"Although pricey, these steaks are the best! You can hear the delicious sizzling of them as they are brought to the table. We also love the caesar salad, the sweet potato casserole and the green beans. The service is always impeccable and friendly, too. This is a great restaurant for a special occasion or when you want to impress."

"Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. The food was excellent. You have an entree and anything you want with that entree is an extra cost ie. potatoes, vegetables , salad. etc. With drinks and appetizers and dessert you are at about $125-150 a person. Great service, great restaurant just be aware of the expense,."

"The prices are high but I have never had a better steak. My husband and I split the porterhouse for two and had leftovers. We would definitely go back for a special occasion. The prices are too high to make this a "regular" restaurant."

"This particular location is divided up into 2 sections. Our first visit, my wife and I really enjoyed the ambiance (plus food/service), but this second time, I felt like I was sitting in a banquet hall. Though the food was still good and the service was as well, I was underwhelmed by the private section of the restaurant. Other than that, no issues with our experience."

"We dine at Ruth's Chris Restaurants often and enjoy it every time but this one is the best! We always get the stuffed chicken breast and this one kicks it up a knotch on the cheese, it oozes from the chicken when you cut into it. It's phenomenal. Granted, the steaks are always great too, but if you haven't tried the chicken yet give it a shot! The chopped salad is the best I've ever had as well, don't pass it up."

"It was our anniversary dinner, so we roughly set $100 per person budget for this dinner. With drink and desert, the final bill was just as we planned. Despite of short notice, they made a special personalized menu for our table. Everyone serving at our table seemed to know that it was our anniversary. I'm very impressed. The steak cooked perfectly. Really really good. Side dishes are good, but not that wonderful. The bar serves very good drinks here. I ordered a cocktail, which was very tasty and pretty.My husband ordered a glass of wheat beer, whixh was in perfect temp and form & liquid balance. This seems to be easy, but not many places give us this level of satisfaction.

"The greek salad was fresh and tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly and cut like butter. I had the green bean casserole which was good but it should have been called mushroom casserole. I am not an mushroom lover so it was a little disappointing to find more mushrooms than green beans. Raspberry sorbet was fantastic!

"Was very disappointed in the filets. We go to Ruth's Chris for special occasions. When you spend $44 each for two filets and one has gristle and the other is not cooked to your order, it's disappointing. We should have told our server, but it was my husband's birthday and he didn't want to complain and we should not have to do that at an expensive steak place. We will not go back there. Everything else was good - especially the service, but the steaks are why we go."

"After making a 6 pm reservation for a Saturday night, we were seated in the rear banquet room, instead of the main dining room. The dining room was not full, so I can only think they were trying to give new wait staff an opportunity. My wife wanted a good filet. Knowing some steakhouses don't provide prime filets, I asked to confirm the quality. The waitress informed me the "chef couldn't get prime filets". It was an honest, but ridiculous response. Anyone can procure prime filets at a good butcher shop, or on-line from Stockyards.! I ordered a ribeye medium. It took the restaurant 3 tries to get it right. They did comp my steak but this diner's going back to Gibson's in the future!"

"If you do not have an amazing meal at Ruth Chris you only have yourself to blame. They pride themselves in getting orders right and prefer you tell them if they did get it wrong so they can remedy it quickly! Special Occasions are a treat to hold at Ruth Chris. They make it special - our reservations were on Open Table so I stated it we were celebrating a 3oth birthday. The hostess, our waiter and the manager wished birthday greetings to our guest. The menus were specially printed with birthday girls name and birthday greetings. The dessert we ordered Creme Brulee had Happy 30th Birthday written in chocolate on the dessert plate. The service was top notch and the meal delectable. I would not hesitate to recommed Ruth Chris South Barrington!"

"This is the place for ice cold martinis and sizzling steaks. By far, our most favorite restaurant. What they do to a dinner plate with butter before placing a steak for serving is absolutely amazing, hands down. This visit was a smidge heavy handed with the spinkle of pepper seasoning, but still very, very good. Side portions are still large enough to share except maybe the salads...but that is just my impression; we're big salad eaters. Our server was great; our meal paced perfectly and even a delightful dessert sampler surprise to celebrate our anniversary. We save Ruth's Chis for special occasions because the tab can get a little high, especially with apps and wine, but worth every penny."

"We took our son here for his 18th birthday. On top of the fact that everything we ordered was DELICIOUS, the service went way above and beyond. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. They hostess presented us with menus that had been personalized to wish our son a "Happy 18th Birthday". Everyone from the server to the manager to the table busser took excellent care of us and wished him happy birthday and made him feel special. At the end of dinner he received a beautiful dessert with another birthday wish on the plate as well as a hand written birthday card from the server and the restaurant manager and they presented him with his personalized menu as a keepsake. Thank you for making our sons day!"

"I was expecting a Morton's like experience, I ordered the cowboy ribeye and my date ordered the filet. My medium cowboy ribeye was medium rare at best, and my dates medium rare was rare. The ribeye and filet were both very chewy and not melt in your mouth. The flavor was good, but overall the steaks were not what you would expect when you pay around $50 a piece. The service was slow as well. I don't know if the head chef was off that day or what, but I'll just go to Morton's from now on. It wasn't a good first experience."

"Ruth Chris was amazing like always. I have dined here before and the steak are cooked to perfection every time, they cut like butter and just melts in your mouth. However, this time the steak was a little under par, but I believe it's due to them being so busy on Valentine's weekend, which is very understandable. Overall I had a very lovely dining experience and will never have steak anywhere else again except for Ruth Chris! On a side note, our waitress, I believe her name was Jennifer was amazing as well ;)"
