Perry's - Embarcadero
Perry's on the Embarcadero is the newest outpost of the Union Street original, now in it's 40th year. Perry's has become a San Francisco institution, known for its classic American food, its warm personable service and a fun, bustling bar. Perry's on the Embarcadero opens for breakfast early and the bar is open late, serving drinks and snacks until midnight Thursday through Saturday. Perry's signature dishes include French onion soup, traditional cobb salad, petrale sole meuniere, a selection of prime steaks and of course, the renowned hamburger. Perry's also serves a fantastic weekend brunch, with offerings such as eggs benedict and blackstone, corned beef hash and challah French toast. The interior features a long mahogany bar with room for 20, seating for 130 guests in the main dining room and a private dining room which can accommodate 40. The restaurant also offers outdoor cafe dining on Steuart Street and Embarcadero patio seating, boasting breathtaking views of the Bay.

"There is something on the menu for everyone. Try it for a lunch with co-workers if your in the area. Make a reservation if your going for lunch. Service can lack in the noon hour because they get so busy."

"Visit to SF from out of town. My sister & I wanted to see the Bay Bridge lights as I saw Perry's listed as a "great spot to view". Made early on-line reservations, then realized that with the time change it would not be dark when we were dining, so called & changed-they accommodated for a later time on a Friday night. Then running late due to traffic, called & they accommodated AGAIN. Got there, noticed an empty table by the window, asked if we could sit there-the head waiter said "certainly, follow me". Food was delicious with ample portions (I had the half chicken breast, sister had the pasta). Finished up wine & dessert while watching the lights of the bridge. Awesome. Prices decent for SF too. Minor issue: tables are close together."

"Even though food was good - was disappointed by. hostess attitude. 2 weeks in advance requested bridge view. Hostess tried to stick us in a corner with absolutely no view of the bridge. She could tell we weren't the idiots she was treating us like and we were about to leave. We asked about a table outside and she accomodated that."

"Perry's is a great place for the business lunch with a moderate price tag. It's not going to bowl anyone over with its cuisine or ambiance, but it serves delicious food at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere. I treat it as my go-to place for those business occasions when places like Boulevard or One Market would be over the top. It also provides handy valet parking, so if your guests are coming by car from out of town it's an easy place to meet for lunch just off the Embarcadero."

"Wholesome food. It is nice to find a menu where my entire family found something they actually liked and ate everything. Lamb shanks, Ahi tuna burger, chicken and biscuits, fish entree. Food you might not be inclined to make at home. Service is great, food is great. This is the third time we have eaten at Perrys and everything is consistent! Expect full restaurant once the Bay Bridge light show begins."

"Having been to Perry's for lunch previously, we decided to book a dinner reservation. We tried Perry's Sunday Night Lobster Dinner. We requested a table by the window when making our reservatin through Open Table. We had the best view in the house along with a tremendous dinner, great service and a recommended wine pairing! Thanks Perry's for an outstanding evening!"
