Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Landmark in Greenwood Village
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different sytles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun!

"The service could be better but overall the food is outstanding and the ambience is perfect. I'm from Hawai'i and know what good sushi is from horrible artificial sushi. If you are looking for a traditional sushi place, this place is not for you. The food here is HAPA; what we in Hawai'i call a fine blend of Asian and Western Culture. The sushi here is creative, ranging from beginner rolls to Hapa Originals, and much more. The Kalua Pork bowl reminded me of Lua'us back home! I recommend this restaurant for the adventurers to those who don't lead off the path. Expect a relaxing time, I spent almost 2 hours there, don't forget dessert (Mochi Ice cream)!"

"Hapa has become one of our favorite end of the week rewards. Our favorite place to sit is in the comfy lounge/bar. The bartending staff are knowledgeable, fun, and create a nice dining environment. "We usually frequent the Hapa locations in Boulder, but met folks in Greenwood Village this time. The Greenwood Village location is HUGE in comparison to the Boulder Pearl street location. Food is consistently good and our server was attentive, filling beverages when they needed to be and checking in when necessary. I would definitely go to the Greenwood Village location with a larger group due to the large dining space, but would feel limited by this in the Boulder locations."

"The bar area seemed rather small, but I didn't hang out over there... it just looked cramped. Otherwise, this was my first time at Hapa and I loved it!!! I brought my wife there for her birthday and we had a fantastic time! The sushi was amazing, the service was great and the Hapa beer was pretty good too! I don't have enough time right now to tell you how great everything was on an individual level, just go here and eat!!!!"

"It's always too loud to really enjoy conversation, but the food is good. I had forgotten my ID and the waitress kept apologizing about not being able to serve me. I was fine with it; it was my fault for not having my ID on me. I think one apology would have been ok. The food is always great at Hapa. We always spend too much money, but happily do it.
The calamari is our favorite. I don't love the dipping sauce, but the calamari itself is tasty and divine."

"Consistently good food and service in the burbs. This visit we sat at the sushi bar and had exceptional service from the sushi chef "J". The fish was fresh, well prepared, and nicely presented. We felt like "J" really wanted us to have a great meal. In addition, we were accompanied by one of our children. The waiter and "j" went out of their way to talk to her, mke sure she hd a good time, and overall make her feel special. after all, she was the only minor in the restaurant."

"Always fun, went with another couple and had a great time. I am a huge Hapa fan for their unique rolls, sauces, and presentation. This time, the bonus was service, dude was fantastic...he was funny, prompt, and very courteous. Wish I remembered his name as I'd definitely recommend him.

"Hapa called first thing in the morning to confirm our reservation which was a pleasent suprise. We arrived earlier than expected and they were able to sear us immediately. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent as always. Highly recommend Hapa and Open Table."

"Not that I needed more flowers than I had already gotten this valentines day, but I loved that they gave me a rose as we left. The food was amazing as always & we didn't wait long at all for food or service. I prefer this location over cherry creek due to the service."

"We really enjoyed the food and it is a very nice place, but it was hard to judge the ambiance, as we were stuck in a corner along with the other non-couples. Oh well, it was Valentine's Day, so I guess they didn't want any non-couples out in the main room. It was still a really wonderful dinner."

"Went on a Saturday night at 7:00 and the place was packed, loud and hopping with a young vibrant croud. Service suffered a bit but was acceptable. Food was great. Sushi was fresh and rolls were fun and creative. Would love to go back when they are not so busy and the place isn't so loud."

"We were quite impressed with the quality of the food. Server was efficient, but a bit robotic. The entry way was a little tough to navigate. We were glad to have had a reservation, as the wait was over an hour on Friday night. Appetizers and drinks a bit spends, but very good. We'll come back and just order a bit more of the lesser priced options."
