"I was amazed at the depth and the breadth of culinary/dining information our waiter possessed. We couldn't have had a better dinner or interaction with our server. Excellent recommendations and an extremely personable style characterize our visit recently to Real Seafood in Ann Arbor with Pat Walker. Each individual in our group had their expectations exceeded and we all look forward to continuing to visit Mr. Walker at Real Seafood. Tremendous thanks to the additional staff who made our dining experience unparalleled. Look forward to the new reservations. Hope to see you again before you're famous Patrick, cheers."

"We have been eating at Real Seafood for...thirty years, it is a favorite among family and friends. They have done a lot of remodeling and are still making changes, so I sure they will make it even better, if that is possible. Noise level in the back of the restaurant is a little too much in the evening, if you want conversation without raising your voice, youu may want to sit toward front or in the atrium."

"Took my wife and mother there for mothers day. Prices were reasonable, and the food was outstanding. The Seafood Alfredo was loaded with seafood, and was delicious. My wife ordered the Jambalaya which she thoroughly enjoyed and my mother ordered the Stuffed Flounder which she loved. I would highly recommend this restaurant based off our experience. Mackenzie, our waitress was amazing. She was quick, friendly, and helpful. She even reserved us a table at La Doce Vita, the dessert/cigar bar across the street, for us."

"As usual, the food was great and the service excellent. But it's been a long time since I was in such a noisy restaurant for dinner. And in the many times I've been to Real Seafood, this was the loudest ever. The problem was mostly, but not entirely, a nearby table with four couples. They obviously had started the evening with several rounds of drinks. Not sure what the Restaurant Owner's Manual says about how to quiet down a noisy group of Customers Can Do No Wrong, but you should revisit the strategies. That table and a couple of other runners-up made it almost literally impossible to carry on a conversation at our table."

"I was somewhat disappointed with your last visit. Food was over cooked and service was a bit slow. We have been to Real Seafood several times over the years and we will probably go again, but will not be rushing back. We use to call the it Real Slowfood and now I remember why!"

"One goes to the Real Seafood for fresh fish and is rarely disappointed. The bread is always very good also and the salads and sides are tried and true. Almost comfort food but better than that.

"The fact that there were only two fresh fish selections available, one of which (Himachi?) was not even on the menu, was a little diappointing for a "seafood" restaurant.
The mussels were excellent, however. the Himachi was OK, but the Asian sauce was not as good as I have had at Mitchell's or Bonefish.
We had a reservation and were seated in the hot sun by a large garage door opening. I took my daughter there to celebrate her graduation from U of M and thought it would have been better if the hostess had asked where we would prefer to sit before sticking us where she did. The waitress did allow us to swtich tables, so all worked out in the end."

"Our family finally tried Real Seafood during graduation after 4 years at UM and passing by on numerous walks. Should have come earlier. We had an outstanding time. Food was great, my wife loved the whitefish with cherries and the stuffied sole was also a good choice. Interesting ambience; can sit outside or inside away from the traffic. Worth trying"

"Upon requesting a reservation for our special celebration I specifically stated online and over the phone the need for us to be put in an area that was handicap accessible. When we arrived at the restaurant in Ann Arbor we were put in a corner, directly across the coffee and cash register which was not what I would call handicap accessible. The tables nearby where too close to one another, and it was hard for my 14 year old son to get comfortable. Not to mention, another party of two was seated directly behind my 14 year old son which made it even more confined. Adequate room, seating and comfort for individuals with disabilities is something we did not experience at our family celebration."

Sauce as a soup,it was so good. The Katama raw oyster were awesome. Briny and fresh.
The wheat rolls they serve are to die for. My husband ordered a Bourbon Old Fashion that was good and I had the Special Seafood Bloody Mary and was abit disappointed.
I had read a review that claimed the Bloody Marys were awesome I disagree.
We had a wonderful dinner and we will be returning soon. Service was spot on."

"All in all it was a nice experience. Food was great. Our Server was outstanding. The only problem is that the location of the table was awkward. Felt like the servers were standing at our table the entire time due to the location of the table to their computer for orders. One time, I actually had one of their behind in my face due to several of them at the station at the same time and there was no room. And then she was almost on my lap, when someone tried walking through. Uncomfortable to say the least. As well, table too small for 4 people with all of our entress, bread plates,bread basket, water glasses, drinks and the size of the plates. Felt like we were all trying to combine plates so we could fit everything."

"They have a great birthday deal - 50% off your food if your party is 2 people (30% off if there are 3 etc) and a free dessert! The crab cake appetizer was excellent - crispy outside, moist inside. The cioppino entree was quite large and also delicious and a bit spicy. I recommend sitting in the front near the windows (patio in the summer) for people watching - the back of the restaurant is a little dull. They have pretty fancy tablet computer menus. I thought our server was a little cold - she looked sort of upset when I asked where the fish came from - it wasn't a sustainable location so I didn't order it."

"I was unable to express my dissatisfaction at the time of dining (to avoid ruining a special occasion) so I decided to post a review. Course-by-course: Our appetizer (Seafood and Artichoke Dip) appeared to be burnt - which hindered its presentation, although it tasted fine. I am a big fan of their house salad, but yesterday the salad tasted extremely bitter - almost as if the lettuce hadn't been thoroughly washed. Finally, I ventured to try the seafood alfredo, which tasted pretty bland and I was especially turned off by the appearance of the seafood (cooked?). We are regulars at Real Seafood Company (a favorite of ours in fact), but the food on this particular day was very disappointing. Hoping they redeem themselves in the future."
