"Food was excellent as usual, a real neighbourhood gem. However, this time the service fell behind. The first waiter disappeared after greeting us and pour some water glass. We waited ... and waited for him to return to place our wine order. We were a table of 6 for an anniversary celebration. Got up to speak with another waiter as we had difficulty falgging down our first waiter. The 2nd waiter was excellent and very attentive as soon as he noticed our displeasure. Explained in detail the specials and took our orders speedily. This is constructive comment and we will return as the food is always consistent."

"As it turns out I have not been there for over 2 years. the new decor was a surprise - still in the bicycle theme - more current with a wide open feel to the restaurant. The food was as consistent as I remember. the Calamari and Shrimp were delicious - as was the veal. We appreciated the relaxed approach - no sense of being rushed - just relaxing consistent service. Well worth going to this special spot."

"An interestingly modern looking restaurant, yet comfortable and lively. The food is consistently very good. The pastas are always delicious, the homemade sausage is different every time we go and very tasty. The mains have never disappointed and the veal and lamb are always tender and cooked to perfection. Service is friendly and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and always look forward to spending an evening there."

"The resto was very beautifully decorated, the bike chain lamps were awesome as they fit the Coppi cyclist theme perfectly. The 5 pink bike bars represent Coppi's five victories, according to the waiter. The food was excellent, had an anchovy appetizer, followed by mushroom risotto, grouper entrée, italian sausage entrée, and tartufo desert. Other than the sausage being a bit too salty, everything was nicely refined and the portions were adequate. The place was quiet since we were the only ones there when we got there, but it was early, a party was going on in the upstairs room and the main dining room picked up. Would recommend for a special occasion. They Valet cars for 10$, and the green P lot isn't too far."

"Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere (the restaurant itself is named after a famous cyclist, therefore there are several "bicycle-inspired" details around the small dining room. Quick service, in the winter however, being that the dining room is not big, you feel when the door opens each time.
I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend it to any lover of Italian fine dining! (Who isn't?!)"

"Great experience. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Must try dishes: whole fish baked under salt crush and mushroom risotto. Definitely going back for special occasion."

"Meh. Not much to note: small and pretentious portions that were over-priced. Their "signature seafood dish" was a tiny bowl of steamed mussels and clams, with a few octopus bits, and no taste to speak of. We had to drown the "dinner" in a whole bottle of wine, and left hungry after a $147 bill. This was supposed to be a romantic Valentine's dinner; instead it became our own tiny comedy, capped by the waiter bringing us a salad to share and toppling the wine bottle all over us and the table. Oh well: next time we'll stick to downtown Italian restaurants in little Italy."

"The overall experience was okay. The food was okay. I ordered the Gnocchetti as my entree, it was good but came out lukewarm. My tiramisu was average. Nothing special. The service was mediocre. Our server really didn't listen to what we were saying. He got our wine order wrong and was a little arrogant. He didn't make us feel like it was a warm inviting place to eat. And the ambience made me feel like that. I really liked all the biking related pictures on the wall. I had heard such good things about it but overall was not too impressed. I live really close but don't think I would go again."

"Oh how I wish I'd known how incredible the tiramisu is. Someone else at the table ordered it (I ordered something else). Divine! We were there for Winterlicious. The rest of the meal was good, but not particularly outstanding. Service was very good, wait staff was appropriately attentive."

"I attended Winterlicious with my girlfriends and although we were told that we would only have a total of 2 hours at our table, they were friendly and very nice. I was lost getting to the restaurant and the hostess was very kind and patient giving me directions on the phone. my soup was FANTASTIC and my girlfriends enjoyed their meals as well. So glad I recommended the restaurant as I had heard about it for years but this was my first time. The noise level was a bit loud but it was packed. i will definitely be back with my husband."

"I was looking for a new place to try out and decided to try one of the restaurants listed in the Winterlicious guide. I chose Coppi. We were late for our reservations, but lucky for us they had valet so we didn't have to worry about finding a parking space. The service from the time we walked in to the time we left was high notch. My friend decided to choose from the main menu and I chose from the Winterlicious menu. We were both very impressed and would definitely go back as well as recommending it to all our friends."

"The restaurant decor was nice but the acoustics were terrible in that you couldn't even hear the person across from you talk. Food was good but would have been better if it was warmer. Service was friendly and prompt."

"It must be Winterlicious, the restaurant was packed and we had to wait 30 mins for our reservation which was made for 8:30p) This place is not really meant for speedy service, which was strange when Winterlicious is supposed to have an abridged menu for all the guest.
All in all, experience was OK. Problems are below:
1) Speed of service -- slow -- took about 30 mins for our main to come thru 2) Apps were REALLY small -- albiet taste good, but it was small 3) Took a long time to seat us 4) Food was under-seasoned. Grouper was cooked well, but no salt. Striploin the same.
The good: 1) Hostess was trying her best to keep things in order 2) Friendly staff"

"Looks a bit barren. Decent food, OK wine. Must have been a slow night when we were there, on a Wednesday. The tables are set quite far apart - nice, and it makes it look very open."

"Authentic Italian comfort food. The bread before the meal is the best I've come across anywhere. Crusty with just the right amount of sale, rosemary and olive oil served warm. Mmmmm. Had the grouper with roasted vegetables which was quite tasty. Carpaccio (in my estimation this is the mark of a great restaurant) was excellent as was the Caesar salad. Great wine list too. I've been there many times and will continue to go back. Can be a bit noisy on busy nights."
