"Visiting College Station for my son's graduation from Texas A&M, I celebrated the occasion with my entire family at Veritas. This was the second time we had dined there and the experience was just as good as the first. Living in Dallas I've eaten at a lot of the famous steak restaurants, but the filet at Veritas was, for the second time, the best I've ever eaten. The espresso rub added a unique flavor and the meat was cooked to perfection. Everyone in our party had great things to say about their meal, and the desserts make for a perfect ending. The setting is upscale and quiet, and even though it's hard to find (tucked behind other restaurants) I'll have to find reasons to return to College Station so I can eat at Veritas."

"Our family celebrated the graduation of our son from A&M and this turned out to be the perfect place. Excellent food, wonderful service, nice wine list, and we all had an enjoyable evening. We selected Veritas based on Open Table feedback and it lived up to everything we expected."

"The food was simply amazing but while live music is nice not in the middle.of the restaurant. We could not hear each other at all and our server was not very attentive. Took way too long to get a hold of him and to ask to move where my father could actually hear us. We were there for my graduation and the first 30 min were awful. And for the amount of food given a bit too pricey."

"Most requested dessert was not available. Almond pound cake was dry. Not enough mango salsa on shrimp flatbread.All other dishes ordered were excellent flavor, presentation, and quantity.Diet coke syrup needs to be adjusted - too much syrup, not enough carbonation. Dr Pepper may also need to be adjusted.Gellato was outstanding!"

"Veritas is our local favorite. It has the quality food you'd expect in a big city but with smaller city prices and lots of ambiance. The wait staff are knowledgeable and very accommodating--and they remember our special requests on repeat visits. You will find us at Veritas every Saturday for lunch when we are in town--it has become a family tradition."

"We love Veritas and have been here a number of times. I had their fresh beet salad with crumbled goat cheese followed by a delicious fish, John Dory served over Israeli couscous and tiny, delicious brussel sprouts.
My husband and his colleague both had "simply grilled sea bass" and loved it."

"Veritas has been my favorite place in CS for the last two years. On this visit, my experience was not the best. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant, warm with excellent music but the food was not up to par. Maybe it was a bad day."

"The food was delicious. We will definitely go back next time we are in College Station. Our only complaint is that there were only two tables seated in the restaurant while we were there and the service was terrible. The hostess had friends at the other table so they had the attention of the hostess and were served before us. At one point, I had to get up and ask to have our drinks refilled. I also found it very unprofessional to see the server behind the bar eating his lunch when we couldn't even get served."

"Things that were great - Alex (our server), steak (perfectly seasoned and cooked), crabcakes (delish!), extra sides (very tasty). Things that were not so great - tables so close that we could hear conversation next to us (this is probably not the restaurant's problem - think the guy liked to hear himself talk and was using his 'cellphone voice'!); did not have either of our first wine selections; prices a tad high for area. Overall though - loved it and will go back for sure!"

Part of our group wanted to leave.
