"Appetizers were great. Waitress recommended asiago cheese appetizer - outstanding! However, I don't drink much, but decided to splurge and have a Long Island iced tea. Although the taste was good, it was very weak. I mentioned it to the waitress, asked her to order another, but to tell the bartender it was weak. Second was the same. Don't waste your money on that drink. My friends said their Italian margarita was very good (but I don't care for tequila)."

"My husband and I dined here for the first time and I definitely recommend this place! We ate outside and it was so nice by the river! A must go to place!!!! Food was EXCELLENT, our waitress was awesome, prices were good, and ambience was lovely!"

"The food and service were excellent. Zias went on our rotation for a restaurant we will frequent often. What was really nice was the fact that the music level was appropriate for the type of restaurant and low enough to allow conversation to be heard at our table. Nothing worse than not being able to hear your company with blaring rock and roll in the background. Good food and service cannot make up for loud music."

"Three of us were in town for a Girls Weekend and discovered Zia's on the Docks. What a find!! Wish we had one closer to home! Food was fabulous; service very attentive. We were stuffed but were tempted by the desserts and opted to take them back to our hotel. What a surprise, when our server brought the desserts all bagged up and said, "The manager was disappointed by the appearance of the desserts. There's nothing wrong with them, they're still good, they just don't look as nice as they would if served here .... so they are on the house." We will remember Zia's to all of our friends, and every time we return to Toledo!!"

"I brought my elderly mother and her best friend to celebrate the day. They loved the ambiance and atmosphere. Food was pleasing and flavorful without being salty, which was their concern. Menu options were plentiful. Service started off wonderful, but as soon as a few more guests arrived it declined more than expected, especially as I made a reservation.
It was a nice place for the occasion, but likely would not go regularly as service declined as the meals went on.."

"What has happened to zia's?? We had reservations at 4 ( it was Mother's Day but we were celebrating my husbands birthday,2 of us.) We were seated immediately, and that's where service ended.. It took forever for the waiter to take our drink order and even longer to bring it to us ( a draft beer and iced tea) then forever to bring the antipasti app ( which was very oily) at this point my husband just wanted to leave so we asked for our dinners to be boxed to go. Pizza was burnt but my dinner was fine. The place was not packed not even fully seated. New chef? Management? What happened?"

"It was Mother's Day and our 7 th anniversary. We decided to take our sons with us (2 and 3 years old). I was not sure how it would go, but the staff was very good with the boys, food came out quickly, food was good and when my son broke a glass they cleaned it up quickly without making a big deal about it. My only complaint is that I requested a table by the window when I made our reservations, so we could see the river and they did not meet that request. We have never had a bad meal here and will definitely continue to go back. By the way, my husband loves the pizza!"

"WE had a Great time. Decided it was easier to visit with mom if we were't stuck in the kitchen cooking. So we let Zia's do it for us!!! We had a 4 pm reservation and our table was ready right when we got there. The food was excellent and we enoyed a picher of Sangria!!! Our mom had a really nice Mothers Day. I only wish the weather would havebeen better so we could have walked along the river..."

"Our waiter had two many large parties to wait on. We had to wait a long time for our salads to arrive and were told to anticipate they may arrive after our main course. We had to ask repeatedly for items (I.e. three times or more for refills on our soda or for extra dressing). No one from management stopped by to ask how our experience was, probably because they new the service was poor."

"Visited for dinner and got to spend a little time at the bar until a friend arrived. The kitchen staff were friendly and had a moment to chat as they pulled pizzas from the ovens and prepared salads - something interesting to watch along with the sports on screens. There was a pizza special for groups. The dining area was reasonably quiet and comfortable with a great view of the river including lights at night. The Italian decor included bookshelves! Pasta dishes were fantastic, with great service. Will definitely visit again if in Toledo."

"Enjoyable dinner with good friends. Party was seated next to exit doors to the patio. On this date the temp. was cold with high winds. On 3 occasions the doors were opened to allow access from the outside. After the 3rd time asking, we were moved and all went well from that point on. "Our first visit to Zia's... The waitress was very welcoming, she stayed on top of our drinks and did a nice job with our order. The food was fantastic! Huge portions, hot and delicious. Will definitely recommend to others."

"Food was great except one entree was quite spicy though no mention made in description of it on the menu! Looked like other tables had good service. We did not. Waited 15 minutes to get our wine and then after 10 minutes had to ask a passing server for the bread our server said was coming "right out" when he brought our wine! Salads came out slow too. When we commented on the spiciness of the chicken, they pleasantly offered to make another & it was great! But it took over 20 minutes. If you do not to get our server & you don't mind unexpected spiciness in your food & you don't sit by the drafty windows, you truly will enjoy your dinner. We would definitely go back."

"Zia's -Toledo was wonderful! The location is right across the downtown skyline-on the other side of the river, which made for a beautiful view. The service was excellent! My server definitely earned the 50% tip. Great for a romantic evening. Food selection was decent and the wine list was great. Scotch selection was limited to house/table scotch. The seating was a tad crammed but the set up was appealing and intimate. I will be back soon! I'd go here over Olive Garden or any other Italian spot."

"We were running late and had to wait for our table...no fault of Zia's as their policy is to hold the table for 15" past the reservation time. Service was slow as their seemd to be a shortage of wait staff for Saturday night in Toledo, they got slammed. Our gal had a table of eight business men who all wanted seperate checks (clowns!). She did the best she could to keep up. We had four people...one check. We enjoyed our evening and would return."

"I took my wife to Zia's for Valentine's Day, and made an earlier reservation at 5:45. The place was not busy at all at this time (it was still early), but when we checked in with the hostess, she told us in a very impolite tone, "Okay, you're gonna have to wait a minute because I'm only on the door, I'm not seating." I was stunned by this greeting on a special night, but I didn't say anything since I was with my wife.
Once we were seated, everything got better. Our waitress was very friendly, always smiling, and very helpful. The food was AMAZING! I had veal parmigiano and my wife had the sirloin.
Again, both meals were excellent! The atmosphere is also very appropriate and quite romantic. A+ across the board except for the hostess."
