"We went there maybe four years ago and kept intending to come back. We are glad we did. The food was excellent and we dined early so service was very good and it was quiet. There are many dishes I would still like to try to we hope to make it back soon."

"The ambiance was good- this is a charming place. When we arrived the dining room was 50% full. We had a reservation and there were no other people waiting and we still had to wait ten minutes before being seated. It took about five to ten minutes for the waiter to greet us initially and it was another ten to fifteen minutes before we ever saw our waiter again. He seemed rushed and as if he did not have time to answer questions. I asked which menu items were the most popular. He mentioned two appetizers but informed that one was unavailable. He listed the most popular entree but stated this entree was unavailable. The entrees we ordered were extremely bland- average at best. I had high expectations but this one fell short."

"A lovely evening. We were meeting a couple who were quite late. The staff was gracious and moved around the reservation. I was a bit hesitant given the recent less than stellar recommendations, but found the food was very good, service attentive, atmosphere warm and inviting. We will certainly be back, in particular since part of our family is Muslim and find a place with Halal lamb is unusual indeed and having this be utterly delicious is an added benefit."

"A culinary trainwreck - i went back to this place after almost 14 years. Back then, it had a grat reputation and the food was unique, interesting and very good. Last night however, i had the worst meal ever at a restaurant in Boston. Something has clearly changed - a chef change, taking short cuts on ingredients or both, but the food was awful. The meats were supposed to slow-cooked but the two dishes we ordered tasted almost boiled!
