"This was the second anniversary we have eaten at Bistro Vendome and each experience was to shelf. The wait staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. We had the Duck and it was outstanding. The recommended wine was perfect for our meal and we recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves French Cuisine and a very lovely evening out."

"A hidden gem with the best scallops and great wine! First of all, the outdoor garden is beauty and makes you feel like you are in France. Our server was really knowledgeable about wine and we were really satisfied with the two bottles of wine we ended up getting. We ordered the duck leg confit, pan-seared scallops, steak and halibut. Everything was cooked perfectly and we had a great time. The mussels, appetizer, was fresh and I would say the best mussels I've had in Denver. The scallop was my favorite because it was so perfect that it melts in my mouth. I thought Linger's scallop was perfect but this is better. I would definitely come back and I would love to try their brunch menu on a weekend afternoon."

"Two of us in our party of four came to specifically have Truite en Croute. It was very disappoingting that it is no longer on the menu. We opted for the halibut instead which was good but not as good as the trout dish. We all had salads and entrees; we all left hungry. The portions were very small. Having eaten many times before at Bistro Vendome, I don't remember that this was ever the case in the past. So, unfortunately, I don't think we will be back.

"A few steps away from the hustle & bustle of Larimer Square, and you're suddenly in the peaceful French countryside. Fabulous authentic country-french cuisine, with service to match. A relaxed, informal atmosphere. A knowledgeable and friendly wait-staff can help you through an impressive wine list. This was our third or fourth visit, with never a disappointment. Wonderful, rich onion soup, well-seasoned steak tartare, and lamb loin for me cooked to perfection, and a duck confit (daily special) for Judy--she wouldn't even share it!"

"A great place to dine for brunch. Not as memorable this time as they took off a very popular dish from their menu that I was looking forward to. The duck galette was an experience like none other. I asked the waiter what chocolate they used in their hot chocolate. He said Hershey's. Seriously? At a nice French bistro? Something wrong with this when there are great French chocolates that should be used to match the theme. Valhrona? That should be a no-brainer. Overall the food was delicious but not as memorable as times before. I don't know if a change in chefs is to blame or not. Macarons for dessert were memorable and outstanding!"

"Bistro Vendome never fails to provide a 1st class dining experience, whether it is brunch, lunch or dinner. We took some friends from New York last Friday evening, and they were astounded at this sophisticated and also approachable place. The amuse bouche was a minty pea and cream starter. We split 2 orders of the "shaved cucumber/crab" dish, and frankly we all wished we had ordered one for each of us, that appetizer went down fast and fresh. 2 people at our table had the scallops and pronounced them deliceous, 1 person had the 3 part seafood special for the evening which turned out to be a most unique dish, I had the mussels which are never as good anywhere else in Denver. The frites were passed around and enjoyed by everyone."
