"We asked to be seated in the outside patio - it was quiet except for the freeway hum - our waitress, Katy was superb - not only was she efficient but she exuded enthusiasm and warmth - she even loaned her dark glasses to my friend who had forgotten her pair. All in all a great time was had by the mothers!"

"The Buckeye is my favorite restaurant in Marin.
I feel at home and pampered at the same time.
It is a wonderful special occasion restaurant for couples, families, work associates.
Come with an appetite. The food is amazing from starters through dessert!
My two particular favorites are the duck and the filet mignon and I highly recommend
their brussels sprouts. These are definitely not the brussels sprouts I used to avoid as a kid."

"We have been going to this restaurant for very many years so knew why we chose it to meet our out-of-town friend ( who had a bit of a hard time finding it even though she knew where it was). Free friendly valet parking starts off the experience, we were seated promptly, service was delightful and accurately provided, and the food was delicious (as always). Never had a bad experience at the Buckeye Roadhouse, highly recommended."

"I have been to Buckeye Roadhouse several times over the years. This time was not up to par.
We started out with the artichoke appetizer that was good. I had the lamb shank. The waitress said that it falls off the bone, hardly. It was very dry and was too small.
I had the Rhubarb Pie that was very good, My friend had the chocolate cake and was not impressed.
I hope that this was an off night."

"We where just visiting the area and wanted to find something for my husbands 60th birthday-we saw this made reservations and where so glad we did. The food was great the service was excellant and even with the late notice and reservations they remembered I said it was his birthday and put a candle in his dessert and said happy birthday I would recommand this place for anyone passing through for a good dinner with a lot of class but not stuffy. Casual attire is excepted."

"It was a Tuesday evening and we were surprised at how busy the Roadhouse was. There were business groups, family events, couples and everyone was having a wonderful evening!!! The employees were attentive, but never, never interrupting - no simple task! We were amazed at how the acoustics allowed us to enjoy our conversation without yelling at each other, but... we could, when we chose, listen to some of the spirited conversations that were going on around us. Great food, not rushed at all, wonderful experience that we will definitely repeat!!!"

"The service was great and so was our dinner!
The onion rings appetizer was delicious, drinks were delivered quickly, and our server was very nice. I had the petit filet mignon with spinach and potatoes au gratin and it was the best steak dinner I've had in a long time! Cooked perfectly, perfect size, and the potato was AMAZING. The only downside to the experience is the 2 top tables are way too together especially if you're trying to have a romantic dinner."

"Overall we had a very nice dinner experience. The service was very good. The seating was a little odd because we had a booth and there was a round table placed quite close to where we were seated. We could not get out of our booth without disrupting the party that was seated at the round table.
We had a group of 5 with us and we all enjoyed a range of appetizers and entrees. I had the Oysters Bingo appetizer (YUM) and Ribeye entree. The Ribeye was a bit chewy for the price. It appeared that everyone else in the party liked what they had and we would all come back again."

"Both food and service has slipped since we were last there. Menu adequate and food okay. Very noisey. Four diners ordered gin and tonic - tonic was flat in each. When we mentioned to wait staff we were told that there was nothing they could do about it. They could make something else if we wanted. No apology just "that's the wasy it is.
Formerly loved the place. Will not likely return."

"The food was wonderful. Lovely restaurant. The only problem we had was we ordered a diet coke that ended up being flat. When we mentioned this to the waiter she said she new their soda machine was broken. She left it on our bill. I was surprised they served the coke and when they acknowledged the problem charged us."

"My brother really wanted to come here, had heard it was incredible. I would rate it good to very good, but not definitely not incredible. Service was attentive, and employees were accommodating to our fairly large party size. My only real compliant was, there really wasn't a waiting area. I came early to chat w family members and enjoy a nice cocktail in my hand and the bar tables were filled with diners and no place to sit. So the main hallway had to do and it was awkward."
