"Great food and service. Sat outside under the awning with a nice breeze and great view of the Maumee River and downtown. Toledo. Only thing I was disappointed about was the menu for Father's Day . The really needed to have some special menu for this day. It was a Sunday noon brunch and no crab legs. They said they are on the dinner menu?? We ordered, mmmmm they were a treat for me and my dad. Overall, great place to eat and great crest hot bread."

"Man does not live on bread alone? At the Real Seafood company, one could! The bread is sooooo good. It melts in your mouth. Always so hot and fresh, with a fresh plate of butter ready to spread.
The seafood choices is enough to satisfy every single taste, and even the non seafarers got something. The land-lubbers got chicken alfredo, steak, and the younger one got a burger. All the plates were clean...
We loved loved loved the edamame appetizer! We'd get that again, for sure!!
6 guests, 6 happy people with their meals.
Not one thing bad to say. We asked for inside, because of the "chance of rain" that night. We got an inside table, but still able to see the river view. Win/Win!"

"We had a reservation for 5:30 so we were the only ones in our server's section. Our server seemed like he would have liked to be anywhere but there. First the help at the hostess stand were very cheerful and nice. Also the person who showed us to our table was great, we later saw her waiting tables and wished she was our server! We had a couple of drinks then ordered our meal. The main meal was brought out 2 mins after our salads and to top it off some of the order was wrong. The server told us as he put our food down that he knew some of the order was wrong and sorry it came out so fast!! If you knew it before it was served why would you serve it. We were debating between here or Ciao, next time Ciaos."

"What more can I say then WOW! The dining room is beautiful and the view is great outdoors as well. Service was excellent and our Server was very knowledgeable, honest, and quick to take care of our table. Food was excelelnt and delicious. I was highly pleased and will be back again. To some the prices might seem a little pricey, but trust me when I say this. The price is excellent for the quantity and quality of food you get. This is a classy restaurant with classy employees and is a great experience. Well done Real Seafood!"

"For my husband's 50th birthday, I planned to take him to Cabela's and had to drive to Toledo to do so as we do not have these places in Akron Ohio. Out of curiosity, I did a Google search for seafood restaurants in the area and found the Real Seafood Co., Once we got there, I was very surprised to see that not only was it much nicer than I had thought, but they have a birthday special that was out of this world. Additionally, the food and service were also amazing!! I have already told my husband that this is were I'd like to go for my birthday :) We will definitely be back!!!!"

"My wife and I took our son to the restaurant for his 22nd birthday. We have been there many times for a variety of occasions and really enjoy the restaurant. Ashley, our server, was outstanding and several of her recommendations (wine and sides) were undertaken. The food was very good and we all had something different. Our son had the filet; my wife, the dover sole and I had the oyster sample platter and the pork chops. The oysters could have been loosened from the shell. Some were a little stuck. Otherwise, always a great experience."

"We have dined at the Real Seafood for a number of years - 2 or 3 times a year - so we are not "regulars". (Nowhere are we "regulars".) That said, When we are seeking something special with excellent service, food, and atmosphere, our first choice in Toledo is the Real Seafood. "We took my mother out for for her birthday. She ordered lobster, I ordered the flounder, my wife had the sole. The food was very good and I would say fairly priced. Expect about $45-$55 per person if you are ordering an appetizer, a glass of wine or beer, and dessert. I ordered the mussels for an appetizer and was expecting about 6-10. There was at least 15 and probably more. What really made the evening special was the service. It was well balanced, not hanging over you like a buzzard and not leaving you hanging like so many restaurants."

"Food was outstanding as usual but I was disappointed in the management that evening. On their menu the advertise a second lobster tail for $19.99 and wished to add a tail to my $50 crab legs but was informed by the server the kitchen could not honor that deal for crab legs only as a second tail option, even though the crab legs cost more. They wanted to charge for a second meal which seemed a little over the top. Then service was very slow, melted butter served with the meal was not enough for the whole meal and the server never returned to offer any assistance. Bread was extremely slow coming to the table and when we requested a refill it came at the end of the meal. No manager ever even offered an explanation or assistance."

"My grilled swordfish was delicious. It was prepared perfectly. My wife had the whitefish and she thought that it was OK but she was disappointed. It was a slow night so the service was good. Ashley was our server and even though she was training we were very pleased with her service. We had a drink in the bar before dinner and the bartender, Seth, was very good."

"From okay 5 years ago to excellent today. The dining experience was wonderful. The waitress was very informative and went the extra distance to ensure all of us in our party was tended to and all concerns were addressed in a very professional manner. The food was excellent with generous portions. The fare selection was accommodating to all with everyone in the party remarking favorably to the dining experience. No waiting and no pressure. I can not remember having a better dining experience anywhere. The Real Seafood is the place to go in Toledo. Perfecto!"

"Our food was outstanding!! We have been going there for years!! Love it for my birthday I received 50% of my food bill, that was a great gift to me. We sat up stairs for the first time and it was a little bit to warm, but we managed."

"we love real seafood and go here for special occasions. this time however the service was very poor. our waitress seemed distracted and stopped by once, before i had even taken a bite, and then not again until my husband was finally able to track her down at the end of our meal. we were both out of water. at this caliber of restaurant we expect good serivce."

"I just picked this resturant from the internet. My daughter and I were outdone. Everything was fantastic. The server was outstanding, choosing a wine for me and a non alcoholic drink for my daughter. The seafood was to die for. Even though I don't live in Ohio, I will travel from Michigan again, just for this resturant. One of my new found favorite seafood resturants."

"We celebrated my husband's birthday at the Real Seafood. Our server was very attentive, but not overbearing. The calamari with peppers was yummy. Our Manhattans could have been better. We enjoyed the broiled scallops and steamed spinach. The cole slaw was outstanding. Creme brulee with fresh fruit was to die for. We will be back!"

"This is always one of our favorite restaurants in the area. There is only one unfortunate thing: for a restaurant that pretends to be upscale and on the pricy side, the plastic tablecloth does not help. A restaurant of that caliber should NEVER have plastic tablecloths--it cheapens the entire dining exprience which, as always, was fantastic."
