recommended as it gets very busy. Fort Myers has few dinner dining options to recommend that aren't chains."

"We were disappointed in the place. The best thing was the oysters, The worst was the rest of the food. Steaks not cooked properly, Lobster tail was from a baby. We ordered New England Clam Chowder for an app. We are from New England, and what we got was Potatoe soup with a spec of a clam. I would guess it came out of a can. When we sent it back the server's attitude changed immediately, to the negative. Even the Mojito's were not right. Nice ambience in the evening, Lousy food.
Bread was excellent."

"As usual, the oysters were great, fresh and cold. Entrees were fine also, although after taking my wife's leftover perch home and having it for lunch the next day, found several small bones. Not exactly what you should expect for a $28 entree. I guess that's my concern overall, the pricey seafood. Service was good and prompt. We will probably return next year. Having Open Table reservations are definitely a plus in the busy season."

"Ate there on a Saturday night. Started with the oyster sampler. It was excellent. Fresh, cold and clean. Don't expect Apalachicola's here, these are cold water oysters primarily from the New England coast. Manhattan Chowder was decent but not exceptional. My wife had the crab cakes for entree and they were fantastic. All crab, no filler. I had the Sautéed Maine Scallops, and was a little concerned when they were presented in a brown sauce. Turned out that the sauce was fantastic, and did not detract from the delicate flavor of the scallops. Creme Brûlée for dessert was standard fare, nothing to crow about, but decent. Even had a selection of port for dessert."

"It was a very nice dinning experience. The portions are perfect size. We had the scallops and grouper and both were excellent. The meal was topped off with a piece of key lime pie, the best I have ever had and I love it. Thus, I have tried many pieces of key lime over the years."

"The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared, arriving hot but not dry or overcooked. The restaurant is in a shopping center, not easy to find, but worth the effort. The outdoor dining gives you a view of the walkway at the shopping center, so no scenic views, but very pleasant overall."

"A great find for the Ft. Myers area. Service was great, food really tasty and fresh, ambiance very likable and they cater to food requests due to food sensitivities or dislikes. Also they have cooked veggie selections, not easy to find in restaurants in this area. Everyone was happy, older kids to Granma! We will make this a definite dinner stop when visiting the Ft. Myers area!"

"Service staff were great. Menu was good, food was ok, but way over priced for the location,(mall), and quantity. Come on, $8.95 for four 26/30 size shrimp??, and $29.99 for two 4oz lobster tails.......don't forget the "asparagus".....two stalks."

"Our server was very attentive. However the food preparation took, what we considered, an excessively long time. Even preparing food from "scratch," 48 minutes from order in to arrival at table was too long. BUT the food was excellent.We had trouble finding the restaurant, even with our reliable GPS. "Blue Point" is buried in a rather large shopping plaza. After our second try to located it, we called and the fellow that answered gave gave use excellent directions. However, the matre'd was less than understanding about our difficulty in locating the restaurant and our resulting late arrival for our reservation. But he reluctantly seated us. Overall, very good for a "chain" restaurant."

"Blue Pointe Oyster Bar was unknown to me. We went to a fundraiser and won a $50 gift certificate to this restaurant. We ended up taking 2 friends and spending $150, so I think the restaurant was rewarded for their community service action. We had such a great evening that we all plan to return with other friends."

"Excellent seafood, my mother ordered the blue point oysters and said they were the best she'd ever had. Th service was excellent, my mahi mahi was succulent, and they offered a decent selection of wines by the glass with either a 5 or 8 ounce pour. We will be back."
