Shula’s Steak House - Westin Hotel Chicago Northwest has been ranked among the top five steak houses in America since 1991. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a virtual museum of the 1972 PERFECT season of the Miami Dolphins. Our restaurant is built on serving the "best beef money can buy" and serves only Premium Black Angus Beef. All of our steaks feature the SHULA CUT which is center cut, aged to perfection premium black angus beef.

"We celebrated my daughters first anniversary. She was married at the Westin Itasca NW one year ago.
The food/service was excellent. We were treated royally. We had a really terrific experience and would totally recommend it.
A bit pricey but we knew that going in....but it was definitely worth the money...the steaks were to die for."

"Comfortable atmosphere where you can relax , enjoy good food, good friends and excellent service.
It was my wife's birthday which was recognized by the staff as they greeted us at door and throughout dinner as well..
She had the prime rib, perfectly cooked and I had a New York strip steak cooked just the way I like it.
The sides of grilled asparagus and potatoes were a great accompaniment to the meal as well.
We finished with lava cake for dessert, very good as well.
It was a great dining experience. All went smoothly from the convenience of making the reservation through open table to the professional, friendly wait staff at Shula's, and of course the great food!"

"I have eaten at Shula's before, and always enjoy the meal. Although it is located in a "hotel" you are not being offered "hotel food". Highly recommend it -- especially their lobster bisque soup -- it is to die for."

"Dinner was incredible. We ordered appetizers of tuna, beef tips, and calamari. All were delicious. The steaks are are so tender a knife is hardly necessary! And don't leave without trying the molten chocolate cake. It's so rich and chocolatey ... unlike any other I've had.
Can't end my review without mentioning the unbelievable service we were given. We felt completely pampered by the time we left. Our servers were always there and available without ever being in the way."

"We frequently visit Shula's for its consistant good service and well prepared food.
Took the wife for her birthday dinner Saturday evening and once the wait staff knew of the special day, offered her a complimentary custom made dessert for two... nice touch and very tasty.
The follow up visit phone call to me the next day by management is caring and classy too.
This restaurant ranks with us highly and compares as well to Ruths Chris and Mortons, so Shula's is well worth the visit."

"I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Our service was the worst we have encountered. Never offered a second drink. First drink was missing lime, and had to wait forever for them to bring one after asking twice. Server after ignoring us for 10 minutes came over and asked "so are you going to eat something?". Greeter made a big point to tell my boyfriend all about how delicious his bday dessert would be, only for nobody to ever bring it. Our steaks were improperly cooked and had to be sent back. And they piled both our meals on top of one another along with our sides into one box with no seperators. All this cost me a couple hundred. Felt like my boyfriends special night was ruined. Skip this place."

"All kinds of delicious. The steaks are beautifully cooked and taste great. The sides are extremely delicious and go very well with the steaks.
Myself, I went with my family and had the 16oz New York Strip, with mash potatoes asparagus on the side. Highly recommend all of those. You can also ask for a more thinly sliced steak if you so require.
My family also had the lamb porterhouse and the 48oz steak. All of it was great and my brother even finished the 48oz behemoth. Great experience, and very friendly staff.
Of course, if you come here, you should expect a very large bill at the end of the night, but it's hard to beat the quantity and quality of the steaks here."

"Shula's was a nice choice for a special occasion we were celebrating. Typical steakhouse menu and pricing, with evertyhing a la carte. As others have noted, service was terribly slow at times. It was nice to not feel rushed through dinner, but everything seemed to take too long, from initial greeting through check. While the restaurant was far from full, they didn't seem to have enough servers to properly service the patrons who were there. We would consider returning but have other favorite steakhouses we'd probably head to first."

"My steak had a little too much fat on it, especially when they brag about the shula cut and 99% fail to meet it. They said we had two servers helping us, but the bus boy got my son refills on his diet coke three time. We had a an email Birthday certificate for my wife and we spent over 30 minutes trying to get the bill taken care of. Finally they just looked at my wife's drivers license to verify. We've been there before, my wife's steak was good, my was a little too fatty. Don't think I'll be back even with a coupon."

"We were still waiting for our steaks an hour and forty five minutes after being seated. Eventually just paid for the starters and drinks and left, after the manager in stead of apologising, told us it is normal for their dining experience to wait that long....
