"Have been here quite often. Had requested a booth 3 months in advance for 1:30 PM (a booth was needed because of one of my friends' back problems). Upon arrival- all boths were occupied. Chairs won't work because there is no lower back support. This is a place where people sit FOREVER after paying. We thought we would wait for a booth- and ended up waiting about 45 minutes before we gave up and took a table."

"An excellent menu with adequate choices for all tastes. Everyone in our party of 6 thought the food very good. The place was full, on a Thursday night, and the noise level was high enough to make conversation difficult. Our water glasses were attentively kept full. The wine list is a bit high end, very few if any wines under $50, and there are NO pinot grigio or pinot gris' offered! The whites were practically all chardonnays which are losing favor here in Northern California. Overall, tho, the evening"

"What's not to love about Buckeye Roadhouse. I live only moments away so my husband and I dine here quite often. This afternoon, I took my best galpal to lunch for her birthday. It was delish and we were treated as usual, very well. We made a few changes to our order and it was done without a problem. Overall, todays lunch was wonderful.
I wish to mention however that the all time favorite dessert, the S'MORE PIE, is NOT the same pie as originally loved by all locals and foodies alike. PLEASE stop putting the chocolate flat discs in the pie! It makes the smooth, classy texture & yummy chocolate of previous days taste chalky and like melting discs you use for mass melting for dipping strawberries at weddings. MY ONLY NEG COMMENT."

"Our food was quite good but there were a couple of sour notes. The scallops dish was listed as coming with mache and a citrus vinegrette. My wife did not order a salad expected some salad on the plate. Unfortunately, it was a miniscule garnish not some greens with the meal. My other complaint was a very pricey wine list and a relatively high corkage fee. Restaurants often wave a corkage if you buy a bottle of wine off their menu. We had to buy an overpriced wine and then the corkage was not waived."

"What a disappointment! I ordered the same meal I had last time we were here because it was so good then. This time the ribs were burned on the bottom and dry. Also, the waitress brought my wetnap at the beginning of the meal, so that by the time I was done the wetnap was cold and barely moist. My husband's burger wasn't very good, either. Our friend's duck was the only good entree. The brussels sprouts were yummy and I had a wonderful cocktail."

"Having eaten here many times over the years, I will go back due to the many good meals. But, this Easter dinner was not one of them. They didn't have liver on the menu, which is one dish they are known for. They ran out of lamb (for a 5:30 reservation), the local sole had 3 small pieces the size of silver dollars. The vegetables and potatoes were as good as ever. We were told it was a special holiday menu, but there were no special dishes like ham, just the regular menu minus the liver and lamb. We were comped a dessert to make up for the problems."

"Whenever we are in the San Fransisco area we make it a point to stop in at Buckeye Roadhouse. We have been dining there for about ten years for lunch and or dinner and have never been disappointed. They have a nice dining room but lately we enjoy grabbing a booth in the bar. It is a lot smaller and less formal but the service is still good. One of our favorite dishes is the grilled artichoke, we order it everytime."

"Typically Buckeye is consistent and delicious. I don't know why, but the food was awful. The fish was flavorless and the presentation was poor. We sent back both fish entrees and were given a chicken plate that was lacking, as well. Hopefully, it was just an off night. We were very disappointed. Fortunately, the waiter was gracious, understanding and extremely professional."

"The wine list had a Barbera, and a good one at that. The meals we had were duck two ways and butternutt squash lasagna. The duck was exceptional. Dessert was the Smore pie which was AWESOME!!! The lemon cream cake was also great! The ambiance was very nice with a great big fireplace and a great view. It seemed like most customers were locals and the owner did a walk thru and knew most tables. Overall it was a great experience."

"The night we went they were serving a fish called pacific halibut on a bed of some kind of rice. It was not on the menue. Two of us ordered it and were very disappointed. The fish was florvorless and completely over cooked. The service was good, the room noisy (Monday evening). The salmon was OK, but also a bit dried out (I had ordered medium rare). The best part of the meal was desert."
