"Food was quite good! a bit pricey. Since it was mother's day evening, it was still a bit crowed with groups and tumult....not an ideal time but where is on mother's day. The plateau was very good as were chopped salad and crab cakes. For the price I would think that the entree should be served with a side."

"Service always starts out excellent then tapers off. Once you order, youre original waiter becomes scarce and you must rely on others for drinks etc. Second time this happened so waiter gets smaller tip. Bread is also slow coming and youre told its in the oven but could be faster.
Ceasar salad good. Jumbalya disappointing bc was looking forward to shrimp etc in a nice sauce over rice. Instead it looked and tasyed like a ball of mush. Everything semed blended together?? Taste was ok but Wouldnt get again. Mom got lobster pot pie. Again taste was good but should be called lobster soup with a crust bc its not pie all liquid."

"Friendly and attentive service but the food is just average.
The hummus is tasty. The gumbo, church salad, and prime rib were good.
Asked for Ranch dressing on the wedge salad. Globs of dressing on the lettuce and the dressing tasted mostly of mayonnaise. They forgot to add the tomato and bacon to the salad.
The lobster pot pie wasn't very flavorful and it was like eating a soup topped with pastry. The pastry was light but that was probably the best part about it. The sauce was broth based with lots of diced carrots. The dish also included some small lobster pieces (looked like mostly claw meat) and some peas. It was definitely not worth $30."

"We were seated right on time. The wait staff were knowledgeable and very attentive. The ambiance was great as usual, the stained glass windows add a nice touch. Three of us had appetizers and entrees, all of which were excellent. A terrific dining experience, not to be missed when you are in the New Hope area."

"After hearing glowing reviews about Marsha Brown's in New Hope, PA, we decided to give it a try. The steaks had a peculiar smell, looked unappealing and were extremely salty, despited ordering without salt. The same for the spinach, way too salty. The sweet potato casserole was cloyingly sweet. For the high cost, we were expecting better."

"We have been going to Marsha browns for years. Over the past two years we have seen a major decline. Our service was terrible this visit. Waiting a long time between courses and for the check. Food was ok, but not worth the price. We will not be returning."

"we have been to Marsha Brown several times. the food was good on average but some items were not good and not as good as it has been in the past. for example - veggie side dish was lukewarm on delivery. the service was good but food just didn't justify the cost. goto ruth's chris or elsewhere for a high end dining experience that has great food and service. disappointing."

"Other than awesome? The atmosphere and the stained glass windows from it formerly being a church was charming. The food was simply amazing. The cut and cook of the steaks were perfect, the vegetables were fresh and had snap and the sweet potato casserole was more dessert than a side. The wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the history of Marsha Brown. We did partake in the special of the evening, a Manhattan cut in an Au Poivre, and it exceeded expectations. Chef Caleb recieved high marks from everyone at the table. I highly recommend Marsha Brown's to anyone who isn't afraid to spend a little more to get a lot of flavor."

"I was especially impressed with the teamwork exhibited at our most recent visit. We ate in the choir loft area (the top floor). We had asked to be there because we felt it would be quieter than it would be on the main (second) floor, and we were right.
We were seated in a small niche next to a stained glass window. Service was extraordinary! Our orders came right, were delivered to the correct person, even though they were delivered by a person who had not taken the orders. That means that communication among the staff was excellent.
Any requests were fulfilled quickly.
Our only quibble was that, on this particular visit, the bread was not as hot as it had been at previous visits. Otherwise, this was flawless! Highly recommended!"

"Our waiter, Adrian, was both knowledgeable and charming. He answered all of our questions fully to include our questions about the history of the restaurant. The entire wait staff performed exceptionally well and were very attentive to our requests. While the environment was loud, the overall decor and design was fabulous and really made for a unique dining experience. While all the food was delicious, highly recommend the crab cheesecake and the chopped salad, as both are exquisite!"

"We dined here pre theater and arrived at 5:30 P.M. Not bust at this time, so service was attentive but not overbearing. On the recommendation of the waiter, against my better judgement I ordered the mussels in barbeque sauce. First, I inquired about the sauce as it sounded unappetizing with mussels. I was assured this was not regular barbeque sauce from a jar. Well, yes it was. Terrible. The salad appetizers were very good, the jambalaya was very good but the recommendation for the mussels was way off base. Will not be returning."

"I heard so many good things about this restaurant and when I went there I was completely disappointed and it I would have rather Ian at a diner then have eaten here. The food tasted so heavy like there was too much cornstarch in the food. "Went to Marsha Brown for the first time last Friday and my girlfriend and I both loved it. The fact that it's a converted church gives the place a really cool vibe to begin with. The food was simply outstanding. The crab cheesecake, jambalaya, and eggplant ophelia were all fantastic. And then we got the Sweet Potato Casserole. Let me tell you, we would go back for that dish alone. It was great as a side, but then our outstanding waiter suggested adding some vanilla ice cream when we thought we couldn't finish it. It blew our minds how good that combo was. Wow. Waitstaff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive as well. We cannot wait to come back here soon with more of our friends/family."

"Absolutely love the food and it is a beautiful restaurant. Only downside is that due to it being in a church, it is incredibly loud. (The food makes up for the noise.)Their Crab cheesecake is simply amazing."

"Beautiful restaurant! We were told that it used to be a church- and it sure looks like one. The ambiance was so stunning with the stained glass windows and very high vaulted ceiling. The bar looked very inviting too. The service was impecable and the food was excellent. What a lovely meal!"
