"A wine list that is affordable, and food that will knock your socks off. This restaurant is well worth the short trip from the town site. It's actually a very walk-able distance from down town if you don't mind climbing a hill. The food is top notch, and the service is great. The restaurant is on Tunnel mountain and is raised above the other buildings around it, making for what is arguably the best view in Banff. Perfect for a romantic dinner overlooking the Bow Valley and the townsite. This place is a must see for foodies, and those looking for something special."

"I visited the restaurant with two people who are both "foodies" and excellent cooks. When we received our main course, we didn't even talk to each other because we were just enjoying each perfect bite. The view is simply spectacular with a panoramic view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows. The service was lovely and professional. With mountain views, exquisite food and elegant ambiance, it is by far my favorite restaurant."

"From the moment we walked in, I just knew we were in for a treat. The view is simply magnificent! We dined on a Monday night, so there were not many other tables seated. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.
From the cocktail list to the dessert menu, decisions were very difficult to make. I wanted to order a sampling of everything! The wine list had a very substantial selection.
Even the little warm nuggets of bread were delightful, complete with a small plate of four different types of butter. The sun-dried tomato butter was our favorite, followed by the sea salted butter.
The service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Banff."

"This restaurant at The Banff Centre is one of the best in Banff National Park. The quality of the food and the the presentation is extremely high. The service is very professional. The Executive Chef and his team go out of their way to make this an outstanding experience for the diner, and we did not go away disappointed in any way. As an added bonus, the dining room is all glass, and affords a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountain valley looking west. The perch and trout entree was perfectly cooked with a mild sauce. The Alberta lamb rack was tender and juicy, with an array of garden vegetables colourfully accenting the plate."

"The view through the windows was amazing, however I felt like we were sitting in a cafeteria at an airport. The food was fantastic but the servers had no clue how to describe the menu items. She described the carrot soup as 'It's carroty and I have only had rabbit once and it was good' The chef should be aware that the servers are not selling his/her meals with any knowledge and professionalism. I would return for the quality of the food."

"A little bit off the beaten path meaning you will need to drive or cab it, but it is still only 5 minutes from downtown Banff. The food, views and service are worth it. We had 2 appetizers, 2 mains and a bottle of wine...including tip it came to $167 which is pretty good for a class restaurant."

"Food was OK - a medium rack of lamb came back as medium rare; for a one-glass Wine Spectator restaurant, the selection of wines by the glass was limited. Generally OK, convenient if staying at The Banff Centre, but probably won't return."

"The food here is amazing and it's just a hidden gem. Had the wild mushroom soup, elk carpaccio, ravioli, and duck. All of it was amazing including desert!"

"We arrived early for the reservation, the place was empty besides 2 tables (of 2 and 4), and were told to wait at the bar for another 15 minutes so as not to overwhelm the server. Each plate was beautifully presented. Great amuse-bouche. The elk capacio was entirely bland while the beet salad was fantastic. The beef tenderloin was perfectly done with the au jus accenting it nicely. Bison done 2 ways, while a lovely cut, was substantially over-cooked. Both dishes would benefit from a better blend of sides to balance and accent the meal rather than using them strictly for esthetic purposes. Desert: the mousse was excellent and... something else was unmemorable. Service was well-paced, unobtrussive but lacking confidence and knowledge."

"Excellent food although I couldn't shake the cafeteria like ambience of the restaurant which was divided from the larger more informal area by a partial wall. Empty on a Saturday evening at 7? Perhaps only the locals know about it? Unsure but the food was really good."
