"We enjoy American Grill for lunch and are lucky to have it as there are few places to go in the area. The service is excellent: professional, friendly, attentive, and not intrustive at all, and the food is very good. A very reliable go-to spot!"

"Well, except for the waiter spraying soda water all over one of my guests it was fine. The bottle must have been shaken so that when he opened it right in front of her face she got the brunt of the spray.. the lady next to her only residual spray. Fortunately they would good sports and laughed it off..."

"Although a typical hotel restaurant, it was a good experience with regard to food and service. My wife and I frequent this restaurant before attending various Smithsonian seminars. It is always a dependable and pleasant restaurant."

"The food was okay but the service was very slow and the waiters seem to be irritated that they were busy. I would think that in a time of recession, they would appreciate the business. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable."

"The food and setting were pleasant but the wait staff seemed unnecessarily dismissive when we declined to order dessert after requesting dessert menus. The staff at the entrance were friendly and solicitous but perhaps a little uncertain as to what to do.

The restaurant is convenient to many nearby office buildings. The prices were about what one would expect at a hotel restaurant."

"The American Sea Grill has great atmophere, a great and responsive staff and excellent food with a fantastic presentation - like a surprise on each plate - which more than makes of for it's somewhat limited menu. The duck egg rolls are just heavenly with a complex delicious sauce- excellent!! I can't wait to go back!"
