Established in 2003 and under new ownership since March 2013, Luna Park is proud to be one of LA's' true neighborhood gems, with casually hip decor, a lively bar scene, and delicious moderately-priced cuisine. The menu, mostly American w/ French and Italian accents, features delicious ingredients presented in a way that is comforting and nourishing to the soul. We are proud to use locally sourced ingredients as much as possible, and our menu features a variety of gluten free and vegetarian friendly choices.
Luna Park is open for lunch daily and dinner nightly, with Happy Hour from 4 to 7pm weekdays and Late Nite Friday and Saturdays 10-11:30 PM 1/2 off drinks and pizzas.
"Luna Park put on a nice Mothers Day Brunch. Food was very good as was service. Restaurant is consistently good. Environment is good for casual dining with or without kids."

"Food is overpriced and mediocre. Came here for Sunday Brunch. I have no problem paying $15 for a burger and fries if its worth it, but that was far from the case at Luna Park. My fried egg sandwich (with a side salad consisting of spring mix and dressing) was also $15, and though it wasn't bad, no one should pay more than $6-7 for that kind of sandwich. They seem to have some good drink specials for brunch (sangria, bloody marys). Maybe come for the happy hour and drink specials, but you're better off spending your money dining elsewhere."

"The hostess is always good about offering one of the much desired booths. The food is always delicious. A manager always comes by to say "hi". The service sometimes slacks. I usually go in late so maybe that has something to do with that. The happy hour is a great value. Just don't order an espresso martini as your second drink (yuck)."

"Wonderful food, wonderful drinks, and a wonderful, fun place where the booths provide a nice degree of seclusion. My fiancee and I usually pair our favorite dish, the macaroni and cheese, with another (in this case, vegetable risotto and pepperoni pizza; we were a party of four). We haven't tried anything on the menu, but we've been here three or four times and such is our esteem of the place that we suspect that it's all reliably good. That said, we're sticking with macaroni and cheese and mojitos as our usual."

"I was a part of a party of three, one of whom I had just recently dined at Luna Park when it was under different management. She particularly enjoyed the ambiance and the music played during our luncheon transported her back to her youth. She truly enjoyed it. I thought that my meal was just fine, but I was a bit perturbed that at the conclusion of our mealt, our waiter, Andrew, seemed to be engaged in a vitally important conversation with the hostess. It took far too long for him to notice or acknowledge that we were awaiting the check. Other than that, I thought the experience was okay.
I believe that I'll be taking another business meeting there again soon, so I'll make my final decision on the restaruant at that time.
Thank"

"When one person's entree was not brought to the table with everyone else's, a server saw the problem unprompted, immediately remedied it then removed that entree from the bill without being asked to do so and without any complaints having been voiced. Such proactivity is rare. What might have been a minor negative was turned into a strong positive."

"Most dishes hit it out of the park here. Our server was awesome, super fun and attentive. The music was great too, but just a little loud if you have more than two. We only had 4, but it was a little tough to hear anyone who wasn't right by me."

"Excellent goat cheese fondue appetizer. Portions were a good size and food was good. Inside lighting was nice and servers were prompt and friendly. Above average experience, but not overly memorable."

"The Spring Risotto had a nice presentation and was quite good even though I found the artichokes a bit salty for my taste. I hope the new owners will take this opportunity to refresh and/or revamp the food menu."

"It was a cold rainy night, so no opportunity to rate outdoor dining. Indoors was so dark, we couldn't see the menu items without a keychain flashlight we happened to have. The mussels were flavorful and plentiful for 2 to share, the french fries, adequate. Pizza was good (took 2 slices home) and the small bottles of prosecco were just enough. We shared a dessert with our coffee and the bill came to $70 which was fair, for what was ordered. At one point, we asked a waiter to turn down the music as we couldn't hear ourselves talk - the volume was most annoying! We were friends who hadn't seen each other in a year and were anxious to talk and catch up; this was not the place in which to do it."

"Been here for dinner, which I found better. Just recently went for brunch. The bartender was great, he came around and refilled us when we bombarded him and did his best to keep us happy. Food was nowhere near impressive. We ordered a burger medium rare, a bit more on the rare side and received a barely seared, pre-packaged meat patty. Not ok.. maybe the chef just doesn't know what medium rare is, but that was seriously just seared. We were too busy talking and enjoying ourselves we picked around the rare meat and didn't send it back, but we let the bartender know he should talk to the chef about his inability to make a decent burger.
All in all, not too bad of a Sunday.. but i would recommend this more for dinner/drinks."

"Luna Park is a restaurant with an imagination. The decor is comfortable, yet sophisticated with vintage fixtures, booths made from old doors, lots of light and great interior colors. Lunch is divine. If you just want a delicious nibble, there are those, soups with depth and personality, and their salades are absolutely fresh and ample. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I've been to Luna Park many times since it opened. Everyone who goes there wants to return. It's wonderful. And remember, it's one of the few restaurants with booths."

"i love the ambiance of the restaurant. Although it was kind of loud- i had a hard time hearing my date. The food and drinks were really good though and will definitely be coming back next time. Service was also great! We were actually 1 hour late for our reservation so we had to move it back, but they were very accommodating and we were seated right away. It was a perfect Valentine's dinner date."

"Same as always what they have is great the service is like family. Great energy just wish they would add to the menu I love the food but I've had everything on the menu at least twice so I just hope they mix it up more often and put cushions on the seats."

"The ambiance wasn't great and we ate during LA restaurant week so I really liked the first course of goat cheese with apple and bread. It only included 2 courses and the third was extra. We chose to eliminate dessert though it sounded great. It wasn't the kind of restaurant I would recommend because a little too offbeat. Nothing really warm and cozy. I might change my mind if I ate there more often and loved the food."

"The prix fixe menu was really great - the fondue appetizer and the smores dessert came in really cool little heaters to keep everything warm. Also had the tuna poke which we enjoyed and the chips that came with it were crispy and tasty. The salmon was really good as was the risotto. The apple dessert was really good, but the caramel ice cream that came with it was completely flavorless. We also got a side of the mac and cheese - really tasty! It was a little loud, but not enough to keep from being able to hear your group. Unfortunately one person didn't quite understand that so for a portion of the meal my friend and I learned way too much about his personal life. So, dinner and an awkward show."

"We come here often and really like this place however our last visit involved poor, slow service and one of the entrees we ordered was not as good as it usually is. I think we'd have felt a bit better if management had comped our appetizer or an order of drinks. We'll certainly return but we hope this was just an anamolie. Don't let us down!"

"Fourth time I've eaten there in about four years, and every time it is...lackluster, uninspired, not memorable, and pretty devoid of flavor. This time, the artichoke appetizer was insanely oversalted, and my friend's salad barely had any dressing. The do it yourself graham cracker s'mores were good...but lots of dripping chocolate! Ugly annoying artwork there too."

"Definitely cute and a scene. On a scale of 1-5, food is maybe 3.5-4. When they are busy it can be slow service. Also, menu is heavy on appetizers, and a little thin on great entree options. Although I do come here, I never leave wow'ed. Good for small groups, and drinks and apps. Make a reservation before showing up."

"The food I ordered was way too salty for my taste. Even the vegetables. (I ordered 2 different dishes). It was also too dim. Service was good though. It was also a little pricey for me, so I would probably only go there occasionally."
