"What a perfect night. Granted for those who remember this sis not ma Madison but a bistro. Everything was defect. The beet salad was a tower of beets topped with goat cheese nit the typical couple of chunks of beets and a bunch of lettuce, the escargots were terrific and the modules were quite good although small. The frites were ther best. Server was terrific. Of dessert we could donot decide between the fruit crumble and he profiteroles. Took the crumble and they brought the profiteroles gratis as I ha raved about hem elsewhere. For the standard type, they excelled, rich dark chocolate, cream puffs crisp and ice cream excellent. We will go back. It was truly a night that could have been in Paris except they spoke English."

"Took my mom here for Mother's Day. It's a cute place and the food was good, but we never got any bread - very strange for a French restaurant. Our waitress disappeared so we tried asking the busboy, but he never returned with any bread. We ordered escargots for an appetizer and really wanted bread to sop up the garlicky butter. We gave up by the time our food arrived, and when we told our waitress, she tried to blame it on the busboy. Otherwise the food and atmosphere were good. I ordered the rainbow trout, my mom the steak tartare. Both dishes were well-presented and tasty. Would recommend going here, just make sure you ask for bread!"

"After reading the reviews here and elsewhere, we expected a much better meal.
We dined at the restaurant on Mother's Day brunch. My omelet--a spinach, basil, tomato and goat cheese selection--thich was only fair(and greasy)was served a number of minutes after my husband and son received their orders. As such, their meals were lukewarm when they proceeded to eat, as they opted to, as a courtesy to me, wait until I received mine.
The potatoes served with the meals were greasy. My husband asked for his sausage to be well done. It was served in small slices, dripping in grease.
My son's mussels were "adequate"--not excellent as other reviewers had indicated.
All of that said, MEET IN PARIS is a mediocre wannabe.

"I took my wife and my 3 year old here for mother's day brunch. The service was good, but at the same time, the food took a little bit long to arrive. Also the tables were a little bit small. When you're with a 3 year old these things matter. I will definitely try and go there again. The food was really good, and there are other things on the menu that I want to try out. Besides, it looked like it was a very busy day for them."

"I loved my duck special and we enjoyed sharing the pate appetizer . My husband ordered the boulliabaise as it is a favorite and was recommended in reviews. He was quite disappointed in the broth which he felt was quite tasteless. The ingredients were very good though. I tasted one of his mussels and will definitely order them next time."

"We sat at the outside patio on a warm night and had a delightful dinner of mussels and frites. "MEET in Paris was a great beginning to an evening of great company and great entertainment. Me and my date were impressed by the amazing selection of mussels on the menu, and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The rest of the evening was highly professional: our table was ready for us, the wait staff was very helpful in helping us make choices, as well as not being intrusive during our dinner; and we were able to make it to the theatre on time. Great little restaurant."

"My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and thought it would be fun to invoke our honeymoon in Paris. We ate at one of the sidewalk tables and felt far from Culver City. We shared a beet salad -- the beets were great but the warm goat cheese sat atop like a cold, rubbery pancake. My husband had the all-you-can-eat mussels and frites special and enjoyed it. I opted for the flat iron steak. It was fairly tasty but really tough. We shared a chocolate dessert which the waiter raved about and we thought was pretty good but not divine. The food wasn't perfect but the overall impression was favorable and we will be back. The place is fun, convivial. The prices are fair and we found street parking. It's a winner in our book."

"While the name is a little awkward, Meet in Paris delivers on that premise: If you ignore the fact downtown Culver City lies just beyond the sidewalk you can easily imaging yourself in a small neighborhood bistro in a chic arrondissemont of Paris. Food and service (albeit with American-accented English) match if not surpass most French bistros. Daily specials and happy hours make this a real find. It opened four years ago, meaning it the oldest establishment on this now hot block of Culver City."

"We adored this restaurant. We live in Hollywood, but thought we'd transported to another part of the world. (For the record, we love Hollywood!) How great to sit outside on a broad sidewalk among rows of tables from various restaurants. The food was delicious. Definitely true the mustard sauce mussels. I had salmon, perfectly grilled. My husband had the duck which was moist, light and delicious. The wait staff could not have been nicer, more attentive without hovering or ready to please. We'll come back for Tuesday or Wednesday night all-you-can-eat mussels night. You should, too!"

From "Kir Royal" aperitif through "Chocolate fondant" dessert, it was pure pleasure. We had yummy Mussels a la moutarde with drinks,best mussels I've ever had, and my husband had the seared scallops. Delicious trout that melted in your mouth, amazing steak/frites. "Cute little French bistro that does everything right- friendly service, delectable cuisine, and good prices. Most appetizers were around $10, whicg made the escargot and French onion soup even better! Entrees are $20-30, and the duck confit was easily the best I've ever had. "I have very difficult food restrictions and this restaurant handled my special requests better than almost any place I've eaten. The waiter was super responsible. I needed pommes frites with salt only, no pepper and sauteed spinach also with salt only. They make the sauteed spinach from scratch for each order, so they were able to make it for me with salt only, no garlic. When the waiter brought my fish and spinach, he told me that he he had caught that the pommes frites had pepper on them, and so they were remaking them. I rarely have the waiter catch such things - I am usually the one that figures it out and has to send it back. I also had the salmon, plain of course, and it was about as perfectly cooked as salmon can be."

"Great restaurant and I'm happy I found it. I had reservations and was seated in the very back of the restaurant and I had to request a better table since I made reservations. They promptly moved me and the service was great. My creme brûlée was burnt, but everything else was fantastic."

"We always enjoy our meals at MEET. The mussels are consistently wonderful with so many choices. I am a traditionalist and stick with mariniere or a la creme. A bit noise this time - probably because of the big guy with the big voice at a table for six nearby. When I asked to turn down the music they were cooperative."

"We went for Easer sunday first visit. Food was overall good but not great. Seating was not the most comfortable as the flooring was uneven throughout. Steak frites is your best bet but the bernaise sauce was too lumpy and thick. The chocolate dessert was pretty good. The house wine was not so good. And after living in Paris house wine is always good at a bistro. The mussels everyone was ordering looked fantastic and seemed to be the house specialty. I hope to try again with better luck."

"I had Easter Sunday brunch with a friend of mine and the food was delicious! I ordered les moules frites a la Meet in Paris and it reminded me of les moules frites that I had last summer while visiting Le Havre in the Normandy region of France. It was THAT good. The mimosas were terrific as well. The service was excellent - our waitress was very attentive and the rest of the staff were very helpful. My new favorite restaurant in Culver City."

"A pleasant experience on a Monday night. The weather was warm enough to eat outside and the service was attentive but not crowded. The mushroom soup special was excellent and the steak au poivre was good but perhaps bit overdone for my taste (my choice of temperature was not requested at time of order). My colleagues mussels were excellent. Overall, worth trying again with clearer direction on my part."
