"My husband, daughter and son enjoyed a dinner on the deck at Jackson's. We were seated a few minutes prior to our reservation time and at the location that I asked for. The food was wonderful, the service was great. They were very busy that night however we did not feel rushed to leave our table for other guests arriving. It is simply a great place to celebrate a special occasion or to just enjoy a nice dinner out!"

"I had eaten lunch at Jackson's before, but this was my first brunch experience. I was impressed with the variety of food and the quality. The fish and flank steak were excellent, as were the vegetables. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, and will definitely come back. I thought the price was very reasonable."

"Jackson's Bistro has an impressive Sunday brunch. All of the regular breakfast items were available along with a carving station. It was a fresh seafood lover's dream...several kinds of fish, shrimp, and oysters on the half-shell. Our waiter, Maurice was great, even if he is a Dook fan."

"I have been to Jackson's before for cocktails and company based parties. Truly enjoyed the experiences but this time was the first time I had dinner there and it was one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of dining.
I and one of my guests had the Grouper Stack, the other had the scallops linguine and it was tremendously delicious. We also had the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Tomato Salad, Crab Ravioli. All so very good. Wonderful presentation of all dishes. As our waitress stated the corn emulsion was very tasty. Everything was light and every bite a joy.
Will definitely be back and refer others to Jacksons!!"

"The food was just ok. It wasn't bad, it just didn't do much for me or my wife. I wouldn't recommend going for the food. I would recommend going for the ambiance. Only if I were eating outside. It did seem to have a lot of energy all around the restaurant though. The service was just a bit slow too. Also, the outside chairs seemed a little on the cheap looking side."

"Jackson's seems to be very popular with the locals, which you should tell you something. The food is very good, including the sushi menu. The lobster bisque could be a meal- you will want to lick the bowl. The service is terrific. Freddie juggled our sushi/ regular menu orders so that everything came out at the same time. And the view. Sitting outside, looking at the water and the sunset, there isn't a more pleasant place to spend an evening. The staff is great and doesn't rush anyone. It is a little noisy- but that is because everyone is having a fabulous time. Still, the tables are spaced for privacy so you can enjoy your company. I would absolutely go back- again and again."

"Food was good but out waitress was nowhere to be found when we needed her. We had to ask another staff member to bring us our check after waiting to see if our waitress would even walk by (she never did) for over 15 minutes after we had finished our meal. "Went for brunch last Sunday. Selection and quality of buffet was quite good. Seafood, including boiled shrimp, sushi (rolls) and salmon, was complemented with carving and omelet stations. The usual eggs benedict, sausage, bacon French toast, etc. was also available. Pastries were tasty. Service was good. The only complaint we had was that the decaf coffee was extremely weak. Jackson's will also validate parking for two hours."

"We enjoyed our dinner. The sushi was really good and very reasonably priced. The only trouble was the weather! It began to rain heavily and we were seated outside on the patio. "Our local friend recommended this restaurant as it was very convenient to our hotel at the Marriott Waterside. We had a 730p reservation and was easily seated at 715p. It took about ten minutes to give our drink order as the server was still finalizing several other open tables. Then it took a good while to finally receive our drinks. Helpful hint: don't wait too long to get a new customer their drinks. It sets a bad tone for the rest of the dinner. Everything else worked normally. The food was pretty good and the prices were remarkably affordable for a waterfront dining establishment. The view of the bay at night is beautiful. I would come again."

"I took a group of out of towners there for a work dinner plus I had my 8 month old daughter with me and all were happy. We were quickly seated outside (per our request) and all was ideal. The focaccia bread served prior to our meal did not seem the freshest but, other than that, all was ideal. The food was great, service attentive, ambiance just right. Would go back again in a heart beat."

"The place was very nice. The food was a tad better than average. Drinks were a bit pricey so find a cheaper place if you want to spend the evening at a bar. Service started out very well but we ended up waiting a bit too long for a few of our courses and this was on a Monday night. Not bad for Tampa but NOT a favorite."

"Excellent ambiance and food! We were visiting from Oregon and it was close to the hotel (Marriott)and the outdoor patio with view was wonderful. Our relatives from Tampa selected it and we returned a second time our last evening in Tampa. Eating outside for us is maybe two months a year! Our waitress the second evening was Maria (I think)--an older lady who really knew her stuff. I noted her stations were close to the entrance, which was a kind gesture for her."

"Sunday Bunch had a great selection of foods available, food quality was very good, it is also a great value. I was there at 1:00PM and it seemed the staff was struggling to keep dishes full but every thing was available at some time or another . There were many parties going on which took the attention of much of the wait staff, we had to wait quite a while for service. Great location. The biggest problem I had was the presence of dogs in the dinning area. I don't know what the law regarding this is in Florida, but the state I live in only allows assistance dogs in restaurants, these were definitely not assistance dogs. If I choose not to return it would only be for the dog issue."

The portions were small and overpriced. The flavor and quality of the food was poor. The coconut shrimp appetizer reminded me of something frozen from Gordon Foods Warehouse.
Our server was either over sat with tables or was simply not very good. It felt rushed and disjointed. We had to ask for a drink menu. The appetizer came before our drinks. we had to flag our server down every time we needed something.
Lastly, he presented the bill while we were still eating our desert."

"It is what it is, which is decent food served up waterfront. I go for the atmosphere much moreso than the food.
The day we were there, they had no water (no fountain drinks - soda etc... served from a can), no coffee etc... Made up some story about Tampa Water blah blah blah. Would have been nice to tell us this before we were seated so we could have made other choices."

"My team was in Tampa for a convention, and it was late and decided to grab a bite to eat before heading to the room. We figured most places would be packed between our convention and the volleyball players in town. I was able to obtain a resevation for 8:30 through OT. We arrived, and were actually able to sit sooner, which was nice as we were very hungry. Our waiter, Shawn, was very attentive and easy going and very patient with me and my guests. They are sorta high maintenance. Overall our service was great! Our food was very tasty, and I would definitely recommend your establishment to friends visiting the area."

"The SERVICE was among the worst we have experienced. We arrived early for a 5:15 reservation as we were going to a play at the Straz. The restaurant was not yet busy although it was a Saturday night.
We were seated promptly and quickly ordered 2 Cocktails and 2 Sushi Rolls as an appetizer. It took the service bar nearly 20 minutes to produce the 2 drinks and the Cosmo was only 1/2 a glass and was poorly made. 30 Minutes later the appetizers had not arrived and when dinner was finally delivered 45 minutes later, we cancelled the appetizers.
Server said the Sushi Bar gets "Backed Up" REALLY?
Good Server, Poor SERVICE!"

"Overpriced for the quality of food and restaurant ambiance. We had made reservations for 6 p.m. and when we got there the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated in a table in a back room without a view (one of the good features of this restaurant is the views of Tampa Bay). When we complained to the host, we were seated in a booth far away from the views, again we expressed our displeasure since most of the tables were empty. After being totally ignored by the Host (he did not even look at me when I was talking)we asked to see the Manager who without even blinking moved us to a window table. The waiter was very pleasant and our meal was fine but for the prices that are charged there should at least be table cloths on the tables."

"We received a gift card to Jacksons and heard great things about it, so we were excited to try it out. There were a lot of groups there-from birthday celebrations to a couple of bachelorette parties. We had a great waiter who was just the right amount of attentive. He kept our drinks coming and made sure we were happy with our food. Speaking of the food--YUM! We had sushi as well as lobster mac and cheese for appetizers. We each had a different entree, and they were both delicious-especially my husband's steak. The food was clearly fresh and prepared with care. We truly enjoyed our experience."
