"Took my mother to Sam's this year for Mother's Day brunch and it was fantastic. Have been there many times and it did not disappoint. Had a Monte Cristo sandwich which knocked me out. Served on cinnamon coated French toast, the whiskey syrup was incredible and complimented the turkey and ham perfectly. Topped off with a Mimosa the meal was 100%. Will return not only for a brunch for dinner as well, which I have sampled and heartily recommend. Keep up the good work Sam's and thanks for making Mother's Day so nice for us."

"We ate at Sam Miller's before going to a concert. Servie was very good. We were not rushed, and our meals were excellent. Crab Cakes exceptional! We shall return."

"My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Sam Miller, the service was great and the food was delectable. We ordered off of the 2013 Restaurant Week menu choices and were very pleased with the food quality. The Triple Chocolate Tower was good but I was expecting great, but overall it was a very good dining experience and the service was top notch."

"Considering Sam Millers is supposed to be an upscale restaurant I was highly disappointed. My steak was extremely dry and the crab dip didn't have an ounce of crab in it. When the waitress asked how was everything my guest stated her medium steak was over cooked & the waitress stated that's how the chef cooks his medium steaks. She didn't ask if they could make a new one or try to satisfy her in any way. When we first arrived we asked if there was any specials or specialty drinks and our waitress said no. However, while I was sittn facing the chalkboard I noticed specials written out for happy hour & it was well before the ending time when we asked. Needless to say we were not pleased and will not be returning!"

"We enjoyed thoroughly during restaurant week. Everything was just right! The food was an absolute delight and our server was friendly and attentive. There was a nice crowd but not packed. It was a mature atmosphere but not at all stuffy. We enjoyed half shelled oysters, bacon covered shrimp, Maine Sampler, Surf and Turf (crab cakes are truly special!) we will definitely visit again soon!"

"Oh so delicious! We were seated right at the time of our reservation. The waitress was very knowledgable of the menu and wine list. Food was delivered to the table in a timely manner, but without any rush. The food was very well prepared. My tenderloin was cooked exactly as ordered, and the crab meat was more than I usual expect with an "Oscar" addition to my beef. Also, the presentation of the meal was very good. The desert I chose was very good, but not quite as good as the great appetizer and entrée. It was meant to be a special night, and the staff and food at Sam Miller's really made it feel special."

"I had a delicious Tuna steak and my date had seafood pasta. The dishes were great and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. I'd definitely order the tuna steak again, even if their crab cakes are supposed to be best in town."

"I was looking for a place to take my mom on Easter for Bunch. The food was awewome. I had the Crab Benedict which wasn't your standard poached eggs on an english muffin. Chef Rhian made it so much better! Crab meat on a croissant topped with poached eggs and hollandaise. Mom had the waffle with Honey Butter and Whiskey Syrup. She absolutely loved it. We had to try the spiced apples...oh to die for! Then there was the Bloody Mary Bar with all the fixins for your signature Mary with high end vodka choices. Great fun and great food! Will be going to Sam's for brunch again soon!"

"I went to a birthday dinner with a friend. Great food, good music coming from club next door, and excellent service. We had Chicken Oscar with asparagus - quite tasting. I will be back!"

"Our party was early for our reservation so we sat at the bar while we waited. The bartender was great and tried to make a drink for me that was very uncommon. He made it several different times for me to try and finally came very close to what I remember the drink tasting like. The food was good, but not great. My boyfriend and I got hamburgers that were a little dry and overdone, but they were okay taste-wise. I got a cup of the crab soup that was very good...some of the best I've had around Richmond. Our friends seemed to enjoy what they ordered as well. We would definitely return, but I would probably spend more time in the bar!"

"We found Sam Miller's on Yelp while searching for a Richmond restaurant prior to a show when our "first choice" was booked. We found the OpenTable reservation system to be fantastic (first time we used it). Sam Miller's was awesome, and we'll be back. I can only report on the Seafood Alfredo as that's what both my wife and I orders, and it was delicious. As was the Spinach Salad. It wasn't real busy (a Thursday nite), so it was nice and quiet. Very nice (fancier that we usually go), and prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent, and we will be back!"

"The food was very good. Scallops and tuna appetizers excellent. Entree food temperature could have been warmer. My husband advised his fillet mignon was not as tender as expected. The bread pudding was exceptionally good! I would go back when visiting Richmond."

"Our server was impersonable, did not bring us bread for the soup until I asked for it after the soup. He said they were out of bread and they were baking it, got the bread and it was cold, dry, and stale.
All the servers there actually impersonable. No smiles on faces, didn't want to be there.
Stuffed flounder and she crab soup was excellent."
